New Hub5A won't update firmware
I bought a Hub 5A from the BT Shop a couple of weeks ago but it has come with firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6. It's been in use for about 10 days now but hasn't updated to the latest, 4.7.5.1.83.8.204. I've restarted it a couple of times but that hasn't helped. It seems to be phoning home (I think) to check - event logs below from the last power off/on.
How can I get it to upgrade to the latest version?

there are other posts similar to yours where the hh5a has not updated it's firmware

Airport Express won't update firmware
My Airport Express can't seem to complete a firmware update. During the installation process, an error message pops up that reads "An error occurred while updating the firmware. -6753." Any suggestions for how to get past this error?
I simply would not accept a 4 year old device as new. You may feel otherwise.
A guess, based on the info in your post, would be that you might have a defective unit, new or not.
Suggest that you try a Factory Default Reset a few more times. If things won't "take" after a few tries, it is pretty clear that the Express is not working correctly.

I have problems with the firmware update on my E7 (E7-00 RM-626 PR1.1 v014.002).
When I use the Ovi Suite (3.1.1.85 on a Windows 7 32 bit PC) to update, it all starts
fine. It shows that there is a new VERSION 022.014 REQUIRED for my phone.
I then select “Install” and I sign in. The backup seems to work fine. And then the
firmware update starts, “Installing device software…” but after 10 - 15 seconds
the phone turns off, and the text: “Device recovery Nokia Ovi Suite has lost its
connection with your device….” appears.
When I restart the phone it works just fine (luckily) – but still runs the old
firmware.
When I try to use the Nokia Software Updater (v2.6.6dk on a Windows 7 32 bit PC) it does the
same thing. It detects my phone just fine – but it takes a while, and shows that there is a new
version. But when I try to install it, it stops after about 20 seconds. The phone goes black, and the software updater writes that the connection has been lost….
What to do?

So you what apps etc you do have installed.
many people found the apps where the issues.
have you got any games installed such as angry birds or fruit ninja if you do unistalled them.
I would suggest doing the full reset, then install nokia sleeping screen only. and then try the update.
There are 3 ways you can do the update, nokia suite, OTA, or NSU
Everybody i know including myself with our E7's had no further issues after that.
Just remember you dont want anything installed except nokia sleeping screen.
Nokia suite will also from time to time tell you the phone has been disconnected etc in the bottom right corner, just ignore this, the screen will go black as well.Also the phone will restart all by itself, just leave it all alone. Let the software do what it has to. Hope this help everybody here -
Update - Help - Brand New ipod - won't update with software
IPod will not update with cd-rom it came with - this is the first - initial - brand new install of ipod

please help meHi I had the same problem with my last ipod. i tried all of the steps on the apple support site but none of them worked. I decided to send my ipod in for a repair. Anyway when a week later my ipod came back it was fixed but when i loaded up the computer the disk locked again. I followed through the instructions which said to download the newest software. So i downloaded the new software again and this still didnt work. The last thing i tried to do was to use an old version of an updater so i used (ipod updater 2004-11-15) this ran through the restore process and after completing this, the menu on the ipod loaded up. I then connected to itunes and it allowed it to communicate and transfer the songs

I just purchased my new iMac and im trying to update my pre-installed iphoto and other apps. You open the app store and it says updates are available but when you try to update them it says "you must sign in to the account you used to purchase these apps". The problem is, if I uninstall these apps it will make me purchase them to update the apps. I just want to update the application that I was told is included in my purchase of my new iMac.
Any thoughts?

