New infraestructure for ECC 6.0

Hello,
We are going to migrate to ECC 6.0 version and we are just configurating the new infraestructure. In Our company we are 470 users and we are not sure if we need frontend servers and another DB and application server or only DB+aplication server.
Someone can help me?

I guess you should try to run the sizer provided by SAP.

This should give you some more clues and pointers on the sizing aspect for the required upgrade.

Good morning all. We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. When testing the inbound idocs for Purchase Orders, I am getting en error on the DOCREL field. It says that the value 46C is invalid. Space required will be around 50-80 GB only. Initially you will need more space because it will ask you to create some new containers. But after upgrade you can delete old containers that will be empty and can release some space. Same has been there in post-installation steps of EHP5 upgrade guide.

New tcodes in ECC 6.0 for obsolete tcodes in 4.6C

We are doing security upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
There are some tcodes have been deleted in ECC 6.0, but I don't which new tcodes will replace them.
I am looking for the new tcodes in ECC 6.0 for list of tcodes in 4.6C (below) which have been deleted in ECC 6.0:
AL02, AL08, AL10, AL18, AL21, AL22, CN90, CN92, CN94, KSRP, SAPSAP_IA,
SB02, SO80, ST08, S_P9C_18000155, S_P9C_18000155
Note: i verify the table PRGN_CORR2 in ECC 6.0, and the list provides from OSS note 991377, however both of them not include those tcodes I mention above.
Your input with the new tcodes, that replace the tcodes above, will be appreciated.

Transfer rules are not exist for ECC Quality source system in BI Dev

Hi,
I Connected BI Dev system To ECC Dev and installed the sales, purchasing,... data flow, but here i am not getting the quality data to show the reports, to get Quality data I established the connection between BI Dev and ECC QA, while installing the transfer rules for the ECC QA data sources there no transfer rules are exist(only some of them exist) in the business content, but all the update rules,... are exist, when i right on the data source say create transfer rules it is proposing App praposal.
When i select source system as ECC dev while installing the transfer rules i can see all the transfer rules, but when i select source system as ECC QA i can see only some transfer rules.
only problem with transfer rules(some of them exist), for remaining all objects are properly existing in business content for ECC QA source system.

Thanks for the quick reply. We are not moving the stuff to QA. We are only connecting QA ECC system to BI Dev. We already have datasources moved to ECC QA and created source system for ECC QA in BI Dev.
The problem is I am not able to get Business Content transful rule for new source system. We I can find some but not all unlike development.

Replication Issue for ECC BP to CRM BP

Hello Experts,
I am trying to Create a BP in ECC with transaction BP, but whenever i save the BP in ECC, the BDOC gets stuck in CRM with the error message that 'Grouping CUBP does not exist',
Everything was working fine before, but recently we had created a copy of Account Group 001 for ECC customer for a Z accoutn group, we made all the required settings in ECC in transaction PIDE and then ran the inital load 'DNL_CUST_KTOKD' the new account group did come over to CRM in table CRMC_T077D and the account group is working fine, the customers created in ECC are getting replicated to CRM, but now the BP created in ECC does not gets replicated to CRM and give the above stated error message in the BDOC.
PLEASE HELP!!

Business Partner   >Basic Settings
Number Ranges and Groupings   > Define Groups and Assign Numbers Ranges
    > CUBP Grouping could be missing in any one of the systems. Could you please check this.

We have applied EHP4 on an exisiting(running) ECC 6.0 System. Can someone help me find answers to below queries
a) What is the SAP standard process to start with Security bit.
b) Do we need to run SU25 steps. If yes, which one of them.
c) Since the purpose of applying EHP4 was to activate few set of new business functionalities, we intend to affect the existing security design at the minimal. What is the best approach for this.

GUI 620 Patch 66, 710 Patch 5 for ECC 6.0

We are in the process of installing support packages 4 - 12 for ECC 6.0. Obviously, we're going to do this in stages because of the amount of notes each package contains. My question to the forum is regarding issues you may have encountered by running GUI 620 patch 66 for any support pack installation for ECC 6.0.
I'm trying to convince my team that we need to upgrade the GUI to support the new enhancements. Are there any requirements, suggestions, experiences, and/or opinions you can give that would reveal issues with using GUI 620 with ECC 6.0?

Hi Rod. You need to read notes, and only you and your company should make a decision about GUI version.
You do not must use 640 or 710 , but this versions are newly and are created by newly Visual Studio from Microsoft. For example the upgrade to 640 are the disputable decision becose 14th of October 2008 end of maintenance for SAP GUI for Windows 6.40.
Read this notes, and make a decision :

Note 929300 - SAP GUI for Windows 6.20: Limited support
Also the latest patch for 620 is 72. Regards.

Now we are planning to install SAP Best practices-Baseline Packages for ECC-EHP4 in our new server.
Can anybody help me out what are the steps to be carried out. Now we have completed installation of Linux & we want to install BP for General, not for any specific industry.

In SE38, click the blue icon (Information) with the "I" in it.
Click "New Features in ABAP".
There should be a subfolder there which says "ABAP Changes by Release".
There is also a very good document from Thomas Jung here in the SDN
that contain a lot of hardcopies of the changes.

NEW Tcode for Subcontracting

Has anybody heard of the transaction code ME2ON(new Subcontracting functionality regarding the movement types for components) which is a new tcode for Subcontracting process where the movement types being used are 30A . Could any body tell me how the transaction works . This is as per the new version ECC 6.0 EP4 .

In my knowledge there is no t.code like ME2ON. There is a new t.code Adsubcon for subcontract with special stock.
But you have to activate few (check in OSS) business sets in SFw5 for that. The below link will help you

You sent only a fraction of the web.xml so I have to make a few guesses...
I'm assuming that the login-config tag is within a web-app tag (otherwise I
think you'd get a parsing error). Did you include any security-constraint
tags? By default, in a webapp everything is publicly accessible. You must
specify which url's are constrained within a security-constraint tag.
See the .../samples/examples/webapp/security/WEB-INF/web.xml file for an
example of this and read the spec at
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd (search for
"security-constraint").
If you continue to have problems please repost with a full config.xml.
