plugged in brand new ipad that is still showing the 'itunes' and usb lead as a sign to connect to itunes before it will even start up and my computer is detecting the Apple IPAD 2 camera but Itunes is not picking it up? whats going wrong?
If you're really trying to use Windows 2000, then that's the problem. As you'll see on the box, you need at least XP/SP3.

I am setting up my new ipad 2. On the mail icon I set up my work address thru Microsoft Exchange once I did that the mail icon automatically goes to my work address and it does not give me the choice of the mail icon again how do I get that back?
If you mean when you are reading email in the mail app.....
Tap on the word "Mailboxes" in the upper left corner of the mail app - next to the name of your Exchange email account. That will take you back to the list of all of the Mailboxes on your iPad.
The mail app will always go back to where you were when you left the app. So if you were reading mail in your Exchange account and then you leave the app (without quitting the app) it will take you back to that email that you were reading when you come back. -
My new iPad mini is connected to a Logitech keyboard but can't seem to get it to type instead of the touch screen version on the iPad - any hints?
MichaelIs this a Bluetooth keyboard?
Have you turned on Bluetooth in iPad's Settings app? -
I've upgraded the software on my iPad "The New iPad" as they call it to iOS 6 and I'm unable to get spoken directions on the turn by turn navigation. Does anybody know if this feature is available for the iPad? It's Siri compatible
Also I'm in AustraliaYes, turn by turn directions is available on the new ipad. I've tried it and it does work.
What problem are you having? -
Have a new IPad with IOS6. Will not send emails. Addresses are valid but get notice each time that "recipient was rejected by the server." Apple has apparently neglected to put out a manual with IOS6 and the previous manual has no indication of what to do. Really miss Steve Jobs.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

I had to get a new hard drive in my 27 in IMac. I used time machine to get everything back on my computer. I just turn on time machine and its says it's preparing over 800,000 items to back-up, it never back-up, it stop and starts the process over again.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then repair the backup/TM drive. -
Downloaded this game, "Where's My Water 2" and before I can even start it asks for my age but freezes and wont move. I've rebooted, turned off, removed and reinstalled and it still wont work but on all my previous iPhones it worked fine.
Sorry if I sound stupid but how do I contact the developer? Where would I find that information?

Today I bought a brand new iPad mini 2, 32 gb. First, I backed up my old ipad mini to my hard drive. Then, I updated iTunes to the newest version. Then, I plugged in the new iPad mini, went through the set up, iTunes was working fine. I registered the iPad, then it suggested i update the iOS on the iPad. This is where things went south. After a few minutes, it stated "cannot update iOS 7 at this time" or something to that effect. Since that point, iTunes will not recognize the iPad. The iPad shows the "connect to iTunes" screen. When I plug it in, I hear the tone suggesting a new device is connected, but nothing happens. I've tried it in DFU mode, no results. I've tried putting it in recovery mode, nothing happens, just the same screen. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, following every step suggested through this site/apple support. I even uninstalled and installed an older version of iTunes (10.7) but same result. I've followed all troubleshooting steps, and nothing is working, so please don't suggest the same olf "iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows" page.
What should I do? Do I have to take this to the geniuses at the store? Will they even be able to help without having access to my computer?iPad not appearing in iTunes

I have a new IPAD and just bought APple TV. Need to set up home sharing on my account and have followed Support options wherein you log into ITunes, choose advanced, then allow Home sharing. There is no place to even sign in to ITunes as i have always seen before. Cannot start ITunes on Laptop (linked to IPAD) at all but can from Browser. Trying to share content from my IPAD and APple TV.
I had no problem doing so on my home PC and APple TV but not IPAD?BStroke wrote:

WHat happens?
Have your tried removing and reinstalling iTunes?
Cannot start ITunes on Laptop (linked to IPAD) at all but can from Browser.
What does "can from browser" mean?
Trying to share content from my IPAD and APple TV.
You don't share content from AppleTV (as it contains no content) and you can AirpPlay from iPad to AppleTV, not share content.
To turn on Home Sharing on the iPad, Settings > Store.
THis allow soyu to view the content of the iTune slibrary on your comnoputer. -
I plan to upgrade to a newer iPad. After I reset my old iPad to clear it for sale, will I be able to get my old data to my new iPad? I will be getting a WIFI only iPad. My old one is a 3G/WIFI.
Message was edited by: MadMXDo not reset the old iPad until you transfer all purchase, backup and sync with iTunes one final time. After you have down all three you can then reset the iPad to factory settings.
I would NOT reset the old iPad until you set up the new one just in case - but that is up to you. Before you reset the iPad ...
Connect your iPad to the computer and launch iTunes. If you use auto sync just go ahead and let the iPad sync. Before you disconnect the iPad, right click on the iPad name on the left side under the devices heading and select Transfer Purchases. Let the process complete and then right click on the iPad name again and select Backup. Let the process complete and then sync one last time. Now all of your purchased content should be in iTunes on your computer and all of your data will be in the backup.
When you set up the new iPad you can restore from the backup of the first iPad and resycn all of your content as well.

Hi. I just got a new iPad. How to I move my Game Center games from my old iPod? My family uses one Apple ID, and I keep getting another
Family member's Game Center on my iPad!Okay so I figured out the solution by reading other discussions. Basically you need to delete on your phone the icloud account and start up a new icloud account with a new email address. This is nice because you can still share apps without getting everyone elses things. The only thing that didn't get worked out was the notes...
On your phone go to settings and then icloud, scroll down and delete the account. Then just make a new icloud under a new email. -
I can no longer access apps on my new iPad that we're downloaded on old iPad. Using cloud.
Are you trying to download them from your purchased list? If so, make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase them in Settings>iTunes & App Store, and that the apps are still available for purchase in the App store. Then you should be able to download them as explained here: Download past purchases.
If that isn't your question, please explain further.
