New Interface Design

Hi,
I have a query regarding creating a new Interface based on an existing Interface. here is the scenario,
I have an existing Outbound Interface A from SAP PO IDOCs ->XI-> third Party A
SAP sends IDOCs whenever POs are created / changed and XI converts the IDOCs into Text File.
Now, I have a requirement where I need to convert the same PO IDOCs into different file format and for different Third Party Interface B.
SAP PO IDOCs->XI-> third Party B
So the source will remain the same ( PO IDOCs ) but I will have 2 targets.
Now the question is,
1. What should be the best approach , Do I create a completely new Configuration Scenario in Integration Directory ?
2. Since the IDOCs are already mapped to Interface A, will they be also processed to Interface B if I reuse them ??
Any Ideas / suggestion will be appreceated. Thanks.

Interface A and Interface B will work as two different scenarios (Since Receiver Determination is reused.....you will have Message Branching......will see this in SXMB_MONI when you test the scenario(S))
If you want to avoid any confusion then have conditions defined in Receiver Determination (if not considered then ask your business person to have a look into this approach).....this will avoid unnecessary execution of both the interfaces (A and B).

No Refreshed Interface Design in After Effects CC 2014

Sort of an odd question, but how do you change the interface design in After Effects CC 2014 to be the new "Refreshed Interface Design"? Like with the blue text color, borders, and different look panels (as seen in the first image linked). I updated to Adobe After Effects CC 2014 yesterday, and for some reason, my interface design has not changed at all. Is there somewhere in preferences where I can change this? I would appreciate any help, thanks.

Your second image shows After Effects CC 2014 (13.0). The new UI comes with After Effects CC 2014 (13.1).
I'm curious about how, exactly, you installed the software, since you should have gotten After Effects CC 2014 (13.1.1) if you installed from the Creative Cloud service.

It's a bit like the redesign of these discussion fora - the new layouts are designed for the younger generation but far too much scrolling and hard work to find what you want compared to the old format.

Interface Design help

Hi.
I need to design a new interface which goes as follow:
FILE (external FTP) -> PI -> FILE to SAP nfs server -> RFC
Process is: PI picks a file from an external FTP server, then same file should be send to ECC nfs server. After this, PI calls an event RFC to tell ECC to pick up the file.
There are 2 restrictions:
1) We can't use BPM
2) We can't do more than 1 interface
By now, I could only think in creating a module, because I would like to reuse it with other similar interfaces.
What do you think about mi idea?
How do you think that this could be solved in other way?

You could this with one source, two target interfaces.
The target interfaces are:
1. file
2. rfc (async)
The RFC is called after the file is written. So the ECC can upload this.
Why don't you send the file directly to ECC with an ABAP proxy?
Then the interface is more stable.

Mi idea is to call the RFC after the file is written, but my question is how can I know that the file is already uploaded before I call the RFC?
The proxy is a good idea but I don't know if they will approve that, I think they just want the fewest possible processes.

Interface design in config profile

Hi
After creation of interface design in config profile and I have assigned new tab in cu50 .
But after I have created one sale order , then I removed interface design object from config profile again I maintained same as like before .
But once I changed interface design even though I maintain again which is not updating as like before.
Can you tell me wt should I do for the same?

Book printing with Blurb. Bug ? New interface ?

Hello, all.
As I am trying to use the newest version of Aperture for the first time I am finding that the program is somewhat unresponsive. I just attempted to add one more page to a 100-page book and the application became unresponsive. The screens shows the book now as having 1098 pages but how did this happen if all I did was add one single page ? Is there a bug ?
I also noticed the new interface. The icons are monochromatic and so are all other visual elements. Is this normal ? I am assuming they are following Lion's interface design. Quite frankly I think I liked it better the way it was before.
One question:
I am trying to print a book. I have given up on printing the book using Apple's own service due to the many limitations the biggest one of all being the 100-page limit imposed to books. Adobe's Lightroom uses Blurb, which offers more options. Books printed from Lightroom can have up to 280 pages and there are choices of papers as well as choices of cover materials the user can select when ordering books. Their books do look better.
Having said that, I have found that Aperture makes the process of creating books much simpler and it is actually easier to design a book in it when compared to Lightroom. This may change in the future as they improve this feature since this is the first version that includes the book design module but for now I think I will continue to use Aperture.
Has anyone used Aperture with Blurb's printing service ? In case you have would share any tips ? I am assuming I can print an Aperture book as a PDF file and then provide it to Blurb so that they can print the book. Is this true ?
Any help or suggestions you can share will be appreciated.

