New HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw network connection impacts DNS server of my ISP

Hi,
i am not well with english, so please sorry
I have deliverd new HP LaserJet Pro M127fw to my client who have 3 PC-s Win7 64bit, one 4 port switch, and one TP-link ISDN modem-router.
I have installed the printer over network and everything is done well. Printer is working in printing/scanning/fax/ and copy.
In few hurs local ISP has called and said that his DNS server is impacted by something from local LAN. After investigating, i have fount that printer is doing impact to DNS of ISP. When i remove LAN cable from printer, everything is fine with network
I have installed new frimware from HP.com. also I have change Admin pass. The new up to date software is installed.
Still have problem, and no solution. For now printer is working with USB connection, but that is not a option.
HP please help!

Hi @ITMračunari ,
I see that you are having issues with the printer connected by a Ethernet cable to the network, the printer is impacting the DNS of ISP. I would like to help.
Turn the IPv6 off on the printer to see if that will help.
Go to Setup, Network Setup, Network Services, IPv6 and turn it off.
This is a Consumer product and has been proving to work with a direct connection to a router.
I noticed in your post that you are also using a switch, which could possible cause other conflicts.
Hope this helps.
Have a nice day!
Thank You.

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw - error message to install new cartridge
After printing a ream of paper, we got an error message to install a new toner cartridge.  We couldn't overwrite it and continue to print.  Installed a new HP toner cartridge and still get the same error message to install a new cartridge.  I've done a hard reset already with no change.  Will take any help I can get.  This is the first toner cartridge change for this printer.

    Hi @kdaniels79 ,
I see that you are experiencing issues with the toner not being recognised. I will certainly do my best to help you.
I have provided a document with steps for replacing the toner. Make sure all the orange packing material is removed and the sealing tape. Make sure a piece of paper didn't slide in part way from the paper tray, blocking any sensors.
    Replace the Toner Cartridge.
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?

    Hi @Lize2 ,
I see that you are having issues installing the printer, the installer stops working. Thanks for providing that detailed information. I would like to help you out today.
It sounds like something is blocking the software from installing, since just the driver are being installed.
Disconnect the USB cable, run the uninstall from the CD.
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Do a msconfig to turn off any startup programs that might be interfering with the installation.
Click on Start, in the search box type in Run, enter, then type in Msconfig, click OK.
Click the Services tab. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box. Click Disable All, and then click OK.
Then click on the Start Up tab at the top. Click on disable all.
    Reboot the computer.
Temporarily turn off any Antivirus software and Real Time Scanning. Especially if you are using Mcafee.
Then run the installation again. Right click on the install and select Run as Administrator.
    Test the printer again.
Then go back into msconfig and Enable the All Microsoft Services and Enable All on the Start Up tab. Turn the Antivirus software back on again and the Real Time Scanning.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw ePrint failures

We bought this printer several months ago.  My boss wanted a printer that could be printed to remotely.  I advised him to get one of the many Google Cloud Print ready printers out on the market, but the salesman at where ever he purchased this printer, told him the LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw was Google Cloud Print ready and that it also offered this amazing feature called HP ePrint.  The salesman was only half wrong.  Technically any printer is google cloud ready (at least in this braindead of a salesman's standards), as you just need to have it connected to a PC.  However, any notion that this printer is an ePrint printer is an outright lie.
So that I don't get bombarded with the normal responses from the "HP Experts," let me list all of the steps I've done:
First, few days I dealt with customer support.  Yes, dealt, as they were rude and ultimately had no information.  Even after the ticket got "escalated," the advanced tech support still had little to add.  I followed all of the steps for troubleshooting on the support pages as well as the forums.  I've changed to static ip's, google dns servers, power cycled all the devices, did a full printer system restore to bring it back to "out of the box" shape in terms of settings/firmware, tried wired/wireless/usb connections, changed routers, opened ports, disabled and reenabled web services, tried all of the above through the browser with direct ip settings prompts, updated firmware, and I'm sure countless other steps that I honestly don't even want to remember.
I was told the web services e-mail given contains the claim code needed for www.hpconnected.com.  When inserting it as required when adding a device, you'll get Unexpected Error unless it's feeling frisky, and then it gives the Invalid Claim Code prompt.  Let's not forget that when I originally signed up, it was hpeprint.com, and when signing in, they took you on the wonderful whirlwind of a redirects from it to hpconnected and back, never getting past the sign in process.
Eventually, I put this printer far far away from me.  Flash forward several months, and I've done all of the above and then some on top of updating to the latest firmware (which I had hoped would solve this issue finally).  Nothing.
When enabling web services, no information page is printed.  When trying to manually do so, we just sit and spin on the Connecting... screen on the LCD.  If I try to do anything related to the web services features, I get the same result, except in the lovely times it changes to Unable to connect to server.. etc.
Outside of the ePrint issues, this device is really nice.  But it is in no shape or form, an ePrint printer.  Fact is, if I wanted this printer without the ePrint functions, I could have saved money I'm sure.
While searching today for possible new solutions on the forums, I see the following thread:
Eprint on HP LaserJet Pro M127fw
An "HP Expert" advises this kid to use google cloud print, which although comical, is enraging.  This device has, and still is, being marketed as an HP ePrint featured printer.  You can see on the official HP website it's listed:
    HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw
or see the picture below. But as this other HP webpage shows, this printer is not listed as having these features:
    HP Web-Connected Printers
If anyone has any useful advice, or can get me in touch with the Experts of all "HP Experts," I would love you to my dying breath.  But more than anything, I really just want to know if this printer has, or ever will, have these features available. Because having it promoted on the boxes, in stores, on the websites, even having the LCD show settings for these features is nothing less than infuriating.