So now I have two copies of muse on my laptop. I opened the new copy (CC 2014) and made my changes. I clicked update through FTP host. It added one new window (folder) and had no idea what to put there. Published my update modifying existing files, and it reuploaded every photo on my site. Changes were not on the website when I checked. So I redid using upload all files. Nothing (though it reuploaded all images yet again). I tried to edit in browser and it told me my sit was published through the old software and to update. I went back and clicked publish. Then upload through ftp again. No updates will go through and I can't update through browser. What am I doing wrong? Im going crazy. Im not a web guy but need my updates to publish. PLEASE HELP!!!
It sounds like you've uploaded to the wrong folder on your server. Thus the files are there, but they didn't overwrite the prior version and aren't in the correct place to be seen in your browser.
The "Folder" field is the same as the "Host Directory" field in prior versions of Muse. Every hosting provider configures their servers differently, but typical values for "Folder" would be blank, "www", "public_html", or "htdocs". Most hosting providers will have information in their documentation for what folder/directory your website files need to be placed in. -
New iPhone won't update new songs from library
i recently purchased an iphone 5s and now it won't sync and update changes to playlists or newly purchased songs from my macbook. i have synced the phone repeatedly. i have synced the phone through the cloud . but because of the cloud i can no longer manually control the music from on the phone . does anyone have any advice.. thanks

Windows Address Book is what Outlook Express uses for contacts. If you put everything into Outlook 2003, then you will want to change the pull-down menu from Windows Address Book to Outlook.

I have a grren light on TC but the firmware update fails because I'm not connected to the net. I have the ethernet cable from my Charter cable modem connected to TC and trying to connect automatically but it's not working. Can anyone help?
Have you performed a full modem reset on your device and network power cycle?
If not, please try the following:
Push the reset button on the modem and then power it off
Pull the battery if its easily accessible
Power down everything else on your network
Wait at least 15 minutes, 30 would be better, 60 even better.
Power up the modem first and let it run by itself for a few moments
Start the next device connected to the modem, probably your Time Capsule, the same way
Start each device the same way until all network devices are back up
If your modem is functioning corrrectly, and you have the TC configured correctly, you will be connected to the Internet. -
My 'the new iPad' won't update to iOS 6!
My iPad 3 (the new iPad) can't find the update to iOS 6! I know iOS 6 has already been released as my iPhone 4S is currently running n iOS 6, but whenever I run software update on my iPad, all it says is 'iOS 5.1.1, your software is up to date.' any suggestions to this problem?

While trying to set-up Playbook for the first time I'm getting to the part where you have to update the OS.
It keeps saying 'Unable to Install"
I read I should try updating via desktop manager. When I connect to computer I get the following...

I recently purchased an iPod with video to replace my mini. I registered my iPod video on itunes and it shows up on the device list. However, when I connect it to my computer the "Do not disconnect" keeps flashing and itunes bar says that it is updated. I have the most current version of itunes, have restarted my computer, restarted my ipod, I have even tried to restore. I have had it plugged in for 45 minutes now and the "Do not disconnect" will not go away! I have tried everything I could think of. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Strange iPod behaviour.
As to the "do not disconnect" message.
If you have your iPod set to automatically sync with iTunes version 7 or later, connect the iPod and when you see the summary screen, uncheck the box marked "enable disk use".
If you are using an earlier version of iTunes, right click on the iPod in the source list, select options and uncheck the same box.
In future your iPod should automatically disconnect after it’s finished transferring music.

Apple TV New software won't update
I have the newest update available. But it sits for a while and then tells me the update was unsuccessful and to try later. I am having the same problem trying to update a Iphone 4S from a Macbook. Are there issues with the servers. I was able to update my Iphone 4 from a windows computer.

Specifically, when I try to transfer songs from iTunes to my iPod I get the following error message: "Songs in the iPod "My iPod" cannot be updated because all the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist". I did some searching around at this site, and found that one possible problem is that my library is larger than my iPod's capacity, so I have to eliminate some songs. I did this, but I still get the same error message.

Muse, website won't update changes.
I''m using Muse to make a portfolio website by hosting with godaddy, uploading to FTP host and until now its been working very well. My Muse updated the other day and since then I have been unable to make changes to my website. I have even cleared my hosting folder and tried re-uploading the entire site multiple times. I have posted two images to show you what the website is currently looking like in the browser, and a screenshot of Muse and what is it now supposed to be looking like. The main difference is I have added another project to my page and actually activated the "soudspaceLA" links and moved it around.
