New hp envy all in one printer shows a blank page after scanning

I just went through this problem with my old printer and hp sent me a refurbished (new) one. I go to scan something into my computer and it won't scan. It shows a blank page on preview. I checked the settings and they all seem to be right. I am not wanting to spend 3 hours with support and another 3 weeks to get a new printer. Can you help me?

Please check the copying function. Is that blank.
If the printer is copying blank there could be something else wrong with the Envy 120
We have had reports of pages being placed upside down.
The Envy 120 scans with the original facing up.

Hp envy 4501 does't print just leaves blank pages

My Hp envy 4501 doesn't print. It just makes printing sounds then the page comes out blank. I just put in a new ink cartage in the slot. Please help. I need to print out my large essay. My model number is SDGOB-1301

I can see by your post here that after installing a new cartridge the printer is producing blank pages. I should be able to provide useful information for locating a fix so you can get printing your essay!
If it is the cartridge causing the problem and you need to get that essay printed and out of the way. The printer works on a single cartridge mode. This means if you remove the problem cartridge then the printer can use one cartridge to print. The black cartridge will print grey scale and the tricolour will mix colors to make black.
Does this blank page only happen when printing from the computer?
The first thing you will want to check when getting a print quality issue is to perform a stand alone copy on the printer. To perform a stand alone copy please follow the link for Copy Text or Mixed Documents. this will let you know if the issue is related to the printer hardware or the computer software.
If the copy IS blank then please follow the document for Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP ENVY 4500 and Deskjet In...
If the document prints WITHOUT quality issues then you are likely looking at a software problem within the computer. If that is the case, for me to provide relevant troubleshooting steps I will need you to provide me with some info on the computer. What operating system your computer is running (ex. Windows or Mac). If you are running Windows please provide the bit version of Windows (ex.Windows 7 32-bit or Windows 7 64-bit.)
If you are running Mac but don't know the version, please follow the link for: Finding the OS X version and build information on your Mac
If you are running Windows but don't know the version, please follow the link for: Which Windows operating system am I running?
If you are unaware the bit-version on your windows operating system, follow the link for: Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

All Web Browsers/Tabs go to blank page after sleep

My MBP is set to go to sleep after 1 hour of no activity, the problem lies when I wake it back up and log back in (corporate network), every browser, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, all display a blank page, Firefox goes offline as part of this process, and when the wifi comes back online, (Telling Firefox to go back online) I have to refresh every browser and every tab to get my content back, very frustrating. Chrome displays a page that says "Unable to connect to the Internet"
Is there another way to fix this?
Why do the browsers have to go blank? Why dont they just sit dormant so I can come back to them?

HP 4500 Envy all in one printer

My printer used to scan documents, no problem. I have the printer up to be wireless. Now it is scanning only a portion, like the logo or the document in several portions. I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I have updated the software from the HP website. Have made sure the settings say scan whole document. It prints and copies fine, just have issues with the scan.

Cannot configurate my new hp c5280 all in one printer

hello
i try to instal my new hp c5280 printer on my ibook g4 with osx 10.4.10 systeem, but the configuration is unsuccesfull. the computer tell me to download a driver from hp. when i do so it still unsuccesfull. the computer asks me once again to download the driver.
looking in systems at printers and faxes the computer doesnot seem to find or know the c5280. the printers box is empty. there no printer according the computer..
can someone help me?

Printer dispenses a blank page after every printing!

Suddenly my printer is dispensing a blank sheet of paper after almost every printing. Oddly, the only thing unusual I've done, relating to the hp printer, is downloading the HP Printer Assistant and the HP Printer and Scan Doctor! I've checked all relative settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary or different.

Another user recently posted what he/she tried to resolve this same issue. Perhaps it might work for you too;
I reset my top and bottom margins and test printed and scanned and it did not put out any blank sheets. - Source
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please try the following;
1. Touch the Windows key on the keyboard to get to the start screen, then without clicking anything type Devices and Printers, and tap or click the Devices and Printers icon.
2. Right click on the printer icon and click on printer properties.
3. Then click on Advance Tab, and click on the Separator Page tab.
4. A small windows open with the location of the file. Delete the path, click ok to save the settings.

All pdf files open as a blank page after updating to 11.0.07.

Ever since I updated to AR 11.0.07 in Windows 7 I get a blank page (empty gray box) when opening any pdf. This happens whether the pdf was on my hard drive or received in email. The files open just fine in other pdf programs and they used to open just fine in prior versions of AR. Please help?

Have you tried to download the files (typically right click on the link) and open them in Acrobat that way, rather than the plugin to the browser. There may also be an issue with the browser. You did not mention the browser you are using, but might try FireFox or such (assuming you are currently using IE).

