New ipad 2 will not connect at all to set up
Just got a ipad 2 this morning and I am trying to set it up with my macbook pro. But it will show that it is connected. What do I do?
If you rebooted the router - unplugged it for about 30 seconds and then plugged it back in - try restarting your iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, turn WiFi off and then turn it on again in the settings on the iPad.
Try this as well - Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

New Ipad mini will not connect automatically to home WiFi network
I use a range of Apple devices at home, IPhone 4, MacBook Pro and IMAC.
They all see and connect automatically to my WiFi home network. I never experienced any difficulty with my DLINK router.
I have received a couple of days ago my new Ipad mini (Wifi+ cellullar), running IOS 602, but not equipped with a SIM card.
The device never connects automatically to the home WiFi network.
I need to open the Settings app, chose the WiFi submenu and select manually my "dlink" network. Then only can I work with my network.
I need to perform this each time I leave my home or I restart the device.
As I am experienced with Apple devices I noticed this behaviour right away and can confirm that the settings on the Ipad mini are the same as the ones of the IPhone 4. I am certain that this is a bug.
Any suggestion to overcome this major frustration?

I am attempting to get Facetime on my new Mac Mini to connect to Facetime on my new iPad 32 G through my WiFi router. It rings on the iPad but after clicking on Accept, all it does is try to connect with no success. I have tried to reverse the order of the connection (iPad to the Mac Mini) but no success. The problem seems to be with the Mac Mini as I have been able to connect my iPad Facetime to my local authorized Apple dealer Facetime software both ways (i.e.I have connected with them and they have been able to connect with me.) I just bought the new IPad and its taking me through the setup screens, when I get to the wi-fi setup I see my router (2WIRE) I click on it, I put in the password and it says "Not correct Password" I know it is the correct password, I even changed it in the router and it still says "Not correct Password" I tried putting in the passcode that is in brackets under the router and still I get "Not correct password". I also cannot get passed the initial setup prompt for wi-fi so I can go into the settings and see whats goin on. What can I do? Please help, thanks

My new Apple TV will not recognize my iPad Air or Air 2, but will recognize all other devices in the house (iPhone 5c, 5s, 6, iPad mini, MacBook, etc). What am I missing that the new Airs will not connect? All software is up to date. they are on same network.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -

I tried to unistall the newer version of iTunes and installed a older version but when i try to open it it says iTunes Library.itl can not be regonizied becuase it was made by a newer version of iTunes. What I would want to know is how to delete the newer version of the .itl file or find out how to make the newer version of iTunes work with my iPad. Does the charger get warm at all? Plug the cable into your computer with iTunes open. Does it say not charging.? If it does, the cable is good. The iPad will charge very slowly when pluged into your computer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. My iPad 2 will not connect to my Time Capsule
My iPad 2 will not connect to my Time Capsule. Both my Macbook and iPhone4 are connected. It finds the Wifi network, but will not log on. Any idea why?
this worked fine up until last night, then all of a sudden its kicking just my iphone off the network. i am going to try to connect to other wifi's to see if i should do one of the following
