New HP All in One has slower broadband connection than my previous PC

I've just invested in a new HP AIO i7 Pc model 23-k470na, over the last 2 weeks I have noticed when testing the speed on Speedtest.net that I am only achieving between 87mbps and 95mbps where as with my older HP Elite i7 desktop I'm achieving around 155 to 160mbps
I have checked the Ethernet Satus shows the speed as 100 mbps
The Network adaptor is a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Any suggestions to achieve the broadband speeds I am used to and paying for

Hello @fishyhooky,
I understand that your desktop computer's broadband connection is slower than your previous computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Does the Internet speed increase if you try a new, shorter Ethernet cable? Have you tried updating the firmware on your router? In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on Resolving Broadband Internet connection problems (Windows 8), as well as Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 8). This should help improve the speed of your wireless network connection.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider to examine any issues that may be present on your wireless network.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • My new HP all in one computer was recently connected to our new Photosmart 7510 printer. It worked

I own a one month old HP Omni 220 PC (all in one). The operating system is Windows 7. It is connected to wi-fi network in the home. The Internet portion works fine. And, for about 30 days, it would print to our new wi-fi connected HP Photosmart 7510 just fine. Today, it will not print. Our other computers connected to the network print just fine. So, it's not the printer, or the wi-fi. Can you tell me what might have happened within my PC, and what I need to do to fix the problem? I tried restarting the PC, and the printer but that didn't fix the problem. There have been no recent changes to the software or hardware configurations.
    Thanks,
    Bill

you have to file the music file if you dont itunes cant play a file that does not exist. check the get info and look for the old music file on your old computer. Or do this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4527.

  • IPad2 has slower wireless connection than laptop (netgear router)

I have done numerous speed tests that show my laptop at 5meg and ipad2 always below 1meg. All the similar posts i have read suggest turning off qos on the router but mine doesnt even have that option. Its a netgear 150 and brand new. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me mad!! Thanks

Have you powered off everything and power up again?  Power off printer and router.  Power on router and wait 2 mins.  Power up printer and see if it connects to your SSID.

  • Deskjet F2235 All-In-One has stopped working

    Hi,
My all-in-one has stopped working. I purchased it new at Christmas 2008 and have only printed 2 test pages, but now when I turn it on all the lights on the front panel light-up & my PC says the printer is off-line. I cannot even get it to turn off by the on/off switch... I have to pull the mains plug from the back.
    - I have un-installed & re-installed the software twice without improvement.
    - I have replaced the USB cable without improvement.
My PC is a 2.4GHz Celeron 2 with 512 Mb RAM, XP Home SP3, 80Gb hard drive with 7Gb free.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks in advance.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them; in that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Restart the router and the broadband device, if they're separate. Any change?
Run Software Update and install all available updates for OS X or the computer's firmware. Any change?
If possible, connect to the router with an Ethernet cable and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
Are any other devices on the network, and if so, are they the same?
If you can connect to more than one network, are they all the same?
Are all network applications affected, or only some? If only some, which ones?
Is networking always the same, or is the problem intermittent?
Disconnect all other devices from the network. Any change?
If you're running a MacBook with the lid closed, open the lid. Any difference?
Start up in safe mode and test. Any difference?
Start up in Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. Any difference?
If possible, turn off Bluetooth and disconnect any USB 3 devices. Any difference?

  • Officejet 7310xi All in One Printer no longer connects wirelessly

    Hello all,
My Officejet 7310xi All in One Printer no longer connects wirelessly.
The printer does no show up while searching for it wirelessly where it had previously.
In the past it would say that the printer (HP Series 7300) was offline.  I would remove the device through the control panel and search again.  A printer would be found as HP Series 7300 (Copy 1) . A "ghost" of the original would remain as an offline device.  I would default to the new printer icon, Copy 1, and it would work.  This happened over the course of a year without any problems.
Now nothing is working.  The printer can't be found by my network.  I tried downloading drivers, etc. from HP but they either can't download or stop during installation. I don't know if an Windows 8.1 update affected it.
Although the printer has a built in  network set up option, it has no installation wizard.  I can't find a way to activate the wireless feature/icon.  There is no I.P. address either.
I feel like a monkey pulling levers for a banana!  I appreciate your help.

