New iOS update = no docking station compatability...!!

After the 6.1 iOS update my iPhone4 no longer works with my iLive docking station. It doesn't charge or play my music through the dock's speakers. I tried restarting my phone and it still doesn't work. I put a friend's iPod on the dock and that worked fine. So I know it has something to do with this update. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions?? This is really frustrating...

I have the same issue with a philips AJ7040D. just purchased from amazon. The dock alarm clock does not recognize my iphone 4s with ios 6.1.1. Error : "this accessory is not supported by iphone" message shows up on the iphone. Called Philips support and they said the AJ7040D is no longer compatable with 6.1.1.

Hi,
I have been using the iPod/iPhone docking station JBL OnStage 200 ID for quite a while, and was also very happy with it. Since I updated my iPhone 4 and 2nd generation iPod Touch to iOS 4.2 a while ago, the dock doesn't work as it did before. Both devices still play music through the dock, but do not charge anymore, and display messages that the connected peripheral is "unsupported".
I could cope with the pop-up messages, but I really need the dock to charge the devices. Has anyone of you experienced the same problem with a JBL device, or even found a solution to the problem? I thought, this would be something a firmware update of the docking station could fix, but according to the JBL support "they are not responsible for what Apple breaks in their software updates" ... Any ideas?

Apple removed blood glucose until further notice. The reason behind this is that it gave a distorted picture in countries where the medical world used other measuring units. I suspect it will be available again in a future update.

A new iOS update and another new battery issue on the iPhone 5

Has anyone else contacted Apple support and been given te same old "solutions" on the battery issues?
1) Turn off location services.
2) Turn off background app updates.
3) Restore as a new device.
These solutions turn a smartphone into a dumb-phone. I love my iPhone but with every new iOS update, the battery becomes incredibly unreliable. Has anyone found a solution that does not kill the iPhone's functionality?

You can try a soft-reset of pressing and holding both the home and sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds so that it reboots, but you are likely to get the same screen. If it does then it will need to be connected to a computer's iTunes so that it can be reset back to factory defaults - do you have a friend with a computer with iTunes installed on it, or is there an Apple store nearby that you could try going to (if there is then preferably make a Genius Bar appointment at it, or don't go at a busy time) ?
Has she been backing up to the cloud ? If she has then she should be able to restore to that. If not then what she can redownload for free from the stores will show in the Purchased tabs in the store apps.

No badge alert on setting icon when the new ios update is released

Hi all,
I use iphone 5. I found that a badge is not shown on the setting icon when a new ios update is released. Only way letting me know that there is an update is manual check update, i.e. go to setting->general->software update. I think, normally, the badge should present automatically on the setting icon everytime the update is released. Does anyone find this problem? How to solve this?

I have the exact same problem. Been searching Google for answers but have found none :-(
I upgraded from an iPhone 4s to 5 recently. I had the Settings badge show up right after I got the phone, but after I got home and did a restore from backup to get my 4s stuff over to the 5, then no more badge notification.
I can't find any settings anywhere to help with this.
Anybody got any suggestions/thoughts/fixes/etc?

Docking station compatibility

I have a Bush docking station CSPK10i. It charges my ipod touch but I can't play music as when the ipod is dockd the volume slider won't work. as soon as I take it out of the docking station I have sound again. ipod works in other docking stations ok. Is there a compatibility problem with Bush products or is there a fix I can apply? It has worked fine until I upgraded o/s.

Sometimes this works:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility. In that case yo will have to wait for an iOS update or an update tot he firmware for the dock. Have you went to the dock manufacture's support site?

T410 Docking Station Compatibility

I just ordered a new T410 to replace a T61. I have an advanced docking station, Type 2503, will this docking station work with the T410? Thank you.

After doing a little more research, I noticed the Lenovo site shows the Hardware Compatibility for the Advanced Dock and it lists the T400 - All Models. Am I wrong to consider the T410 a model variant of the T400?

T430 Docking Station Compatability

Hi,
Will the T430 work with older docking stations that were designed for the T420? The Lenovo support website only lists it being compatable with the newer docking stations that include USB 3.0.

Yes it will, but without the benefit of USB 3.0 on the dock.

New iOS update

I have 2 iPhone 4's in my family and the new iOS 7.0.6 update would not install on one of them. Any thoughts...

I have a first generation ipad that I gave to my father. He wants to download a few things and it says that he can't because he needs the new ios update. When I try to download it it says that I can't. Is the older version IPADS unable to update?

Maybe a little more info would be helpful. How are you trying to update the iPad? What model iPad it is and what version of the iOS is on it now?
