Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

New iPad mini has Passcode that owner did not set

Brand new iPad mini was setup using cloud only, never attached to computer. Now trying to use it again but it's asking for a Passcode. I didn't set a passcode and it's not connected to employer in any way. How to bypass or reset?

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

I purchased an iPad mini a few weeks ago and the sound was working no problem. All of a sudden it has stopped in apps and music. Checked mute and done a reset but neither have worked?

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPad. I recommend the following steps for an issue like this (the steps refer to an iPhone but are also applicable to the iPad). You can skip the steps you have already taken:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, followthese troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

Ipad mini constantly restart by its own

The screen suddenly displays some black strip then shut down and restart, happens often with some tap and sometimes on its own. The issue starts to constantly happen ever since one time when the device shut down by out of battery. Any help to resolve this issue? This happens about 10 times a day and really gets me frustrated.

To rename them go to Settings>General>About>Name.
Don't start all over again. There are solutions for devices that are not being seen in iTunes. Try those suggestions first.

My new ipad mini has sound but I can't hear the clicks or the keyboard sounds. Please help someone!

The sounds setting is on, and I can play music etc but other sounds such as the select click or the keyboard clicks are not there. It is a new pad so maybe some setting is on off or something? The volume button on the side is on full but still not clicks!

Erasing the device doesn't do any good if there is a problem with the iOS software. That merely removes the contents and settings from the iPad. You need to restore to factory settings and restore the iOS.

I am planning to purchase the new iPad Mini with Retina Display when it comes out this month. I am curious to know whether it will fit into the older iPad Mini cases that are currently available. I wasn't sure whether I should go ahead and buy a case, or if I should wait due to a size difference. Thanks!
