New iPad Mini is not connecting to Wi-Fi.
I AM FURIOUS! IT IS CHRISTMAS AND MY BRAND NEW IPAD MINI IS NOT CONNECTING TO WIFI!
Excuse me - I am a owner of a chain of computer repair stores.. I am not a amature. Thats my qualification.
EVERY SINGLE DEVICE CONNECTS TO THE ROUTER.. iPad 2 iPad 3 iPhone 5 iPhone 4 iPhone 4s and my macbook pro.
I DID EVERYTHING! CLEARLY ALL FINGERS POINT TO THE DEVICE HARDWARE MALFUNCTION
Reset the router, Installed a new router, Updated the iPad Mini software (5 times with restore) Changes the wifi password endless times, reset everything countless times.
this disgusts me that APPLE would release devices with bugs in it. FIX THIS NOW.
Sincerely, Your LOYAL CUSTOMERS!
i'm furious i'm furious i'm extremely mad right now. i have nothing to say besides i am very upset...
(NOTE! Bought my iPhone 5 the day it was released (expected bugs) since the day of release APPLE has replaced my iPhone 5 (7) times in only a few months. WHERE IS THE R&D GUYS?!~
stilll mad...

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

New Ipad mini will not connect automatically to home WiFi network
I use a range of Apple devices at home, IPhone 4, MacBook Pro and IMAC.
They all see and connect automatically to my WiFi home network. I never experienced any difficulty with my DLINK router.
I have received a couple of days ago my new Ipad mini (Wifi+ cellullar), running IOS 602, but not equipped with a SIM card.
The device never connects automatically to the home WiFi network.
I need to open the Settings app, chose the WiFi submenu and select manually my "dlink" network. Then only can I work with my network.
I need to perform this each time I leave my home or I restart the device.
As I am experienced with Apple devices I noticed this behaviour right away and can confirm that the settings on the Ipad mini are the same as the ones of the IPhone 4. I am certain that this is a bug.
Any suggestion to overcome this major frustration?

New IPad mini does not share photos using Photo stream
New IPad mini does not share photos using Photo stream. Turned on sharing on both devices and also setup bluetooth both devices and they are connected. have photos on my mini put does not send to my Mac using photo stream
GaryPhoto stream doesn't use bluetooth; only wifi. Photos added to the camera roll on your device are automatically added to photo stream when the camera app is closed, your device is connected to wifi, and it has at least 20 % battery life remaining. Also, only photos added to the camera roll after enabling photo stream are uploaded, not photos prior to enabling photo stream. If the photos appear in your my photo stream album on your iPad Mini, then they were successfully added to your photo stream.
To share them with your Mac, your Mac must be running OS X Lion (10.7.4) or higher, and you must have either iPhoto 9.2 or higher or Aperture 9.2 or higher. If you do, you must sign into your iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud and check Photo Stream in order for the photos to automatically be added to iPhoto (or Aperture). This is explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html. -
My new iPad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. Any suggestions?
my new ipad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. What should I try?
Does the charger get warm at all? Plug the cable into your computer with iTunes open. Does it say not charging.? If it does, the cable is good. The iPad will charge very slowly when pluged into your computer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. Ipad mini does not connect SOME wifi
My iPad mini does not connect some wifi. I tried all instructions like resetting settings, on-off router, manuel configuration but it is still same. I am using same router at my home and with same confiqs, it is connecting there, other iPads, iPhones are also connecting to wifi here, It also connects some other wifi's.
I've read that there is no solution, I have to change it.

Hey Dr kris,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are having issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks with your iPad mini. The following troubleshooting assistant may lead to a resolution:

I have bought a new iPad mini. its not showing me Facetime Installed. How should I start a Facetime ?
Where did you buy it? facetime is barred from devices sold in some countries, due to the countries insisting upon it. UAE and other middle eastern countries are examples.
If you bought your iPad in a country that banns its use then you'll never have facetime on that device. It's locked out at the most basic level. -
My new ipad mini will not let me switch between modes when using the built in camera app. It is stuck on Video mode. I am unable to take photos, although I could when I first used it. Could this be a fault with the pad or with the new 7.0.4 update? Can anyone help please?
Have you tried to force quit the app? Double tap the home button. Scroll sideways if needed to see the icon and preview for the camera app. Flip that app up and off the screen to close it then single tap on the home screen preview or single tap the home button to exit the mode.
Try your camera app again and see if you can switch modes.
When you switch modes, you do have to drag the words, not just tap on the video word, if that makes any sense. When you try to go from video to photo, do you try to drag the photo word to the front? -
HT1695 ipad Mini is not connecting to my known wi-fi networks
My iPad Mini is not connecting to my known wifi networks and keeps telling me that I'm "Unable to Join." What can I do to fix this problem?
I doubt that your problem is identical. RJ4778 is having problems connecting to known networks (those to which he has connected before).
It would be best if you started your own thread and detail what networks you are talking about. Give details. -
My new iPad mini will not activate. What could be wrong?
My new iPad mini will not activate. Tried restarting the iPad with no luck. What else can I try?
On your computer, go to http://www.apple.com/itunes and download the current version (11.0.1).
Your iTunes 10.6.3 is old and cannot support a new iPad running iOS 6.
It is possible your computer is too old to support iTunes 11. That could be the reason for the message that 10.6.3 is the current version. In fact, it is not current and insufficient to support your new iPad.
Good luck. -

The Mac/iPad says it needs a newer version of iTunes, but the Mac says that it has the latest version of iTunes. The kids can't transfer their music, books, photos, etc from the Mac, where everything is centrally stored, to their new minis. :(. Can any one help?
What itunes version do you have?
What Mac OS version do you have?
From the ipad mini box and web page:
Apple ID (required for some features)
Internet access6
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