I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if your problem is due entirely to trying to add that 101-st page to your book. Though if true, that would be bad of Aperture to hang, rather than warn you and not let you do so.
As per publishing with Blurb, I use outside book vendors often, while still using Aperture to design the book. When you hit "Print book" select the "PDF" button (lower left), and either print a PDF, or choose one of the "Save PDF to folder JPG" options. I use the latter. I get a single JPG for each page of my book, and then use that in the ordering software for my book vendor.
These "Save PDF to folder JPG" options are just PDF Services Automator scripts. Search the forums about this. I modified one to suit my needs. I believe they reside in /Macintosh HD/LIbrary/PDF Services. Double click on one to edit. I made mine output a 300 DPI file in the sRGB color space. Save as a new file name.

Interface Designer: "Reading Class File" fails

I'm just trying the Apple Cocoa Tutorial (ConcurrencyConverter). I have a problem at the point where you shall load the class file "ConverterController.h" into the Interface Designer. It always fails with the error "Parsed 1 source file, but no buttons were found...".
Even when I copy and paste the header file from the tutorial it doesn't work. It looks like this:

Assuming this much hasn't changed since 3.1.4, besides the Class Outlets table in the Identity Inspector, there are two places to look for Outlet and Action connections:

It might also help to start a new project and do nothing else but add one custom class to see if you have better luck getting IB to import the correct connections in the new context. E.g., add a NSObject subclass named Foo with one ivar such as IBOutlet NSWindow *Bar; then see if you can add a blue cube to MainMenu.xib, set its identity to Foo class and see the Bar outlet.
For more details on connecting custom objects, see "Setting the Class of an Object" and "Injecting Class Information into a Nib File" under Xcode Integration in the +Interface Builder User Guide+.
Of course it's possible we're dealing with a bug that's unique to 64-bit 3.2.1. I've searched the web, the 3.2.1 Release Notes and the Xcode Mailing List for reports that might confirm this, but haven't found anything interesting yet. So I think we should continue to assume that Xcode 3.2.1 is capable of obtaining custom class info, and we're just dealing with some misunderstanding. Hopefully, one of our forum experts who has 3.2.1 will join the thread to shed some more light on the topic.

Can I update my phone without changing the interface/design?

I haven't updated my iPhone 4S in ages - I think I may still be using IOS 4 or IOS 5. I love the old interface, and I really, really don't want to have to change to the new interface (I've seen it and it looks completely different). I'm very fond of how safari works, how pass code locking works, how photo albums are designed, the proccess of clearing apps - everything. The problem is that there are a few apps I'd like to download that require IOS 6 or above. My question now is either,
1) is it possible to update your phone without changing the design/interface
2) is it possible to download IOS 6 or 7 apps on an earlier version phone without updating the entire phone

The benefit to create an interface design is the user interface of CU50 or MM02 etc.
You can group your characteristics e.g. according to marketing/engineering/manufacturing and then all the responsible people can have their own set as a separate tab in CU50 when doing the configuration simulation.
You can also use buttons to use different functions of VC.

