New Ipad (4th gen) crashed/froze three times in the last few hours.
After resetting it stays on the apple logo screen. No indication to connect to itunes (and it doesn"t connect)
I'm stuck on the appel logo screen and need some advice

Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost.

Yesterday (19Feb) FF was working fine and I hadn't experienced a crash in several weeks. This morning, the program had crashed, and when it recovered, it said it was updating. Since then, it has crashed 4 or 5 times, usually just in a static (not bringing new pages up) condition. My computer hasn't been changed. You have to make sure you purchase the correct iPad model - the AT&T version is model A1459 which WILL NOT access the 4G network on the EE network in the UK - will still work on 3G. You need the Sprint / Verizon model which is model A1460. The US store sells both.

Pages on my iPad3 has become very slow to open documents after upgrading to ios7.
I posted on here about this a few weeks back and someone suggested force-closing Pages -- and that does indeed enable me to open things -- but I have had to force-close many times in the last 24 hours, which is worrying. Are there any other suggestions?
I am sometimes also finding that, when I have been writing something and then click on "documents" the screen goes blank, there is a wait of around a minute and then the same document is re-displayed, before clicking "documents" again lets me look at other documents -- which is a pain if I am trying to move between documents repeatedly. Again, words of wisdom on this would be great.
Pages under iOS6 opened quickly, and there was an immediate loss of performance when I upgraded. I am finding this very frustrating because I don't feel that the new Pages has added to the facilities I was using, but a slowness to open documents is frustrating.

The events of the last month, with the photographs have suddenly disappeared from the iPhoto Library. I have opened these successfully several times during the last few weeks, but on opening them yesterday they weren't there any longer. No idea how this could have happened! Is it possible to retrieve ???
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Updated firefox SEVERAL times in the last few months and even though everything goes ok with the installation, it never upgrades! I get notices on my college website as well as other that I have an incompatible version and have to upgrade, BUT OT NEVER WORKS!!!

It could have something to do with that acronym at the end, which I think is associated with one of your add-ons.
To see your true current version, you can check Help > About Firefox.
If your true current version is 6.0.2 (today's version), then you may need to clear a setting using the about:config preference editor. Here's how:
(1) Type or paste '''about:config''' into the location bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful if it appears.
(2) Type '''agent''' into the filter box and wait for the list to be filtered.
(3) Right-click '''general.useragent.override''' and choose Reset to return that preference to its default value.

That's a lot faster than most users report. Usually overnight.

I have ipad(4th gen) , it crash too much , when I start any app it leave the app and close it.
Please help me1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two and tap the minus sign to close app.

No wifi connection on new iPad 4th gen
Help please ive just bought the ipad 4th gen and it wont connect to any wifi networks, im unable to complete the setup because of this. Ive tried different networks and still nothing.I have also tried reseting it but nothing same thing keeps happening, is this common with the new ipads because i have the first one and have never had any trouble connecting to wifi
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Buy Snow Leopard upgrade:

See if the iTunes update is available with software update, get it from downloads (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576), or otherwise find the link to 10.7 in the "how do I downgrade from iTunes 11" threads. Most of them link to non-Apple sites carrying previous software versions like itunes 10.7. -
My iPod keeps shutting off when I go onto apps. It has shut off about 3-5 times in the last hour. Help?
Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -
New iPad (3rd Gen) crashes ALL THE TIME
So I have been using my new iPad this weekend, and it crashes all the time - the specific programs. I cannot access simple things like in iBooks and other programs without a crash. I dont know what to do other than to return it. I sold my iPad 2 and now wish I didnt.
Is this somehow just my iPad or is this an issue with other people??I got myself two new iPads, one for me and one for my son (replacing our iPad(s) 2) and I installed tons of apps and other content to both iPads, no issues whatsoever.
Have you used an old backup to install your stuff on your new iPad? If yes, please do a full recovery and install everything again, not from the backup.
If this doesn't work, your iPad must be defective.
The only complaint I have is the slow charging. -
OSX has killed my harddrive THREE times in the last 3 months
That nasty upgrade 10.4.3 killed it the first time in early November. After the upgrade, the computer would get really slow doing basic tasks like pulling up the contents of a folder. Eventually, trying to fix it with Disk Utility and Disk Warrior (to no avail)... indicating "speed inhibited by disk malfunction"... verbose booting indicates DISK I/O ERRORs.... ok, so I decide to scrap this HD - well, I couldn't boot any more anyway.
SO, I buy a new HD... Maxtor 300GB.. reinstall EVERYTHING... upgraded to 10.4.3 ... running fine until Jan 22.. then, slowness again... same seeming inability to read the disk... cannot repair using the utilities.. FINE...
SO, I wipe out the **** thing... AGAIN.. reinstall - CLEAN - and use combo update for 10.4.4. Two weeks later... Feb 1... SAME thing... slowness, can't pull up basic directory contents...
I give up... new drive, two loss of disk access in one month. Additional loss of disk access 1.5 months prior. WHAT IS UP with OSX Tiger 10.4.3+?
Is anyone else pulling their hairs out over this? I have finally taken it to the local Mac Doctor to try to determine if this is a hardware problem or a software (OSX) prob. I'm wondering if OSX is not liking on of the programs it runs along with... ???? HELP.While your problems are frustrating I can top them. I had 4 hard drives fail in a 10 week period. They would last anywhere from 6 weeks down to 2 days. Forget about how many times I had to reinstall to the replacement drives. Some could take an erase and reinstall, some were just dead and would not even mount.
That was two years ago. Not Tiger related. I think it was a bad batch of hard drives. Western Digital was very good about replacing them and the 5th hard drive has worked fine for the last 2 years.
Tiger does work hard drives but I'm not convinced your problem is an Apple issue (software or hardware). It could be but without more investigation it just as well may not be Apple related. -
Firefox has been crashing at random times for the last two days
Firefox has been crashing randomly for the last two days. I had to download Malwarebytes yesterday because I picked up Malware Doctor (I think that's the name.) It was soon after I had removed the spyware that Firefox started crashing.
