New iPad won't send emails

I have a new ipad and it will not send email. I get a message "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in you Outbox. The recipient ****@*****.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying" Is there a way to fix this? We have problems similiar to this with a pc and we changed the port setting. This ipad is set to port 110 and when you change it to something else I get another error message saying that the email account setting are wrong, Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

TCP port 110 is used to receive e-mail using POP.
The error message you saw was when you tried to send e-mail.
I assume (because you didn't supply technical details) that you send e-mail using SMTP via TCP port 25.
If you try to send e-mail via an ISP that doesn't know you, they will in almost all instances reject your request.

  • IPad won't send emails but iPhone does. iPad message says server does not recognise email address resetting account makes no difference what else can I try?,

My iPad won't send emails despite identical settings with iPhone which does work. " server does not recognise email address" resetting account fails to solve issue. What else can I try?

Have you checked ALL the settings including the port assignments? Easiest way to get those back to is to delete the email account from the iPad then redo the email account. Usually the ISP providing the email account will have instructions on their web site.

  • New iPad won't send out emails on VerizonLTE or 3G network, but will do so on wi-fi - help?

Been through the wringer on this one. Verizon or local cable  co. have not helped. New iPad will not send out emails while in LTE or 3g, but will do so in wi-fi. Have checked settings, restarted, reset settings, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, I have an iPhone with Verizon and it sends out emails with exactly the same settings as the iPad while on 3g. This has been nuts.

    Hi all:
Just found the answer to this thanks to Chris CA. In outgoing email settings, for some reason, the new iPad must have username and password entered even though it says optional. Once I entered that data, emails sent right out! The Verizon techs or my cable co. techs never suggested doing so after many hours of troubleshooting. This forum always has the real "experts". Thanks again, Chris.

  • IPad won't send email messages

iPad will not send email messages. I'm able to receive message. The error message I keep getting is. The email has been rejected by server. It's my own email address that I'm trying to send a message to.

I am not giving a solution but adding to the problem! My IPhone & IPad have both got the same email account (BT) they have all the same settings. The iPhone sends & receives mail perfectly well but now for some reason the iPad will not send mail?? It still receives mail.
I have tried master resets and re-installing account settings. Nothing works!!
    Can anyone help please?

  • New 9720 won't send emails

    Hi All,
I've set up my home email (webmail) on my 9720 and received a successful activation message.  I have manually registered to the network and received a successful registration message.
I can now receive emails but can't send.  (Although the 'sent' folder in my webmail shows the message sent from my phone).
I have deleted and re-sent service books, taken the battery out for more than a minute and replaced it, etc,  Same problem.
Am I getting the sequence wrong?  Have I done it too many times and confused the thing?
    Helena

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
It sounds like you have done most of these things, but perhaps not in the actual sequence that is usually recommended. Therefore, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you could try your carriers BIS website to conduct the account integration and see if it can succeed where the on-device integration does not seem to.
Alternatively, it is possible that your webmail service is providing incorrect data via the wizard (which, barring any information from you to the contrary, I am assuming you are using). If that is the case (we can only guess, we cannot "know"), then you'd want to do Advanced Integration and provide all of the settings manually. You can contact your webmail provider for the correct settings, look at a different email client that is functioning correctly, or try to use the EAVT to find the proper settings to use:
Article ID: KB33444 How to use the Email Account Validation Tool (EAVT)
Otherwise, contact your mobile service provider for formal support...sometimes they can succeed at integrating an email account where other methods fail. But do keep in mind that there is no such thing as "universal compatibility"...while rare, there certainly are email systems out there that are not compatible with BB devices/BIS.
Good luck and let us know!

Did Earthlink have you try using their authenticated SMTP server?
If not, try changing Earthlink's SMTP server settings to the following:
    SMTP Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Server Port: 25 or 587. Assuming Earthlink is your ISP, 25 should work.
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Off or not selected.
Authentication Type: MD5 Challenge-Response. Not sure if this authentication type is available with 10.2 and if not, select Password.
User Name: Your entire Earthlink email address.
Password: The password for your Earthlink email account - the same password used to check the incoming mail server for new messages.

  • Calendar won't send email reminders since updating to Mavericks?

Since upgrading to OS Mavericks Calendar won't send email reminders.
I have been able to set them.  But they don't actually send.
I have visited multiple sites and discussions and attempted the suggestions posted there but nothing seems to help.  I have even contact Apple feedback, and still haven't heard back from anyone.
Just to clarify, i have attempted the following fixes:
    - Adjusted email settings to ensure iCloud ermail account is properly set up
    - Adjusted reminder settings in calendar to ensure the reminders should send
    - ensured that "My Card" is properly set up in Contacts
I can't seem to find anything else to help?  Anyone have any ideas?

I am haivng the same issue too.
According to some other posts, I deleted and readded the "Me" record in the address book. When creating a new calender entry I set it to send email. When the notification pops up it's just a normal alert and no email.
    Any ideas?

  • My ipad doesn't send emails because it says the server does not allow relaying. What is relaying?

My ipad doesn't send emails. Message says the server does not allow relaying. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

    Copied from here.
    http://appletoolbox.com/2012/01/server-does-not-allow-relaying-email-error-fix/
    How to fix
If this is an AOL issue, try these: go Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select your AOL.com account > SMTP from the Account Info Page > SMTP from the SMPT Page > make sure that the Server is ON, make sure that the Host Name is smtp.aol.com. Further make sure your username and password are correct and added in the Outgoing Mail server; make sure that Authentication is set to Password and make sure that Server Port is 587
If this is not an AOL email: go Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts >Account Info > SMPT> turn off primary server, turn on other (e.g. AT&T) SMTP server.
Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Your Account > Outgoing mail Server SMTP > Primary Server then turn Server ON and fill in both User Name and Password under Outgoing Mail Server.
