New iphone 5 can't connect to itunes store. No other error, password is correct.
I just upgraded to an iPhone 5 and I restored my phone from my computer. I was going to update my apps and I couldn't connect to the App Store. I tried signing out and signing back in but it wouldn't let me sign in again. I also tried setting the date a year ahead and signing in then set it back to automatically and tried signing in with no luck. I would like to be able to access the App Store but everything I've tried has failed. Is there some way this issue can be resolved?
Also A good number of apps that I had on my iPhone 4 were missing after I restored my iPhone 5. I backed up my iPhone 4 on my computer before I got the iPhone and I know those apps were backed up but they didn't get restored.

"Cannot connect to Itunes Store". I have been able to connect to the Itunes and App store on the Iphone but as of yet have not been able to download any apps.
I really don't know what is wrong. I cant even sign in to my Apple Account in Settings as the same error message comes up.I'm having the same problem with both my iPhone 5 and my third-gen iPad. It started as an intermittent problem but today I cannot connect at all. I've tried the various "fixes" such as changing the date forward and back. iOS is up to date so that's not the issue either. I've shut off the devices and restarted. No change. This is enormously frustrating. I wanted to test an app for work but cannot get it, nor can I update existing apps. Did I mention how enormously frustrating this is??

Hi everyone - I purchased a new iphone 5s yesterday and synced it to my itunes library with no issues. The software update was completed to ios 7.0.4 and everything seemed to be going ok! That was until I tried to access the itunes store via my phone - it continues to load and never ever connects to the store. I have no problems accessing the apps store - please help as this is really fustrating me.

If you're not able to connect to the iTunes Store, try these steps first:
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

New iPhone will not connect to iTunes Store. Not able to activate
I bought my iPhone 3 weeks ago from an AT&T store and use it everyday. It works fine. I bought one for my wife 2 days ago from the same AT&T store and it does not work. After spending 2 + hours on the phone with Apple level 1 and 2 support, the final diagnosis is a bad sim card. (Apple phone support was very good and very professional) They are in process of sending me a box to mail the iPhone in for service and I am confidant they will fix the problem. I am disappointed, however, the iPhone did not work out of the box and I now have to wait for service on a brand new iPhone.
Has anyone experienced the following problem?
When connected to iTunes, the iPhone is not able to connect to the iTunes store and I receive the following error message, "We could not complete your iTunes request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active." I was not able to activate it.
The iPhone screen itself shows the iTunes logo and the sync connector. iTunes does not give me the ability to activate the phone nor make any changes to it. iPhone shows up in the device listing, but that is it. There are no settings in iTunes for making changes or setting up the new phone.
When I plug my iPhone into the computer, everything works fine. The new iPhone does not. I tried everything Apple recommended including: Resetting the phone and deleting / reinstalling iTunes, but nothing worked. So, here I am waiting for service on a brand new iPhone that I have paid for and am paying for monthly service, but cannot use. Kind of stinks...

New computer - can't connect to Itunes store

I've tried everything and still cannot connect to the Itunes Store.
I have new computer which has updated operating system and current versions of everything, including itunes.
I loaded my library into itunes (have on an external hard drive) and it copied fine. When I try to log into itunes, my id and password appear to be accepted but then I get the error message:
We could not complete your iTunes Store Request
the ITunews Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
I have gone through everything recommended on the apple site:
iTunes and Safari are up-to-date and restarted.
all software is up-to-date and restarted.
firewall isn't an issue.
i'm a system administrator, no limitations, not an issue.
did keychain repair, not an issue.
internet is working fine on laptop as well as tablet and phone.
date and time are correct.
it all worked fine on my older laptop and i find it incredibly frustrating when I get the newer model and it doesn't work. I'm open to any suggestions here!
thanks - erinnRun itunes diagnostics it will tell you if windows firewall is a problem, but usually it is not. And if diagnostics will say it is not, try to disable your antivirus(es) and see then if you can connect. Stop reinstalling itunes without disabling that security/antivirus beforehand.

New iMac can't connect to iTunes store.
When I click on the iTunes store it tells me that it is "...temporarily unvailable. Please try again later".
Which I did...many times...but I'm still not getting access.
iMac is online just fine, and my laptop and iPod Touch can get into the store, but not my brand new iMac.

thanks...Yes, there are currrently, numerous reports of iTunes store outages. Apple's System Status page shows all systems go (colored green), however, many other iTunes Store users - especially ones in other countries are reporting problems/outages/unavailability, etc... with the iTunes Store. The reports are just starting to go viral in the mainstream media.

I get a Message on iPhone 4S, "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store." How can I access iTunes Store? Yes, I am WiFi connected.
Well folks I finally got my "can't connect to iTunes" issues fixed. Seems that there was an unauthorized change to my email address and account therefore not allowing mr to connect to iTunes.
Here is how I got it fixed.
1. Contacted iTunes store support
2. Followed their instructions and replyed with the following info:
An order number from one of my purchases
Last 4 digits of the c.c. Used for the iTunes store acct
Answer to one of my security questions
And 2 items from this list.
Birthdate
Billing address for Acct
Phone number on acct
It was after all of this that they saw that someone had made an account modification back in February when the issue began. Seems they changed my email address just slightly and that is what kept me from being able to sign in and not a password issue. This was likely due to a phishing email that came out in conjunction with iCloud asking users to change their passwords to a more secure form by adding a capital and number.
To get all of this cleared up it took about 4 days as we emailed back and forth. I also needed a seperate email address they could use to send me info. Once they determined the issues and went to get them fixed by changing the email address associated with the acct and I created a new password I was able to access iTunes with no issues and even my previously thought lost acct balance was there.

I can not connect to iTunes store from my mobile divices. I can through iTunes on my Macbook Pro running Leopard (10.6.8). My company has not authorized update to Lion yet.
I have the same problem on my iPhone and iPad 1. This has occured since updating to IOS 5.0.1, but I do not know if it is the cause or just a coincidence.
Since I can make purchases through my Macbook and sync, it's not a crisis, but just an big irritation.Apple ID problems.
An additional consideration might be that I have had Apple ID problems. With the move to an ID for iCloud my old Apple ID and a new one using an email address got mixed up and in conflict. It took Apple Support staff to clean it up. For a few days, everything seemed to be running fine on my new/old/restored single ID. I did not think this was a problem, because the error sited a connection problem not an ID or password problem. Could this be a factor? -

Try a location with a Non Secure WiFi -> As these locataions "typically" do not have a IT Guy to go to for questions regarding [Other Security WiFi Blocks]

Then try the steps below [Even with the others listed above]
Just because you may be able to get to a Secure and Non Secure Website on safari on the iphone does not mean the WiFi connection is "Perfect or ok" and I am not saying it is not.
Also take into effect servers for iTunes updates/Apps etc could be overloaded at that time.
You can also try a simple Hard Reset [Hold down Sleep/Wake button and Home button at same time - Once see Apple Logo release both buttons - Allow iphone to reset]
If have already tried these and have not contacted AppleCare Support try that too.