Improving Interface design

Hi all ,
I need your suggestions in improving the current interface design.
We have an interface: Sending System--->(JMS Adapter) PI 7.1(IDOC) --> (Idoc)ECC
This is the current situation:
Sending System sends 1 file with 1000 transactions, out of which 70% gets filtered in PI and sends nearly 300 idocs to ECC.
Right now we have this interface for 1 company code. Few transactions should give out DELIVERY idoc and few should give out MBGMCR idocs.
Few Fields like MESSAGECODE, MESSAGEFUNCTION, MOVETYPE, etc in the IDOCS etc. have complex udfu2019s.
UDFu2019s have the logic based on 6 incoming fields(companycode, Transaction, Supplier, PO,ReturnComp, DirectWithdrawal)
2 Message mappings- one for MBGMCR and 1 for DELIVERY
In receiver Determination.. we are doing routing based on company code.
In Interface determination, we have a complex condition for MBGMCR (based on 5 fields)which is taking 3 times more than mapping execution time (Mapping-2 sec and Interface mapping condition check takes 6 sec).
New Business Requirement:
Now the business wants us to develop a prototype which will reduce extensive testing when new conditions are added. So they want more flexible solution as this interface will be taking care of the further rollouts where new plants and conditions will be added. While adding new conditions business is worried that the existing logic shouldnu2019t be affected and retested.
So few options which came into picture are:
1. Maintaining a database table where a table will be updated with conditions. In PI we will do a look up to check the incoming values match the values in table and return the corresponding output values.
Consequences: Due to large volumes sent everyday nearly 500,000 messages a day . Each msg containing 1000 transactions out of which 70% gets filtered in PI. So we expect 500,000 RFC calls will lead to performance issues in PI.
2. Filtering Transactions on the sending system & sending some kind of flags (for transactions to be processed) which will reduce filtering in PI and save lot of system resources also. But this is not feasible from business point of view.
So now the question is :
Is there any other better way to avoid retest of the currently existing logic when new conditions are added .
(keeping performance in mind.)

honest opinion would be the person who does the re-config needs to be more careful and not touch the existing mapping/ routing conditions etc.
there is no other way wherein you can say that shield part1 of the MappingA while somebody makes a new change to the same mapping.
If your fear (or of the business') that it may happen that even existing logic is deleted while making new one then as a workaround you can suggest that we can easily retrieve the old logic (object)...at least when it comes to ESR/ IB.

M.2 the New Interface of SSD

As technology improves rapidly, we got bunch of new methods to save the data. But anyhow, call me an old fashion, I still prefer using traditional SSD, even though it takes so long that I can go making a smoothie as my breakfast. But recently, unfortunately, I found that my computer starts to make funny noise when it turns on, and it reminds me maybe it’s time to get a new one.
After reviewing my user manual, I found out that my MSI Z97 GAMING 3 do support a new interface of SSD, M.2.
I’ll choose this motherboard at the beginning because of 2 reasons. One is the price which’s relatively attractive and the other is because it got 3 PCI slot remain so that I can use my antique graphic card, the other is that it got 6 SATA interface. And then, I found 3 little interfaces that I don’t know what is that for. After checking my manual, I realize it’s the interface for M.2. Though I’ve never used it before, I’ve heard it’s fast. So why don’t I just give it a try? Google the price online, it’s quite expensive compare to traditional SSD. As the brand, lots of user recommend Intel or Plextor, which make sense since they are big brand, no need to worry about the compatibility and stability. All in all, I got Plextor M6e 256GB and will use WD EZEX 1TB to do the comparison.
First, install Plextor M.2 onto my Z97 GAMING 3
Ok, now, let’s try it.
With WD, it’ll take 52 secs. to turn on, which already amaze me while my old Hitachi takes ages.
What about Plextor M.2? 16 secs! I don’t even have time for a cup of instant coffee. It’s so incredible!
Next, let’s use CrystalMark to test it. Left you can see the resulf of WD, and the right is Plextor.
And again, Plextor beat WD!
Here’s my conclusion. If you got no budget ceiling, of course Plextor M.2 it’s a good choice on speed-wise. But when it comes to complicity, traditional SSD is still a better choice. If you got extra SATA, a SSD with SATA interface could be an alternative. As the motherboard, MSI Z97 GAMING 3, as I mentioned, it’s price attractive. Just with a tiny down side. The M.2 slot it’s beneath CPU fan and right next to PCI-e slot, so it’s not easy to install it.

I am trying to downloat the new CS6 Design Suite and am not able to get past the previous version menu. Getting the message "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." How do I get past this?

When you say "Download" do you actually mean install?
Which version are you upgrading from?
