New Iphone 5 - can send emails but not sync any other information

I have just tried adding an exchange email account to a new iphone5 and I go through the steps to verify which all works then once set up is complete I can only send emails but not receive them also not able to see outlook file tree or any contacts or calendar appointments.
I have 2 other iphones working - 1 iphone 4 and 1 iphone 5.
Any suggestions?

More than likely, you use outlook or similar application on your computer for email and it is just not leaving a copy of the message on the mail server.

Your mail server doesn't like the sender's address for some reason, perhaps because his mail server has been blacklisted for spamming.

Ipad mini can send email but NOT reply to email

This problem started a couple weeks ago, until then all worked fine.
MY ipad mini can send emails without a problem, but I am unable to reply to any email. I have checked my settings and they match my iPhone 4s settings, which doesn't have this problem.
this is an ipad mini wi-fi only model
i get a pop up saying " a copy of the message has been sent to your outbox. Unable to send content to the server" or something like that.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Since moving from mobile me to icloud my iphone mail box has had serious issues. I can send emails from my account but cannot receive emails. My icloud account on my mac works just find, the problem is only on my iphone four. I have tried everything from deleting account, rebooting and system restore on the phone nothing seems to work. Please help!!

I can send email but not receive on my iphone 3GS. Emails to my .me address are OK but not emails to the address hosted by Network Solutions. NS have checked my settings twice. I am using IMAP. Is this a problem with iCloud?

I use IMAP email hosted by Network Solutions for my main email address. I can send and receive this OK in my Mac Mail on my MAC book and also on webmail. However my iphone doesn't receive these emails but it can send. I have checked settings on my iphone twice with Network Solutions but no luck. Emails addressed to my .me address are received OK. I have a suspicion this problem started when I signed up to icloud.
my ISP is BTconnect

Useful suggestions. In fact I had already deleted and re-entered the account details a few days ago without apparent success. The error message was along the lines of "cannot access the server".
Anyway about an hour after your message, my emails started coming through after a 6 month gap! - makes me think someone at Network Solutions monitors these discussions.

i have a macbook with leopard and have recently updated everything. for some reason my mail program became worthless. i dont receive any email anymore. out of the blue. i have internet and i looked at the ports and they are still default. i have no idea why this happened.

hey do you think it could have something to do with my landlord lady putting up another firewall. because frostwire and my torr. downloader dont work either. could that mess up my mail forwarding? because i tried Thunderbird from mozilla and it had the same problem.

Why am I getting error"403" when I enter an Apple appointment via one to one or Apple confirmation email, but not on any other ical icon non apple additions?

Whenever I add a one to one Apple class from my one to one site and click the ical icon, I get the following error message. I also get it when I click on the ical icon from the Apple email confirming my appointment to add to my calendar on my Mac Book Pro. But, when I clcik an ical icon from say, Open Table, for a reservation I do not get the error. At the Apple store, they tried it and saw they got the same erro on their laptops as well. I notified as did the Apple store over two weeks ago, but nothing has changed.

Can send email but cannot receive on exchange account

My .mac account, gmail account, and yahoo account work flawlessly on my iphone. My work account, however, does not. My employer has his iphone working fine and my settings are the same but for some reason I can't receive email. I have no problem sending email from the account with the iphone, only receiving. Anyone have any ideas?
I have tried setting it up via the "exchange" option (entering mail servers, login, and password) and get the following:
1. Cannot connect using SSL (I proceed without it)
2. Cannot get mail. The user name or password is incorrect. IMAP support must be enabled. (which it is because my employer connects without issue).
3. I save the account despite the warnings and can send email but not receive.

I am having the same problem with both my work and Yahoo accounts. At least to the work account I am positive that the settings are the same as a co-worker using an iTouch to access his email. I have re-entered the settings a minimum of 10 times and the IT department has tried no less than 5 times. The error message remains the same. I could understand incorrectly entering the settings once or twice, but not separate people entering it 15 times. There is something else wrong with the iPhone software.

My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite.

i assume the email account is your iCloud email account. have you tried turning off settings > iCloud > mail, restarting the phone and then re-enabling mail again.

Since last night I can open email but not the body of it, nor can I type anything in a new message. Everything else looks normal.
