New Host Adapter plugin for Illustrator CC 2014?

I'm seeing that the Host Adapter plugin for Illustrator CC does not work for Illustrator CC 2014. I've checked that the AIHostAdapater.aip file is installed in the correct AI CC 2014 folder. But calling AIEventAdapater.getInstance().pingPlugIn() always results in "pingTimedOut".
Is there a new AIHostAdapater plugin forthcoming for Illustrator CC 2014? Or is it available somewhere to download? It is not available as an update through Extension Builder.

Plugin for Illustrator v15.0.0 (CS5) to password protect a layer

Does anyone know if there is a new plugin for illustrator that will password protect a layer. The plugin Master Lock only works in Illustrator version 8 and 9.
Is there a newer version that works with CS5 ?

I have just come across this same issue when looking for a way to password protect layers. Did you ever find anything, or has anyone else found something??? I'm also curious in getting Master Lock for AI v 8 and 9 to see if I can develop my own plugin for current versions of Illustrator.

Does anybody know of a parametric design plugin for illustrator similar to Grasshopper?

I have a situation where I would like to make complex parametric transformations to 2D shapes, much like you can do in Grasshopper for Rhino. Does anybody know of such a plugin for Illustrator?

Pattern maker plugin for Illustrator?

I'm looking for a decent pattern maker plugin for Illustrator. There is an app called Seamless Studio (http://www.colourlovers.com/seamless-studio) that has the functionality I'm seeking, but it's a stand-alone program. Is there a plugin out there that has its functionality?
(PS: I know how to make patterns the manual way, just looking for a faster and easier method.)

New Account - Trial Already Expired for Illustrator CC 2014

I've just created an Adobe ID yesterday, and when I went to try the Illustrator CC 2014 (after downloading CC and Illustrator CC 2014 on my Mac), my trial was said to have already expired. I've not even had this account but a day, yet it says my 30-day trial is gone without having even used the product. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Creative Cloud and Illustrator, but it still will not work. Any ideas?

Aihostadapter for illustrator cc 2014 (for use with flex)

Flex extensions are still working in Illustrator CC 2014, so before we jump to new CEP panels - is there a way to get aihostadapter working for CC 2014? currently it's not working, i.e. I can't capture ART_SELECTION_CHANGED event.

New Notebook Graphic Specs for Illustrator GPU Performance

I'm looking at purchasing a notebook for use with Adobe Illustrator. Looking at the specifications, only certain NVIDIA video adapters are listed supporting the new Windows GPU Performance. The notebooks I'm looking at have the NVidia Optimus K1100M 2GB video adapter and the NVidia Optimus 1GB adapter. I take this to mean the Optimus series won't make the cut with GPU performance for Illustrator, correct? Here the spec link: System requirements | Illustrator

I was curious about your experience with CS5 Master Collection, since I purchased the CS4 Master Collection more than a year ago.
I had previously bought the CS3 Master Collection and upgraded. The original CS3 collection was reasonable to work with because there was a Disc for each different program. If you needed to reload a program you could figure it out. When I upgraded to CS4 which was a decent price, I figured what I would get would be comprehensible in the sense that CS3 was. What I received was (I believe 5 discs...I don't have them with me) labeled Content
and Applications. It wasn't long, because of the general 64-bit confusion, that one of the programs (Acrobat Pro) became corrupted. I wasn't sure which disc or discs to load. There are absolutely no instructions or anywhere you can go to find them. Adobe provides nothing for Master Collection
owners, or rather up-graders...try sending an email...good luck. Try calling...to find out how to load a program? By the way when I try to load one of the Content discs, I get a message that says my laptop, with all the bells and whistles, and which originally accepted the Master Collection, cannot load the software, whatever that means. I wrote several emails to Adobe asking for help, I'll even pay for it...no answer. I also subscribe to the Professional Photographers podcast and Adobe is frequently mentioned as having terrible customer service and having over-priced software. I'm seriously thinking of alternatives, but everyone uses Photoshop, which you're probably better off buying by itself. Or, you could wait for another frustrated customer to post his/her complaint to the Adobe Forums. I don't think the Adobe administrators will let this be posted, but please, be forewarned about the terrible customer service.

sorry I wasn't clear - I got it figured out.

New/Updated free plugins for FCE

A couple of new plugins are available for free in my Final Cut Express/Pro Effects and others have been improved in their use of alpha channel, composition methods, and precision in object sizing (both new and updated plugins have a NEW flag in my welcome page).
In addition I added a set of (well so far only 3) plugins I labeled "toolbox": they do not really help in editing, but help in understanding how editing works:
- Channels displays selected color channels (either RGB or YUV) including alpha channel
- +Field Selector+ displays selected fields of each frame (either field 1 or 2 or both... side by side): it turned out to be a very valuable fxscript debugging tool
- +Value Tester+ displays values of selected fxscript variables: quite cryptic for non fxscript programmers...
Among the "standard" plugins a new entry exists: +Make Transparent+. This is quite simple and useful when applied to the masks made available by FCE (e.g. the generators in the Render or the Shapes bin).
+Make Transparent+ simply changes the white areas in the selected mask into transparent areas and black areas into opaque areas (or viceversa). The mask with the Make Transparent filter now may be simply superimposed to the clip... see the examples in my web page.
I hope these are also useful to my friends in this forum.

Nice plugin for Illustrator

Anyone using the Vector Scribe plugin from Astute Graphics yet? Holy crap, I can't believe life's about to get better. I can't believe AI can't already do a lot of this stuff. Corel Draw could do it years and years ago. Might just start enjoying working in AI now.

I too got the Studio version on the basis of what I read in this thread. As far as I can tell (from limited time playing with it), it really going to speed up my workflow, especially when re-drawing logos from the rubbish that's normally provided.
One problem (and fairly significant one) is that the modifier keys (Shift - Control - Alt) work only about 5-10% of the time (when using an Wacom Intuos 4 tablet) or maybe they work once and then stop functioning, if I revert to using the the mouse it works perfectly, the shame is I use the tablet for the majority of the time. I guess something else is intercepting/blocking the commands. I not done any conclusive testing but Vector Studio seems to scewing up my Wacom preferences (the application prefs set for Illustrator in the Wacom Tablet Properties seems to be re-set to default and the Illustrator preferences seems to end up as prefs for all other programs, I'm pretty sure this has never happened before I installed VectorScribe, I've uninstalled the Wacom software completly, re-set the Wacom prefs, reinstalled the latest Wacom software but it screws up all over again.

Anyone know of a Lion-compatible Quicklook plugin for Illustrator CS5 files?

Thanks for this suggestion. I have tried SneakPeek Pro without success. The installer ran, created a plugin and a preference pane, but invoking QuickLook for Illustrator files still showed me just the file icon.
I have also tried the Adoview plugin. Same result.
I can't find good information on troubleshooting either of these plugins; this seems to be a pretty underdeveloped area. That's a surprise.
Any further suggestions (troubleshooting these plugins, hacks, other plugins) are more than welcome. Thanks!

As mentioned, CS 1 and above has one right inside the programme (see Effect menu).
