The page recommended I change the port setting from 25 to a different value.
THAT DID NOT WORK! I GOT NO CONNECTION! I changed it BACK!

I have exactly the same issue, and I'm a verizon.net user on Fios.
I got the e-mail notice to change my Outlook 2007 accounts to the new settings - Incoming server (Pop3) to 995; Incoming server (SMTP) to 465, select SSL, and that my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, and to use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
Double checked that everything was input correctly and tried to test account settings.
Failed - timed out after about a minute due to no response from the mail server. Checked again - all settings were correct. Again failed.
Closed Outlook and restarted. Checked settings and re-tried both Send/Receive and Test Account Settings.
Failed again due to timeout.
Went back in and reset to defaults (original ports and non-SSL settings). Worked perfectly.
Why does Verizon send out these e-mails and when you perform the appropriate maintenance ... It fails to work??
Very frustrating.

Creating new logical ports for WSDL with several port types not working

Hi all,
I am trying to integrate some BODS webservice into the BPM. I am using CE 7.2 Kernel Version: 7.20.3710. When I am trying to assign a provider system in the application configuration I get following error:
The provider system successfully found the needed service, but its wsdl is without webservice policy. Thus the generated client configuration might not work because of different configurations between service and client (most probable a difference in the security settings). Either assign a provider system with access to wsdl with policy or manually create the client configuration.
The regarding provider system is using a communication profil where the authentication method is set to "none". Normally this configuration should work, but it isn't.
So I started to create new logical ports for each port type. But then I get the error:
Port type name of loaded WSDL does not match the port type name of the Service Reference.
I checked already the port type names in the WSDL but they are 100% the same. What I found was that the configuration is always trying to use the first port type in the WSDL. So I am not able to configure the other port types in the service group.
I also tried to do the same thing using a WSDL with just one port type and surprise it is working...
I hope somebody can help me out

Iphone will not show new message alert for email sent to subfolders

I have successfully synced my iphone with the exchange server so I am getting push email from entourage to my phone. However I have subfolders set up in entourage so that my email is organised. These subfolders are showing on my iphone. Although email sent to subfolders is pushed to the iphone (to the relevant subfolders), when the phone is on the home screen it does not show a new mail alert for those emails. It only shows a new mail alert for emails going to the main inbox. Obviously I need it to alert me if email is coming in to subfolders. Can anyone help with setting this up?

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Making PI listen on a new/different port for http

Hi,
I have a requirement where we are exposing PI to the internet for some webservice calls. We have firewalls/dmz/gateway etc in the picture.
One part of the problem is that, for requests coming into PI, we need PI to listen on a different port for https, say 446.
How do I go about setting this up in PI?

Changing of the web port for https can be done in the general server/port configuration of your PI System.
You can look at the port configuration with transaction SMICM on your ABAP Stack .

New Area Needed For Email Migration Questions and ...

Please may we have a new Forum area that is dedicated to the email migration. There are bound to be matters arising - I can think of one straight off - what happens to all those Disposable email addresses we set up in BTYahoo? Will they survive? Will they continue to be forwarded to the account under which they are created?

a new board maybe required but there are not enough posts at present I think to justify a new forum board - but once released maybe in a month or so then it may well justify a new forum board depending on posts. just like smarttalk and btsports

Verizon's New POP settings for Email

The probelm I am having is with Apple Mail. In preferences there is no section for a port entry for outgoing mail. incoming is set to 995 and is working fine. The outgoing takes a long time to send or sends but acts as if it is stil trying. I never know what is actually sent until someone replies.

IF these work then the new ones will. A quick look at the doc for the droid seems to show no way to change the ports. Although the ports recommended are now common with many vendors, the smtp is not the now very old standard one. Note the pop port is the standard ssl port.

Mail keeps making new mail sounds for emails I get that dont trigger notifications.

I want to have the noise happen, but only if it also triggers a notification. I have plenty of rules that shunt emails off to various folders, but the messages that go to main inbox make a notification, and the others dont.
tl;dr -> notification iff sound for new mail

So now everything is working again all one its own on my computer and the icloud page but not on my phone.

Where can I change outgoing ports for email accounts?

I'm grasping at straws here. My outgoing email just stopped working. It says the servers are offline, but the connection doctor shows ALL of them being just fine. I'm on the line with tech support now, and they can't see anything wrong. Just trying to think of everything I can.

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/Account Information, click on the arrows beside the name of the SMTP -- is the box to use this SMTP only checked?
After clicking on the arrows, select Edit Server List -- under the first tab the server and name should be listed. Then if you click on the Advanced tab, you will see the Port selection mechanism. If you know the port it should always use, you may want to select Use Custom Port and enter that number, and PW, Username if required.

Iphone5 won't access server port for email

My pop outlook 2007 email is set up on outgoing server 26 and incoming 110 SSL off. I have configured these settings in the mail settingson my Iphone but it still says Cannot Get Mail mail server is not responding. Please help!!

I had the same issue with my work outlook email when i switched to the new phone. Ended up deleting the account and redoing the account from scratch and it then worked fine and still does.

Exchange 2010 - Error setting a new transport rule for email disclaimer

Trying to setup some additional email disclaimer rules on Hub transport under Org Config on exchange 2010. We allready have a few and they work ok, however we are trying to replace this woth some alternate ones and are getting the error
The length of the property is too long. the maximum length is 8192 and the length of the value provided is 8522.
Most of this length comes from the html code we are inserting into the disclaimer. I've reduced it by about as much as i can but it's still too large. Does anybody have any suggestions or know if it;s possible to increase the 8192 sixze limit ?

Hi Roger,
For AD replication packet the ideal size is 8K. Or the above error may occur due to build/design issues.
You can eliminate this size related issue by splitting the large rule into multiple rules. This size limit is Per Rule and does not add up for all rules.

New business rules for email notification

I suggest adding 3 business rule: send an email notification when the rows was

Once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @me.com or @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
However, all is not lost. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.
You should however be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account, move it to another account, or reactivate it if you delete it.

Create new folders for email and photos

how can i create new file folders for email and/or photos on the iPad 2?
and, will it also work on the iTouch?
ALSO, tried to install a wireless printer which looks for documents in the "documents" folder, but i can't save them there from email or anyplace else????

If you are on iOS 5 and it's an IMAP based email account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of your current folders on your email account - if you aren't on iOS 5 or if the account is POP based then you won't get the Edit button.
Similarly for photos, if you are on iOS 5 then you should get an Edit button at the top right of the Album selection screen in the Photos app which allows you to create new albums and copy (not move) photos into - and if you delete the original photo then if will also be removed from all albums that you've 'copied' it into.
If the iPod Touch is also on iOS 5 then I think that you will get the same options (though I'm not 100% sure)

Reduce photos for emailing

How could one reduce the photo size taken with the new iPad camera for emailing as the photo is quite big in size. I have seen many similar questions and answers before posting this but none of them helped. Do you need a third party app?

Actually, I think the ability to reduce emailed images is a function of image size, not the source. If I have a large image from a different camera or even the Internet, I get the resize options. If the picture is small, even from the iPad (like some screen shots), I don't get the resize options.
Although I haven't narrowed it down totally, a file as small as 426 KB gave me the resize options (although Large and Medium were still 426 KB, Small was 39 KB, so it seems that is close to the line.)
