New iPad, missing apps?

I recently replaced my iPad 1st Gen with a brand new iPad 2. I also have an iPhone 4S.
I have only ever had one iTunes account. It's the only one I have ever used.
I had no problem downloading things between my iPad 1st Gen and my iPhone but I connected my iPad 2 and synced it with my MacBook Pro, and went to the App a store to download my apps and some say it is already installed to my iPad 2 ... But the apps are not there. It won't even give me the option to repurchase or download them again. It just says "installed".
Please help.

That means it's on your iPad. How many pages you have on your iPad, you can swipe your finger on the screen to your left to go to page two and so on. Or is it in one of the folders, something like this?

To the best of my knowledge, you can not do what you want with either the iPad 2 or the new iPad 3. If it could be done, you would need an App to manage it.
There is an HDMI AV adapter for the iPad, but it is output only, not input.
You might look into using the AppleTV. I'm not aware of it having the capability you need, but you might be able to stream the camera's video and receive it on the iPad. Again, you might need an App to do that.

HT1689 New iPad Limited App Store

I just got a new iPad, and cannot seem to pull up more than 30 available apps in any category in the app store. By comparison, a general search of categories on my iPhone yields literally hundreds of results. To the best of my knowledge, I have no limitations or restrictions that would cause this. Is there something else I need to do to get a more broadened list of apps?

New Ipad missing memory!

My usage on my New Ipad shows only 1.6GB available but my music/apps/videos etc only adds up to 4.5GB. Where could the other 9GB or so be?

New iPad iPhone app hosed my ability to control my kids appleTv

Last night I could not connect to my daughters Apple TV tonight I had the bright idea to update it.
Long story short, I can no longer change the movie she is watching or choose a new playlist. Apple really messed this one up.
I have five apple TV's, one on every TV. One first gent hat works one first gen that is a brick, one second gen and two third gen.
I have used playlists since my daughter was four months old, now she is almost five years old. The key was that I could control the video from my phone and now my iPad. I could load playlists from my phone and switch video on the fly without going into her room therefore upsetting her. Now I can only pause and play a video already loaded on the Apple TV.
I don't listen to music!!!! I watch video and control it remotely for my child. I want this functionality back. Back the way it was and how it worked on the first gen Apple TV. The newer remotes took some of that functionality away but I could work around it now it and my bedtime Apple TV usage is ruined.
Please either fix the app or can someone please tell me how to make it p,at video playlists and at this point any video from my library other than the one that is currently playing.
Help me make bed time less of a pain and give me my functionality back.

What is interesting: iPhone 3Gs with the same iOS (6) works properly - it catches the signal just before the train reaches any station. I've checked today both phones (the same iOS and operator) moving to work. 3Gs got the signal on each station, 4s - every fourth station (apprx).
I wonder what's about iPhone5 behavior. Can anybody tell something please?

Extreme Lag/Crash on New iPad iTunes App

when browsing the store, i get extreme lag on both page updating, touch ( when scrolling on screen, no response), and in a couple cases the iTunes App just flat out crashes to home screen
after waiting for a time it does show stuff, but missing alot of images/parts of page

it does NOT do then when in the App Store, or any other app
crash logs show a couple Low Memory's with only "MobileStore " as largest process ( only app running )
as well as a couple crash's under " com.apple.Mobilestore failed to resume in time " and

I have been getting many LowMemory and MobileStore crashes since 2012-04-29
I updated to iOS 5.1.1 today hoping it would fix the problem but it is just the same.
I have 2.3GB spare.
most problems seem to be with podcast pages with multiple entries.
mobileStore has been painfully slow since they added the DOWNLOADED symbols.
I had difficulty getting iTunes to see the iTouch, even after updating to the latest version (10.6.1.7)
since 5.1 I have normally had to stop and start apple services before seeing the iTouch in iTunes.

IPad missing app on home screen

Our Netflix app is not showing up on our home screen even though the App Store says we have it downloaded on this device. I just updated my iPad so it is up to date. The netflix icon shows up on the updates page in the App Store, but there is nothing to the far right indicating we can update or open the application. When you search for it in the App Store it shows up, but if you try to "get" it the icon says update, but it is very faint and does not do anything when you press on it. I called Netflix and they told me if I cannot uninstall the app, which I cannot get it to delea, then it is an apple problem. So I cannot get it, or update it, or deleat it. And it does not show up on the home screen to play. Please help.

Do you have an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it from your iPad's home screens (and from downloading updates to it) ?