Connecting All-in-One printer/scanner to Airport Extreme Issue

I just bought a new Epson NX430 all in one printer/scanner. I hooked it up to the aiport extreme. Network printing and AirPrint work flawlessly.
My problem comes when I want to scan. I can't seem to figure out how to allow my desktop to accept scanned images from the Scanner.
What I think I may need to do is keep the printer attached to the airport by the usb as well as by wifi, that way i can still airprint through the airport but scan to my iMac.
Does anyone have a way for me to not have two available printers in my iMac?

Bonjour only allows the print function to work when a multi-function printer is connected to the USB port on the AirPorts.
The bottom line here is that if you need the advanced features like copy, scan, maintenance, etc, the printer cannot be connected to the USB port on the AirPort routers.....since only the print function is supported at the USB port.
If you need full functionality, you have 3 possible options:
Connect the printer directly to USB port on a computer
Connect the printer (if capable) using an Ethernet cable to any LAN Ethernet port on your router or AirPort
Connec the printer (if capable) using wireless

All in one printer won't scan

I just bought my mac and I got an HP photosmart c2480 all in one printer and when I try to scan pictures, it reads "usb not connected" does anyone have any idea what I may need to do. The computer recognizes the printer I am able to print from Word, just can't scan.

Don't know if you got the answer for this yet or not, but if you've upgraded to Leopard, you need to go to the HP website and install some drivers. Here's the link:

Wireless printing problem with HP Envy all-in-one 110 when running Mac OS 10.7

I just bought the HP Envy all-in-one 110. I have a Macbook Air running IS 10.7. I managed to install the software correctly and the wirless network light is showing on the printer. I ran a test page from the printer and all the settings say they are "enabled." But I still can't get the printer to print over the wireless network. When I plugged in a USB cable, I managed to get it to print. I have a wireless router running over the Sonic.net DSL network. Network strength is good. I've switched off and restarted all equipment several times but still no results. Help!

I believe the router may not support Multicasting, a network protocol used for Apple's Bonjour service to operate as it should.
Will be helpful to know the exact router brand and model.
As a workaroung, you may try setting the printer by using standard IP, it should allow you to print, however the router issue (more likely) have to be handled first to allow the full software functionality including scanning.
Follow the steps below to set an IP print queue, it will also help to better understand the cause for the problem:
Enter System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Click the plus sign.
Click the IP icon.
Select the HP Jetdirect Socket protocol.
Enter the printer IP address into the Address field
Now try printing using the newly created print queue, listed as the printer IP address.

Installed a new harddrive in my macbook pro. cannot connect to hp photosmart all in one printer!!

I, recently, installed a new hard drive on my MacBook Pro Laptop Computer (2007 model).

When you received your printer you should have received two insulation disks one is for Windows computers and the other one is for Mac ( Apple Computer) If you have the disks please install Mac disk. Apple computers do search and down load the parcel software so you can do basic printing commands. You need to find the program that is some where in your computer that allows you to hook up Pinters and Devices. Ounce you find this open it up then connect the printer cable to the lap top. The computer program will list HP's printers yuo need to select your printers model number. Then it will down load the drivers for it to run basic commands. Ounce they are download run a test to make sure it is working right. Contact HP's store and asked them to send you a new set of insulation disk. Your old disk may have fine dust film on them. Clean them off pior to inserting them If you use glass cleaner and fine cloth make sure they are dry off before you insert them. If you used them before maybe a speck of dirt blocked out parcel program that caused it not to install correctly . frrw

As I don't print in color much but had need to I discovered my printer not printing in color. I trouble shooted and even replaced with an new HP95 new from Office Depot ( I never buy refilled). The printer still won't print color but it advances the paper as if it was printing - just no ink on paper. I have cleaned thoroughly the ink jet heads, cartridge area, and run all the alignment and printer utilities. The test page print does not show color either. I have no error messages. Don't know what else to do.

I can see your having a print quality issue with your HP OfficeJet 6310. I should be able to provide documentation that will help locate a resolution. You mentioned you have already tried another HP95 tri-color cartridge with no resolution. I also noticed you said that the quality report from the printer also has no color ink.
If a stand alone test report is performed from the front of the printer such a printhead cleaning or print quality report and there is no color on the page then you are likely looking at a hardware issue within the printer. I have provided a document regarding Missing, Faded, or Dull Colors on the HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer. If you follow the document from start to finish and still have the same issue then I would recommend contacting our HP tech support via phone. They deal with hardware warranty and replacement options.
