New iopd on an existing account

My daughter got a new ipod and wants to replace her old one with it on her itunes account. Is this possible? How do you remove an old ipod and add a new ipod to an existing account?

iPods are not linked to iTunes accounts.
Just plug in the new iPod to use it and stop using the old iPod (if you want).

If you have given correct info about you ios 6.1.3 - all you need to do is delete account. You will be able to sign in with new one afterwards. Make sure you don't delete any info when you see those prompts.

Are you trying to say the iDevice is not being detected by iTunes?

Port number to a new device on an existing account

I currently have a VZW account. I want to add a device, an iphone 6. I also want to trade in my iphone 4 which is on a different carrier.
When going through the add device flow in the online account it doesn't give me any option to port the number in. Do I need to do this separately? Secondly, since I am trading in the phone, I would not send it in until I get the new device from Verizon and the number is ported. Is this ok?

Let's get you some answers so we can start this port process for you as soon as possible. If you are adding a new line the you can start with a temporary number, once you receive the phone then we can initiate the port process to bring over the number from another carrier. When I plugged in my phone to my itunes it asked if I wanted to set this up as a new Iphone or restore from the backup of my ipod. I dont know what those mean.

You apparently have an iPod Touch? It is asking you if you want to setup your iPhone with the backup from that iPod which would include the notes, data, etc.

I had two iCloud account - one on my iPad set up with Me.com. Its a long story as to why I had two account which I will not the issue. I changed my iPad account to link up with my MacBook Pro account - which is my primary account. After doing this all seemed OK except I could not get y primary iClould email account set. When I tried to add my primary iClound email account it only allows you to add a NEW iClould account which is not what I want.
How do I correct this issue? Thanks.

Thanks Winston but your solution did not work. In my iCould account everything works except Mail - that being contacts, calendar, reminders, etc. When it comes to mail it is currently OFF. When I turn it ON, it states that I need to create a NEW free iClound account, and allowing me to establish my existing account.
When I tried your solution, it stated that the account already exists but in reality it is not on my iPad.
Any more thoughts?

New iPhone 5 and existing iCloud account

I recently got my wife an iPhone 5 for the holidays. We are a multiple Apple family with 2 iPads, iPods, etc... Problem is, I set up her new iPhone on my existing iCloud account with out realizing it would send all my messages and contacts to her phone. Easy solution seems to be having her set up her own iCloud, but with that, I don't think I can use Find My iPhone (with 2 separate iCloud accounts). Is this correct? I can't be the first person struggling with this. Please help! Thank you!

Use separate Apple ID for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime. Use a common one for iTunes & App Stores.
You can use Find my iPhone by sign in with her Apple ID in www.icloud.com or in Find my iPhone app in another iDevice.

There should definitely be no issue. You can register more than one Apple device with the same Apple ID and get the same apps on both devices without having to pay for the apps again.
Alternatively, if you want all your settings to say the same, do a backup of your old iPod Touch and then whe you receive the new iPod, restore the backup on it and it'll save you the trouble from having to redownload everything.

You can open your second profile which is no ability of receiving new mail and export all of messages/contacts/calendar item to a PST file and save it somewhere.
Then open the first profile, import the privious PST file into this profile to solve the problem.
Using .pst files in Microsoft Outlook is good way to transfer the data, here is some information how to manage the PST file for your reference.
