New iPhone 4 8gb storage questions!!!!
My mom just ordered me a iPhone 4 which is in the 8gb. I love music and im basically worried I won't be able to download all of my music. I understand that I can find ways to take stuff off my iPhone and add more things, but I don't know how. I also am just worried in general. Please help!!! Give me your feedback on iPhone 4 and the whole 8gb situation. Thank you so much!!!! :):)
While the 8GB phone does not have a lot of capacity for storage of music, there are a number of other options, such as iCloud to hold some of the music. While waiting for the phone, why not check out the User Guide for information at http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

I know that iCloud backs-up apps and other stuff to your phone incase you want restore from a back-up if you start a New iPhone. My question is if I start a new iPhone (not use the restore from back-up option) and redownload apps like (Games, Instagram), would my pics show up on Instagram and would my Games show it was saved and the acccomplisments will remain from the last place I left out.

Icloud or itunes backup, only backs up app data, not the app itself.
so if you restore as new, then there is no app data on your phone, you start out new... -
Getting wife a new iphone..backup questions
Not too good in using itunes. My wife has an iphone and my limit to itunes is putting some songs on my ipod.
I want to surprise my wife with a new iphone this week and before I get her a new one I want to make sure I save all of her content and most importantly phone numbers because I actually want to clear it out before going to the verizon store because I want to transfer her old iphone to my daughters # and have her start using it.
So I guess my questions are...
How do I first backup all of my wife's content on her phone (phone numbers and photos) ?
After I back it up is there an easy one step process to clear the phone out of everything so I can have my daughter start using it?
Once I bring the new phone home, how do I get the phone #'s onto it that I backed up previously?

I don't know for certain, but I venture to say Apple will come out with a new iPhone at some point.

The original iPhone was release in the summer of 2007.
The iPhone 3G was released in the summer of 2008.
The iPhone 3GS was released in the summer of 2009.
The iPhone 4 was released in the summer of 2010.
Based on this, it would be a fairly safe assumption that the next generation iPhone will be released this summer, but there is no way to know for certain until Apple makes an announcement.

Which supported calendar app on your computer are you syncing calendars and calendar events with?
With iCal on my Mac, I have two calendars - one personal and one business along with a US Holidays subscribed calendar. I have each calendar colored differently. The dot for a calendar event with each calendar matches the color for the calendar. -
I am using my iPhone for much of my photography while travelling overseas. I am receivibg a message to say my storage is full and I need to take action.
I have increased my iCloud storage and have heaps of space. But still receive the "full" message. Is the iPhone storage not linked to iCloud? If it is, what is causing the full message? Or, what am I missing?

New iphone and itunes question

I just upgraded to the 4s from a 3gs. I have synched the new phone itunes. it all seems to be ok except that itunes seems to think that my phone is new every time i connect it. it brings up the lets get started screen. when i go into icloud and send my phone a test message it goes to the old on even though the number i am using for the new phone is the same i used for the old one. so im not sure where i am going wrong. it seems like itunes does not see my new phone as my primary device.
any help is appreciated!We've run into the "authorization loop" problem with iPhone syncing as well. After moving the user account to the new MacBook Pro, iTunes keeps asking us to authorize the computer, then tells us that it is already authorized (which it should be). When you click "ok" to the already authorized message, it pops up with a new request to authorize the computer.
This was a minor problem with songs purchased with iTunes, but now if we sync the iPhone on the new laptop, it says it will delete all the apps and their data unless we authorize the computer. But we run into the same loop described above. This is a real problem, and if anyone can point me to a good working solution, I'd appreciate it. I hope Apple is listening! -

So your backup is gone.
But of course you still have your iPhone that was backed up originally, so it would still have all its content. -
I have a new iphone and want to purchase ringtones from itunes. Itunes is asking answers for security questions I did not set up and I can't answer them. How do I get past this to be able to purchase. I can purchase songs on my MAC and sync but itunes doesn't give the option to purchase ringtones on the MAC, just the iphone.

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

In order to get those to work you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

I forgot all of the answers to my security questions and when I set up my apple id I did not add a rescue email, I recently got a new iphone and I cannot purchase anything on it because it asks me to answer my security questions which i can't reset because I do not have a rescue email. what do I do?
this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

I am a new iPhone 5s user. I like many of the features it offers. I don't like that I cannot talk and use the internet (if I am away from WI-FI) and this phone is too small. I am actually thinking of returning it and going back to an Android. After all the hassle it took to get all my stuff working on this phone , it may be worth the switch. This phone needs to be able to multitask freely in this day and age. Also Safari is not the best search engine but I could work with it if I could talk and use it at the same time. I use my phone for business and this is a feature that is needed in my line of work.

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

i have a new iphone 5c and i cant get past the security questions. i made my apple account a while ago with an old email. i created a new apple id with my new email but i dont use it. How do i terminate the account with my new email so i can replace my old email? If i reset my security questions will it delete all my stuff?
You can't delete an iTunes account, but you should be able to change the email address that is on it e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, or via http://appleid.apple.com - you should then be able to put it on your old account.
For your security questions on your old account, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on that account then the steps half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address or don't have access to that email account (you won't be able to add one or change it until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add or update your rescue email address for potential future use
Resetting an account's security questions shouldn't affect any of the purchases that you've made on the account. -
I just got my new iphone and I gave my phone the same apple ID as my iPod. Then I added $40 to my iTunes thinking that I could buy songs freely. When I went to go buy an album it said that I needed to answer some security questions to complete the purchase. So I clicked yes and it brought me to two questions that I totally forgot the answers to so I hit the link that said if you forgot your answers click here. I clicked it and it brought me to this website that you see all your information about your apple ID. So I went to privacy and security and the same two questions were there. I tried and didn't succeed. I even sent myself the email and I have been trying this for days on end and still never received any emails about those questions. So I thought what if I create a new apple ID then mabe I could transfer ONLY the money over, is this possible?? Because I would hate to see forty dollars go to total waste.
