New iPhone 5 didn't restore all of my apps and won't connect to App store

So I upgraded to an iPhone 5 today at Best Buy. Before I went I backed up my phone on my computer and when I restored my iPhone 5 I was missing a good number of apps (including all google apps) and I wasn't able to connect to the App store. I tried the trick of setting the date and time a year ahead and then setting it automatically to then connect to the App store but had no luck. I would like to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

If you cannot access the App Store, check out the article below for troubleshooting. It mentions iTunes Store but will beneficial for the App Store as well.