    Hi sunrotor,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you have had some issues with setting up the ePrint feature of your Laserjet Pro MFP M127fw printer.
Thank you for the very detailed post of things that you have tried. I had a customer who was able to connect with the ePrint servers when using a Level 3 Communications DNS server when trying to connect with their Laserjet Pro M125nw printer. I have included About.com’s list of Free & Public DNS Servers which the Level3 is the first one listed. Please try setting a manual IP address and manual DNS server for the printer using the Level3 servers instead of the public Google DNS servers.
I have also included a post by @VisionAiry that lists all the Incoming and Outgoing Printer Ports. Please ensure that the ports are available for using ePrint.
Please let me know how it goes.

I just bought a new LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw and was trying to upgrade the firmware to the latest one posted on the support website of HP and the error I keep gettin is HP Device Update cannot proceed. Below is a screenshot
Everything is plugged in and I don't have any errors on the printer. Please help.

    Hi @EddieTr ,
I see you're experiencing issues updating the printer's firmware. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
    Power cycle the printer.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Print a Configuration Report to see which firmware version you have now. The latest Version is 20140129.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
Connect the USB cable from the printer directly to the computer and run the firmware update again, if your version is older. (don't use a USB hub or Dock)
Be sure to select the newly created print queue for the USB connection while using the tool.

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw will not print anything except its own config

Just purchased a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw.  I cannot manage to get it to print using any type of connection to the printer.
I can connect to the printer from my Ubuntu PC and my Android phone, but when I attempt to print, the job just hangs, never erroring, but never completing.  I have attempted printing from various applications, including a test page from the HPLIP tools, but the jobs reports "processing".
When I attempt to print an information sheet from the printer's front panel, it asks me to confirm, but then nothing happens.
I can connect to the printer's web server, but clicking on the print info button there does nothing.
I have successfully connected with HP's ePrint service using the printer's reported email address, but the service reports "problem with printer".
I don't know what else to try here.
    This question was solved.

    Hi richRemer,
I see that you are having issues printing from the computer and the Android phone.
I will be happy to help you.
Power cycle the computer and the router.
I would do a power reset on the printer. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
Print a hardware self test. Find out what the IP address is.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
I have provided you with the Driver Support for Linux OS.

  • Can't receive fax LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw

While I can send faxes on my LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw, I can't receive them.  I've downloaded the newest software & drivers, and the LaserJet Firmware Update utility, and run the fax test, with the report indicating it passed.

    Hello @V122,
I'm sorry to hear that the reset made no difference.
Because your fax machine will manually answer faxes we know that the fax modem in your printer is functioning properly. In saying that, I did a bit more research into the Fios phone line that you're using and I do believe that your issue lies with your digital fiber-optic phone line.
Faxing is old analog technology. Nowadays many phone providers offer digital phone lines (like your Fios line). These digital phone lines should work OK with your fax machine. However, there is a lot more static noise and interference on those digital phone lines that cause fax receiving issues. Because your fax can manually answer we know, as I previously stated, that the fax modem is functioning. However, the fax signal isn't strong enough (probably due to digital interference) to prompt your machine to wake up and automatically answer the fax. Simply stated, your machine does not detect a fax coming through.
According the the User Guide for your printer: "HP products are designed specifically for use with analog phone services."  Source: User Guide: Page 110 (120-128)
Because Fios operates like Voip (Digital internet based phone line) we could try to lower your Fax Speed to Slow on your printer to give your fax machine more time to 'listen' and 'connect' as the digital signals transfer much faster than analog signals.
    How to Lower Fax Speed:
Select the Setup button on your printer
    Right arrow to Fax Setup
Right arrow to Advanced Fax Setup
Select Fax Speed and alter this to Slow
Once the Fax Speed has been changed to slow, please try to receive a fax automatically again to see how your printer responds.
Please let me know if the Fax Speed adjustment resolves your issue. Good luck!

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw, Can't Enable Web Printing

I have tried using the machine to enable web printing as well as using the computer and typing in ip address.  No matter which way I go I cannot enable web printing on my laserjet pro mfp m127fw.  I am connected to the net.  Can access the internet on other devices.  So there should be no issues there.  Is something wrong with the machine or is there something I can try?  Of course we are NOW ready to start using this feature after having the machine for a while so I hope there is not something wrong with the machine.