New iPad Calendar app and E-mail, Calendar and Contacts setting crashes

The Calendar app has just started to crash. I cannot open the app at all, not even after forced quit. Tried to remove the calendar in the Settings app, but noticed that the E-mail, Calendar and Contacts section also hangs. What to do? It works fine my iPhone.

I agree this is most needed, but also for the iPhone & iPod touch devices. They should also allow changing what day is the start of the week (instead of being stuck with Sunday). iCal actually allows you to have the week view scroll by day, so you are always looking at the next 7 days, versus some dates in the past.

New Ipad missing from the sealed box

I bought an Ipad mini from Walmart for Thanksgiving. When I opened the box there is no Ipad .This looks like an organised theft and I am confused as what to do next ?Please help

I heard the same thing happened with a couple of iPads at Walmart a year or two ago. The store management apologized and gave a full refund or another iPad box which actually had an iPad in it. It should work out the same for you.
For some reason it's only Walmart. I wonder where they get their iPads.

Make sure you have enough free space. You'll need two to three times the size of the app for it to be able to unpack its files and install.

You need to leave the YouTube app first. Once you're on your home screen, double tap the home button. The multitasking menu will come up. press down on an app for two seconds. Then hit the red - to kill the app. Your YouTube will work normally now.

IPad iPhoto app won't run

After initial installation of the new iPad iPhoto app, you run iPhoto. It attempts to "Update photo library". Approximately 3/4 through, the software crashes going first to a black screen, then to the iPad's Home screen. IOS 5.1 installed. I have 90 albums and over 14,000 photos in the iPad "Photo" application. Over 1.2GB of storage remaining and 189MB of memory during the iPhoto operation.

With that number of images you might be getting a bit low on space but I'm not convinced thats the source of the issue.
Consider trying the following to issolate the issue and please report back if one of these helps:
Power cycle your iPad
Double-tap your home button and remove all persistent apps (If you are a quick access user I know this is a pain but try it anyways please. You can always go back and re-open them and call me names I won't mind )
Delete and reinstall iPhoto -- Be aware this will make any journals you've made uneditable.

You have another app that is interfering with iPhoto installed on your iPad OR one or more images / albums is corrupt and is causing iPhoto to fail. I don't have a magic way of fixing this beyond importing all the images to your computer and then putting them back on systematically testing iPhoto each time to see where the bad image is (although importing / deleting / re-syncing may vary well resolve the issue).

Yes I am looking in the app store. When I look in Itunes on my computer and look at purchased apps it is there. And when I go on my other device and look at apps purchased all apps are there.
The new ipad doesn't show any apps purchased when I click on apps purchased and when I search the app store it doesn't show it is purchased. Apps not migrated from iPad 2 to new iPad

I just got the new iPad. I am using an iPad 2 already. How do I migrate my apps and data from the iPad 2 to the new iPad?
Here's what I tried last night and the results:
1) Connect the iPad 2 to my MacBook Pro.
2) Wait for complete sync and backup to finish
3) Eject iPad 2 and turn off.
4) Start new iPad and during configuration process, connect to MacBook via USB to restore from backup when prompted
5) Wait 2-3 hours
6) Check new iPad for results. Become bitter disappointed to find the following:
2285 out of 2384 songs transferred. Question 1) How do I figure out what is missing? I don't like losing 99 songs!
8 out 81 videos transferred. When I go into the "Video" app, there are 0 files. I am not sure how Apple is counting 8. Question 2) I can't find a "videos" heading in iTunes. These might be on another computer. If I find the video files, how do I add them back in iTunes and where will they show up in iTunes after I re-add them?
728 out of 728 photos transferred. I am grateful something went smoothly! Why aren't the rest this easy!
0 out 509 apps transferred. Ouch! This hurts! So I checked my settings on the iPad 2 in iTunes. On the Apps tab, the "Sync Apps" box is unchecked. Don't ask me why. When I check the box, I get a scary message "Are you sure you want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data will be replaced with apps from this iTunes library." Question 3) How do I get my apps and their data from the iPad 2 to the new iPad without losing anything?
I got burned horribly with iCloud losing my data. After that I wasn't sure I'd ever buy another Apple product. After a LOT of trial and error, I was able to recover my data from iCloud, so here I go again. Why can't this be simple?!!! Thanks in advance for any help!

Are the iPads the same size (16GB, 32, 64GB)?
If you are using iCloud, on the iPad 2 go to Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Backup Now
After the iPad 2 finishes backup, you can restore your new iPad with your latest iCloud backup, make sure you are using the same Apple ID on both devices.
