New iphone 5s has random iTunes IDs on app updates
I got a new iphone 5s couple weeks ago (replacing 4s). Everything transferred fine but certain apps ask for random (non family members, unknown IDs) apple IDs to update them. This is happening with apps such as google maps, lose it, waze. There are at least 2 different unknown Apple IDs popping up and I am unable to update these apps. Have tried signing out and signing back in. Really annoying. Anyone have this happen with unknown IDs? Anyone know how to fix it?
Content is permanently tied to the Apple ID that it was acquired with.
There is no way around that.
If you actually purchased the content with your Apple ID, delete the entry in the iTunes library on the computer, then download it again from your purchase history.
If you did not actually purchase the content, either deal with it as is or purchase it with your ID.

Today I had to purchase a replacement iphone 4. I sync'd the old phone a few days back so I know what I had was updated. When I sync'd the new one, after about 10 mins it told me that there was not sufficient space on the phone for the sync. I was able to get my contacts, calendars, and email from icloud. If your replacement is the same size, just do a restore from backup again. Sounds like the first restore got corrupted.

Can I delete old backups from other devices if my new iphone 6 has a current backup with everything on my new phone?

I have got he new iphone 5 which requres itunes 7. My imac informs me that all updtes are up to date but this is not so! my itunes is not and I am currently on osx 10.5.8. why will it not update as usual?
Updates are free, what you need is an Upgrade...
First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.

By far the most common problem hardware-wise seems to be scuffs on the aluminium. Yours is the first report of a faulty screen I've seen.
If you use the same Apple ID on both devices it'll sync whatever you want it to - music/apps/photos/messages/etc.

I just got a replaced iphone and I checked back up on icloud, entered apple id and password. Now it says no backups available. You can set up as a new iphone or restore from an iTunes back up. What should I pick because I had checked back up with icloud and all of my info was supposed to be backed up?
You may need to update the software. For now, set up as a new iPhone and then go to Settings > General > Software Update. Update to the latest iOS (5.1.1), then go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to go through setup again and see if your backup appears.

Using Itunes, I copied all my apps from my Ipod touch to a new Iphone 4. Problem is all the apps on the Iphone are starting up like a new install. I would think my "password" app and "lose it" app would have the past data transferred to the Iphone. Is this not possible??

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings -
