if you are missing items that should be available in the SAP system you may copy those from client 000.
Uploading new icons seems to be no RE-FX specific issue. Maybe you address this topic in a technical forum.

I think you must mean the Dock (at the bottom of the screen typically). You should be able to simply drag them from the Applications Folder to the Dock- same as anything else.
I don't think they can be put in the Toolbar (which is on top of the screen).

I've made a new icon for a folder, using icon composer. But when I add it to the folder in the icon spot, it changes instead to the generic picture icon with "icns" on it. How do I make sure the picture actually changes to what I want?

So I took a picture of a generic mac osx snow leopard folder (png), layered a picture of a movie reel onto it (png) using the application Gimp, then saved this complete picture as a png. I then took this picture and dragged it into Icon Composer & from there saved the new icon as an icns file. Next, I selected this new icns file, copied it, went into the "Get Info" part for the folder I want, clicked on the little icon in the top left corner, and selected Paste in the Edit menu. The icon did change, but it changed to the generic Preview icon with the letters "icns" across the bottom. Why isn't it changing to the actual picture I made? And how can I fix this or make sure I do get the result I want?
FYI: I have done this EXACT SAME process with other icons I've created, and in the past it has worked fine and changed the icon to the picture that I made. But today it's done this twice, with two different pictures/icons and in different folders.

Did you open the image in Preview? Then make sure you are actually selecting and copying the open image? You can check by going to Finder->Edit->Show Clipboard to see if the image is actually on the Clipboard. Now do GetInfo on the folder you want to have the image, select the wee little icon at the top (make sure it really is selected, the faint blue halo is hard to see) and then Paste. You MUST have permissions to write to the folder! Otherwise nothing will happen. Does the "Sharing and Permissions" section of the GetInfo window, down at the bottom, show your shortname as owner, with Read & Write permission?

Does Lion OS come with new icons for applications?

I accidentally deleted the default icons for System Preferences and some other apps on my Macbook Pro and was going to reinstall Leopard to get the default icons back. After they announced Lion OS, I wonder, would installing Lion come with new default icons?

You must be running Snow Leopard in order to install Lion regardless of the icon issue.

You can reinstall Leopard without erasing the startup disk but as with any installation, backup all important files first.

Creating New ICONS for Express

I have tried to work with creating user icons in express. I have tried to follow the manual to the letter. The trouble is, the manual is saying things that I don't seem to have in my program. I.E> On page 94, it talks about how and where to store icon files. The manual tells me to go to library/application support/Logic/Logic Resources/icons. The trouble is, I don't have a folder that says Logic Resources. I even checked with a guy at the MAC store in Indianapolis, and he looked in his copies of both Logic Express and Logic PRO. He couldn't find a folder that said /Logic Resources either.
I think the icons in Logic are pretty boo-boo and I would like to create some of my own. But when the manual is misleading, it's pretty hard.
Has anyone ever created a user icon for Logic Express and if so, what did you have to do to do it?

This AM I found that Firefox was longer pinned to the taskbar, found lots of files, got new icon for exe pinned, but none of my bookmarks are there.

Was also seeing little Chinese or Korean characters next to tabs, so I'm thinking previous download was hacked? Never found anything missing before though, so I figured that was just an anomaly.
Anyway, I'm hoping that I can use some of the files that are still hanging around (files I can't open) and thinking they probably have all of my settings stowed away in there - like I see one labeled "cookiejar" and plenty of others that only the program can read.
Please let me know if I need to start from scratch.

Cut/Paste new icon for startup HD?

I've been used to putting my own icons on my HD thru the usual "command-I" "copy/paste" functions but in SL it seems that I cannot. Anyone have any clues? I've tried to unlock the HD in the Get Info window but no luck. It ain't important but just curious....cheers, sam

Icons for both Logic 9.2.0. and 9.1.1.

When I upgraded to Logic Pro 9.2.0., it created a new icon for 9.2.0., as opposed to updating the previous version of Logic. This left me with two Logic Pro icons. Now that I have upgraded to 9.1.1., my original Logic Pro is updated, and the Logic Pro 9.2.0. is still there.
I assume I should just delete the 9.2.0., but why is the installer creating new icons.
Does the 9.1.1. update include everything in 9.2.0.?

Try emptying the Safari cache more often. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that doesn't help, try resetting. From the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.
BTW... it would help to tell us which Mac OS X you have installed and in this case, which version of Safari.

How can I create an icon for "New Tab" (not "new window") on the toolbar?

I want to have an icon for New Tab on the toolbar. I cannot find such icon on the Customize option.
Is this possible?
BTW I tried to check options-->tabs-->open new windows in a new tab instead, but this does not help and when clicking the "new Window" icon on the toolbar, indeed a new window - and not a new tab - opens.

You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab (+) button form the tab bar on another toolbar. It will become a regular New Tab toolbar button.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone, and after the download was done and trying to install, it errored out. And now my phone is stuck on the screen with the itunes icon and the USB.

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone4 on my laptop through Itunes. After the download was done, it was starting to install, and then an error came up and didnt get a chance to check it. Now my Iphone is stuck on the screen with the USB pointing to the Itunes Icon and wont do anything else. Any advice on how to get this fixed, or do i need to go to the Apple store and have them look at it.
