New iPad won't accept my appleid so I'm stuck in "setup" mode... help !

I can login to icloud on my mac and my iphone so I know my login and password are correct.
but I it won't accept my appleid on my new ipad
so I'm stuck in "setup" mode...
help>!

ok I logged into itunes (with a different id) on my desktop and it seems to work now! yikes... problem is I have an apple id AND an itunes account attached to hotmail from 10years ago haven't figured out to turn it into one!
thanks for the reply... and shout out...
made me walk away and try again so I'm not staring at a $500 shiny useless box!

    Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button.     Yes I have put in the correct password, its all numbers so can't get it wrong really.
    It has connected before as has my iPod and that won't connect either. I have checked that they aren't on the blocked list of the wi fi. Managed to download the new version of iOS and that hasn't made a difference.
    I have the wi fi plugged directly into the computer rather than the booster hub as the computer won't connect to it when its in the hub. I did get the iPad to connect to the internet when it twas in the hub but once I upgraded the iOS it won't accept the wifi password in the hub either.

    Was the FCS on your old machine an upgrade? You will need to enter your original, full version serial first, and then you will be prompted for the upgrade serial number.

    Go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, restart your Mac then go back and sign back in.  Note: this only removes the iCloud data from your Mac but not from iCloud.  Your data will reappare on your Mac when you sign back in, after a brief delay as it redownloads.

    Turn Bluetooth off in Settings > General > Bluetooth
    Having Bluetooth enabled while using Wi-Fi can cause interference.
    Now tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    Restart the iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Make sure Wi-Fi is switched on.

    usually when you get that message "you account have never been used in itunes store" you just need to review your information and update what they want to have on your file and once you do that you can use account.

    I have a new iPad running iOS 6.01.  It connects to wifi networks perfectly.  I also own a Blackberry 9790 that is capable of running a wifi hotspot.  When I try to connect my iPad to the mobile hotspot when WPA or WPA2 Encryption is used the iPad cannot connect.  If I change the Encrypstion to WEP I am able to connect the iPad and wifi works on it.
    Is there a reason the new iPad won't connect to a mobile hotspot that's using WPA/WPA2?  Is there a way to resolve this issue?
    I am able to connect my MacBook Pro to the mobile hotspot using WPA/WPA2 so I know that it's not my phone or the hotspot not working properly.

    It appears as though I fixed my own problem...I hadn't yet tried restarting my blackberry or my iPad since I had been trying to setup the mobile hotspot and connect the iPad.  Anyways, I restarted both devices and then tried connecting using WPA/WPA2 and it worked.
    iPad is now connecting to my mobile hotspot using WPA/WPA2 with no problems.
    Maybe try doing the same if you haven't.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
