New iPad with the same account as older one
I will buy a new iPad mini for my son. Currently, I have iPad2 with several payed apps and games among other. I would like to keep new iPad with the same account and to transfer only games to new iPad. In that case I would like to be responsible for buying new apps for both iPads. Also, I would like to know could I backup two iPads to the same computer and same iTunes library?
As you said, Family Sharing would need iOS 8 on both iPads. You can go to the App Store and click on each app in your purchases, to check that each of your necessary apps are compatible with iOS 8, but the vast majority will be so that should not be too much of a concern. The easiest way for you to carry out this entire operation is through Family Sharing, once both iPads are on iOS 8, all you would have to do is go into the App Store from the new iPad and click "purchases" which will now show your name as a family member and allow access to all your previously purchased apps that allow family sharing, including the games. Again, in App Store you can check that each of the game apps allow Family Sharing, by touching on the icon of the app and scrolling to the details area it will say "Family Sharing: Yes/No". It will be free to download any previous purchases to the new iPad. To answer your other question, yes you can back up two iPads to the same iTunes Library, they have different serial numbers and are recognized as separate devices, for ease of use it is recommended to uncheck automatic syncing on the new device for music, photos, and more. I received an email about new updates for my PC. Anyway I noticed that I think all or some of the updates have the same version as the previous drivers.
So why is that?Actually the 'Date last modified' is different.

Very easily. I have an iPod touch and iPad on the same account with totally different content.
If you use iTunes, connect each iPad to your computer and open iTunes and deselect any automatic updating/syncing. If you don't sync with iTunes but have them set up independently, under the settings, App Store, turn off automatic downloads for apps, etc.
I'm old fashioned, I set up and sync my iPad and iPod to my computer and iTunes. Each device has a different name and I manage content manually and only allow sharing on what I want shared. -

If you set up a new account on your iPhone you won't have access to all the data associated with the prior Apple ID.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.

Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -

Your question doesn't make a lot of sense without a little more information. You can't transfer a video from the phone to the iPad by connecting the devices. There are WiFi transfer apps that will let you send a video from one device to another one. I get the feeling that isn't what you are really asking though because that has absolutely nothing to do with your Apple ID.
If you want to download the same purchased movie to the iPad that you downloaded to the phone, go to the purchased tab of the iTunes Store on the iPad. Tap the Movies Button. Tap Not on this iPad. Find the movie and tP the cloud icon next to the movie icon and start downloading.
You must be signed into the same ID on the iPad that you bought the movie with on the iPhone. -
My 2005 iMac (which can't be updated to Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion and so is stuck with iTunes 10) has thousands of my songs, over 80GB of music mostly from CDs and other uploads/downloads. In 2008 we got an iMac for the family room; somehow although we have the same iTunes account for that computer, we started fresh with no tracks, and built up its own library for family use. Now we've bought two iPhones which aren't recognized by the '08 iTunes/Mac OS, so I want to upgrade the '08 iMac (the only one I can) and I have the Snow Leopard software to do so.
But I'm concerned that once the two computers have different versions of iTunes, I will lose the ability to home-share the music library from the '05 iMac on the '08 iMac, and because of that I won't be able to store any of my older Mac's tracks on the iCloud or access them on my iPhone. (Of course I don't want to have to pay for 80GB+ on the cloud!)
Has anyone got two versions of iTunes on two computers with the same account and are you able to home-share together and access tracks on your iPhones from an older version?
What do Apple users recommend? I'm thinking my best bet might be to combine the two libraries, which as I said are on the same account, but I don't know how to go about doing this. How much time would it take with 80GB? (I could probably do without 15% or 20% of those tracks, but it's still a lot, I don't know if it's instantaneous or if it uploads each track one at a time, I can imagine that taking two days.)
The older Mac's tracks, the 80GB, are the ones I really want, it took years to collect and upload all that, finding photos for some of the more esoteric albums/songs, etc. The newer Mac only has 2.5GB in its iTunes and I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing if I had to reload those, if the 80GB library had to wipe out the 2.5GB one.

The Libraries are kept in the user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on each account. However, I do use multiple iTunes Libraries on my Account1. One of the Libraries I use in Account1 is on a separate internal HD. However, the other Libraries I use in Account1 are stored in user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on the main HD (which hosts both Account1 and Account2). It doesn't seem to matter whether I am using an iTunes Library on an external drive or the main drive in Account1, I still get the same problem: only account1 library will load. AppleTV sees that the Account2 Library is there, but it won't load it.

I think I know the problem because I've had it myself. I didn't upgrade iWorks on my iPad, but after Apple made changes to iCloud (concurrent with Mavericks) any docs passing through it were modified and made unreadable. Even though, as you say, they were created on my iPad using the previous version of iOS Pages, which I didn't upgrade.
iCloud is the culprit, if your iPad settings had iCloud>Documents & Data enabled, the docs were modified and disabled in the cloud.
I made a further mistake. After I saw this happening, I didn't think to turn off auto updates, and Apple pushed the new version of iOS Pages onto my iPad. The result was that ALL my docs disappeared from the iPad, and from iCloud.com also. I have not been able to recover them.
I've been talking to the Pages engineering team about it. If they come up with an answer, I'll post it here. Meanwhile, get those older files backed up somewhere safe if you can. -
I have a IPhone 5 and Iphone 5s, each phone is activited with a different service provider. Both are set up with the same account ID and running IOS 8.0.2. When the phones are connected to the same Wifi at home, both phones will ring when someone call in to one of the phone. Hence you do not know exactly which line the caller called. If you answered using the wrong phone, then anyone calling the other number will not get through. Anyway to solve this problem?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your devices are set up to use continuity together. Specifically, it sounds like you are signed into the same Apple ID in FaceTime, and have iPhone Cellular Calls enabled. To resolve your issue, simply disable this setting:

Sorry to ask, how do I do it please. I have my first ipod with the same account on both computers that have different libraries one of which I am building now. Do I have to de-authorise my original ipod on the computer that I want to use my new ipod on with the new library and then register my new ipod. I would rather do this than have 2 libraries on one itunes, but keep the same account details.

Previously iChat had tried a Last Chat/IM option when using Saved Transcripts - which itself was an option.
iChat has also tried "Saving" the Last Chat by leaving a Chat window open and using something similar to the Lion method of showing an app in the state is was closed in.
In Messages the option to Save Transcripts has been removed and Chats or all types are saved as a matter of course.
What this tends to mean for your iChat style Buddy Chats is that it opens all the Transcripts for that buddy as a sort of History you can scroll back through if you want (I have some Buddies with saved chats gong back to 2004)
With the Syncing of iMessages with iPhones and iPads (or Touches) then it seems this works slightly differently.
Although you can delete the chat and the contents of the Chat as separate action it is true that in the Beta as soon as you connect to the same Contact that the contents of the previous chats are shown to you.
I have found that Messages stores a data base of info on iMessages in Your Home Folder/Library/Messages
I have found that deleting this chat-db removes the "History" that keep popping up.
By default the Saved "iChats" are also stored in the Home Folder/Documents/iChats (At least this is the default place iChat used and they go to the same iChats folder where ever you had it)
Some people claim removing iMessages saved here stops the "History" reappearing.
In Lion the only access to the Home Folder/Library is via the Finder's Go Menu and hiding down the ALT key
