New imac not synching with apple tv

I just bought a new imac and i'm connected to my wireless internet and so is my apple tv, however the two are not synching. Help please!!!

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

New Folders Not Synching with Apple TV

I use my Apple TV for viewing my photographs. I don't sync using iPhoto but instead have selected a "Photography" folder on an internal hard drive. I have many sub-folders under the "Photography" master folder. Each sub-folder shows up in a list in iTunes. Now I have sync "All Photos" selected for this master library and you can see the complete list of sub- folders in iTunes list. This seems to match the folders on the Apple TV. However I recently added some new folders and they are not showing up in this list in iTunes and therefore are not available to sync with the Apple TV. I did notice however that they do seem to 'stream' to the Apple TV when the computer is on and iTunes is running.
Why are these new folders not being seen in the iTunes list? I did delete some sub-folders and these were removed from the iTunes list.

Note I have a 160Gb Apple TV recently upgraded to 2.3 with about 700mg free.

Purchased songs on new computer not synching with IPOD

My old computer crashed. I bought a new one and reinstalled my IPOD on to my new computer along with 2 other IPODS. I bought 2 songs that are in my purchased folder and will play but will not sync to my IPOD. I tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my computer. But no luck. FYG: All 3 IPODS are under different names on the same computer.. What am I doing wrong ? Thank you

I tried one of the other IPODS under a diffent acct and it says that 100 songs could not be synced because they could not be found but the songs are on the IPOD

Tv purchased in iTunes not synch with apple tv

I have purchased the currently on television Downton Abbey series. Each Sunday night a new episode becomes available for download. I have three waiting for me. Apple TV "tells me" that I have nothing purchased/available. How do I fix that?

One thing I find in this business is nothing is instantaneous. If my AirPlay show doesn't show up, I immediately check to see if my wifi connection is showing in iTunes. For a semi-stupid reason, I have 2 networks in my house and occasionally I find my ATV2 on one and my computer/iPad/iPhone on the other. However, when that happens, I don't believe AirPlay even shows up on the "sending" device.

IMac synch with Apple TV

I have an Apple TV with hard drive. Every time my iMac & iTunes synch with my Apple TV ( ATV ), it takes anything I have purchased from my ATV to the Mac and then "copies" it BACK to the ATV. However, when I try to play any content, it either tells me that I cannon play it because the "the selected video/content cannot play on your Apple TV" or is says "the selected video cannot be found"!
Has anyone else run into this issue? I have purchased music videos, TV programs, music & movies via my ATV but every time I try to synch it does this completely ludicrous "removing" from my ATV to the iMac and back only to never allow me to play anything once this happens. Then I have to do a download all over again to my Apple TV. Worse still, I have been getting charged time and again for content I purchased already!

Thank you for your response. I did disable the auto synch however, whenever I want to put new music on my apple tv ( I purchase new music cd's every month ) I must synch it. Even if I disable the synch it tells my apple TV to not allow me to use purchased content on my apple TV when I turn this off, so I must allow it. And I have the old style apple TV to keep my content on because I have lost 2 hard drives in the past with all my music so I keep it on both of my devices. This trouble only started about 15 months ago when apple "updated" iTunes and has been like this ever since.
Also, since this ATV does not connect to the cloud even with the new software updates so it is impossible to download it from or to my Apple TV. I am therefore required to use the apple store for content redownload. This trouble has convinced me that I should have never purchased content in this fashion but to stick with buying and owning my own DVD's/Blueray & music cd's. Thank you again.

iTunes will only transfer music from the iPhone that were bought at Apple's iTunes store. You'll need to use a third party program such as Senuti to transfer music you got from other sources.

My Apple TV (1st Gen) will not synch with iTunes on my Laptop

I've been trying to do this for a while, it shouldn't be too difficult i think.
All i want to do is synch all the content on my laptop with my Apple TV (and vice versa) so all the content including photos and home videos is the same on both my Apple TV and my laptop.
Some points:
There's enough hard drive space on both
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate on my laptop
The correct port exceptions have been added to Windows Firewall
I have purchases on both my laptop and Apple TV from the iTunes store
We're using a wireless network and it while it's possible to get them both cable wired, it would be a pain
Home networking is set up in iTunes on my laptop
I've set up my Apple TV to synch (not stream) with my account on my laptop
Both iTunes and Apple TV are up to date with their downloads
I think that's it - am i missing anything, or should this now just work?

Thanks for the reply. I tried playing with detaching the audio in iMovie, but with 20+ hours of video to correct, it would take too long. After 28 hours, Corel/Roxio tech support replied that it is a known bitrate mismatch problem and they have no real fix. I strongly suggest not to buy this product.

Purchased new apps on ipad. Purchases did not synch with iphone 4. Purchases are listed in my itunes account and on my ipad, however, they are mot listed as purchased on iphone 4s. this is a new problem. I did not have any probelms in the past wit apps synching with iphone 4.

It does, but I use the SoundNote App because it records audio and allows me to draw diagrams in the document. Any thoughts on syncing the SoundNote files to the mini? I am sure it can be done with a wire, but I have a disability which makes it difficult to plug and unplug cords, so the more I can do wirelessly or through the Cloud the better. Thanks for your help! Suddenly my iPhone 4 (ios4.3.4) will not synch with my iMac (OS 10.6.8). What can be the problem? The iPhone and the iMac seem to work fine in all other was and the iphone gives off its usual sound when plugged into the computer.

iPhoto opens but not iTunes and no synching noted either on iMac or iPhone and after a few seconds iPhone screen goes black. I turned off and restarted. i was able to connect and synced songs yesterday.
but when i tried it again today. i cant connect again.
i tried to disconnect and reconnect million times and i even dropped
my iPOD and now it has some scratch and i hate it.