    Hi @mdandy,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are getting a connection error message when trying to enable the web services for your Laserjet M127fw printer.
Please ensure the printer is up-to-date with its firmware. If you are unsure how to check I have included the Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates document to assist you.
Once you are up-to-date with the firmware, please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found in the Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection document. For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw will not go to sleep

I just bought a LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw. Through the LCD Control Panel I set it up to go to sleep after 5 minutes. It will not go to sleep, the LCD panel is always on.  I did the following from the LCD panel: Setup Menu >>System Setup >> Energy Settings >> Sleep/Auto Off after >> 5 Minutes Printer is connected via wireless. I'm using this printer on a Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and have installed the latest driver software from HP Support website. Anyone has noticed this problem and is there a solution to it?  Thanks.

Hi tuanomsoc, I hope you had a good weekend!
The printer has a built-in surge protector, so by plugging into a surge protector or a power bar, it can cause power drains that affect the functionality.  I would recommend the post below by , who has provided a helpful write-up on this exact question: Power Supply Related Issues Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw Scanner Jam - 2 printers now

I purchased a LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw earlier this year (February timeframe).  Within a couple of months, the scanner feeder was pretty much always jamming at the second page. It eventually got to the point where it would jam at the first page. Prior to this, I had had no problems.
Because he expressed interest in it, I gave that printer to a friend.  In April, I purchased the same brand of printer from the same store.  All was well until several days ago when the scanner feeder started to jam on this printer - initially when the third page was being fed, and now the printer is doing it at the second page.
Both printers are connect via USB. My laptop is running Windows 8.1.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the drivers/software.  I've attempted to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor but it repeatedly gets hung up and I have to close it from the Task Manager.
I called the store from which I bought the two printers and they suggested it might be a manufacturer defect.
Thoughts as to what may be happening?

    Hello BFB101,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand two Laserjet MFP M127fw that you bought, receive a paper jam in the automatic document feeder. I will do my best to assist you! Please make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector. I just want to see if this makes a difference.
I would follow this HP document on 'Original Jam: Clear jam, and then press OK' Message Displays on the All-in-One. Make sure there is no paper within the automatic document feeder since you keep experiencing this problem.
Try performing a hard reset on your printer for more than 60 seconds. Leave the printer turned on> Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
The last step you can try is updating the Firmware on your printer. I will provide the HP website where this download is located here. Please choose your correct operating system.
If you're experiencing the same problem, then you will have to contact HP technical support for further assistance. Click here to find out: HP Worldwide Contact.

    Ok....having a real issue:
I am a tech trying to install this printer on a Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop (Dell Inspiron), 64 bit.
    1) The printer is connected to the local home network...no problems
    2) Via the IP address of the printer, I can access the web interface of the printer from the laptop...no problems
    3) When installing it as EITHER a network printer OR as a USB printer from disk, it installs and sees the network printer, but when I go to print a test page, it shows up briefly in the queue, then goes away as if printing, but does not print. Same thing happens if I install it via usb.
    4) I have scanned for viruses (including root kit), and found nothing. I have disabled antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials) and no other antivirus is running
    5) I have disabled Windows Firewall (both private and public)
    6) I have downloaded the correct driver from HP site and used (thinking the install disc is the problem)
    7) I have uninstalled any and all HP printers previously installed....includingthe laserjet pro mfp m127w (several times)
    8) I enabled the admin account, and tried to install via this user
    9) I have checked wireless network settings and made sure that only the wireless adapter is enabled
    10) I have deleted the wireless network, and reconnected
    11) I brought in my Windows 7 laptop, and was able to install the printer with no problem, so I know it is a pc specific issue
    12) User is able to surf the internet just fine....don't think it is a tcp/ip corruption issue
    13) I have tried to connect it directly using the printers IP address
    13) I am of the opinion that it MIGHT be some other software interferring, but **bleep** if I can figure it out.
I am stumped. Any help out there?

  • Trouble initializing color laserjet Pro MFP M177fw wireless connection

color laserjet Pro MFP M177fw - Printer was working for several months, now it will not print and when you power cycle it just shows initializing... but never finishes.  Using wireless network connection to a Windows 7 pc.

    Hello,
I have provided the URL for doing a firmware update on the printer, but do it through a USB connection. Since the printer is in a error state though, it might not detect the printer to do the update. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw.
Select your operating system, click  Submit, click the link for firmware and then click on the Download button.
I have provided some steps to try to see if we can resolve this issue.
Disconnect the USB/Network/FAX and power the printer on Standalone.
Check and remove any packaging material inside the printer and toner.
Do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue, if you haven't already.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
If the issue persists, perform a power drain by disconnecting the power cord from the back of the printer and keeping the power button pressed for 30 seconds and in case of a power switch keep the switch in ON position for 30 seconds before reconnecting the power chord.
I can send a private message with some another step to try.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What operating system are you using?