    Hey @Kathlanta ,
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to ask that question on the HP Forums today!
    I understand you are having issues with your HP Officejet 7310xi connecting and staying on your network. Going through all of this is making you feel much like this;
    By the end of this I want you feeling more like this;
Now let's get to the bottom of this and have some fun doing it! (and no, I have not completely adopted the idea that you are a monkey, but for the time being, seems most fitting LOL )
Ok, so what we are going to start with here is; a full print system uninstall and reinstall and run it through USB to test the printers functionality.
Here is how you uninstall the whole printer software on 8.1 >> Uninstalling The Printer
Here is how you install the drivers offline (use the appropriate links to get your steps) >> Installing HP Printer Software for a USB Connection in Windows 8
You wont need to worry about the wireless right yet until we figure out if the rpinter hardware is ok or not. So sit tight on that portion, I'll get that all back and working later after we figure this stuff out now.
Look forward to hearing back from you! Have a good one!

  • Can I use the HDMI out on a HP ALL IN ONE TOUCHSCREEN Desktop to connect a second monitor with HDMI

Can I use the HDMI out on a HP ALL IN ONE TOUCHSCREEN Desktop to connect a second monitor with HDMI  in without any additional  software or graphics adaptor.  I have a 520-1070
HP - 23" Touch-Screen TouchSmart All-In-One Computer - 8GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive ? I used a HDMI to HDMI cable and the monitor was not  recognized.

Here are the specs for your HP TouchSmart 520-1070 Desktop Computer. As previously stated your computer Doesn't have a HDMI output, instead it has a HDMI input. This is designed to let you connect a game console, a DVD/Bluray player, etc. to use as a monitor.
If you wish to conect a second monitor to your computer, you will need to use a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or EVGA UV Plus+ UV19. Using an adapter like these with the touch feature of your computer may cause issues with pointer control and you may need to disable the touch feature to use "extended desktop".

  • My HP Officejet 6500 E709a All-in-One will not print more than one copy at a time.

My HP Officejet 6500 E709a All-in-One will not print more than one copy at a time.  This is especially disconcerting at Christmas time when you're trying to get Christmas letters in the mail!  Any help?

The cyan portion of the printhead may be clogged.  I would suggest running the diagnostics shown here.  If three levels of cleaning of the printheads does not resolve the issue you may need a new printhead.

  • Good News All-In-One has been updated for CS-6

You can now go to All-In-One website and get the update to their programs so that they will now work in Photoshop CS6.  I was able to get the download last week after talking to the technician and received an e-mail today that the update is available for both 32 and 64 mode.

    Thanks for the news Nancy!

  • My new Touchscreen All in One PC 23 h020a is stuck...

My brand new PC had been working fine for the first couple of days.... Until it appeared to attempt an upgrade of the operating system... There was one brief message flashed in my screen saying the upgrade was not successful and that it was going to restore itself back. Now all I see when trying to re-start is:
    GETTING WINDOWS READY
    DONT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER
The only other thing displayed is the annoying little spinning circle indicating the PC might be doing something.
Unfortunately, this message has been displaying for more than 12 hours now and shows no sign of ever changing. Im hoping to resolve this myself, without needing to pack it all up and return to the store of purchase.
    Any suggestions?

  • A new IMac, old xp pc, Linksys and a new Hp All in one...now what?

Someone please point me in the right direction. I need to share all the functions of the HP all in one, printing and scanning with my new mac and old xp PC. Sharing files will be nice as well. At this point all will be hardwired. I may add a PC notebook wirelessly in the future. The Imac and the pc are hardwired to the router ( Linksys WRT54G Version 2). At this point I can access the internet fine. The printer HP CM1312nfi MFP is still in the box.
What do I do next. My router is out of warrantee and Linksys will not help. Apple care tells me to call Linksys and HP says the same.
I need a simple step by step guide that I can understand. I have been searching the internet for days and I simply give up?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance!
