New iPhone 6 PLUS major glitches, SMS, iMessage, Safari and other apps.
How come my brand new iPhone 6 PLUS keeps glitching?
I will open Messages and regardless if its an iMessage or not it will freeze within 15 seconds when it unfreezes it will catch up but the entire message will be incorrect. Every second or third time i message it will freeze and 8-12 seconds later it will crash the message app.
Also while using the phone in normal operation the iPhone will freeze (While scrolling usually) the entire touch digitiser will become inoperative.
I was told by Apple I have to Erase the entire phone and "Set up as a NEW PHONE" - Sorry Apple but thats never going to happen, how about you fix the software issue before you utter such ridiculous words to anyone else!
Also when i select a contact to message the contacts name will appear at the top of the screen (as you would expect) but only the last message you sent will be on the screen the entire thread will disappear. 5-10 seconds later they will appear and if you leave the phone alone or continue typing about 45-90 seconds later it happens again.
iPhone is restoring numbers I deleted with the contacts name however when you select the name to message - BOOM the name is gone and its just the number.
All my Apps freeze then crash its a nightmare it doesn't matter how many updates I do or the amount of restores.
Has anyone else found this? Because I think I found a solution Ill post it below...
So there is another thread on the forum about apps crashing and freezing on the iPhone 6 Plus.
The answer that fixed the problem involved turning off the Speak Page and Speech settings with in accessibility settings....
SETTINGS/ ACCESSIBILITY/ SPEECH
I turned off - Speak Selection and Speak Screens and made sure the rest were off.

Videos on my iPad are running 2x. I have restored every way possible but still no change. The videos are noticeably faster in Safari and other apps like my Fox News app. Sometimes I can change the speed back to normal by "scrubbing" the video, but that is inconsistent. First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes." -
My Iphone 4 is water damaged and won't work at all so I've bought a new Iphone 5c - can I get my messages and whats app chats from my old to my new phone - they have different sized sims?
There is nothing saved on the SIm card in an iphone. If you have a backup of the old phone restore that to the new phone

Brand new iPad mini 32GB LTE (Verizon) purchased on 1/7/13 is constantly crashing while on Safari and other apps. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do besides restoring it and rebooting it as I have already done so. Should i exchange it at the apple store for a new one? Any suggestions? Im still under the 14 day return policy.
Returning it is a way to go, obviously. Unless that's quick and convenient enough for you, you may try resetting it to factory settings first under Settings -> General -> Reset.
A new setup and sync (not restoring, to avoid the cause of the problem coming over again) might fix it once and forever. -
MBA connected to iPhone4 Personal Hotspot, but safari and other apps don't have internet connect
My new MBA is connected to my iPhone4 (show 1 connection), but when using Safari and other Apps, it always time out or display error message "no internet connect". Please assist. Thank you.
Do you have a program such as "Little Snitch" installed? If so, are its settings allowing the applications to connect?

Hello, my iPod touch is not working right. It says its connected but if I select App Store, safari and other apps that require wifi pops out a note saying either"error loading" or "cannot connect to iTunes Store" and would exit the app automatically. Please help.

I am frustrated because I have goodled and tried everything. Safari and other apps on my MacBook Pro are loading very slowly. This was not the case about a month ago. When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

Crashing my safari and other apps frequently

I am facing the the same problems for months, My safari and other apps are crashing frequently and sometimes my phone is also hanged. Its very hard to work. sometimes touch is too slow and work after few seconds, what should I do for these? could you please tell me.

You could see if the following help. Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could see if turning off iCloud and multitasking gestures on the iPad help -

I recently purchased an iPhone 5c and for some unknown reason I can't connect to my wireless router's network at home. I've tried establishing a seperate IP address, manually adding the iPhone device, and even spent an hour with Centurylink's IT support and they couldn't figure it out. They said it was an iPhone error. I had an iPhone 3 about 1 1/2 years ago that had the same problem. I ended up getting rid of the phone because I couldn't solve this problem before. I thought a newer phone would not have the same problem.
My phone shows that I'm connected to my home internet, but when I open up network information for my home internet there is no IP Address listed. Safari and my other apps also state that I'm not connected to the internet. I'm ready to sell my phone back and go to an Android since I didn't have trouble connecting with it before. We also have a Macbook and iPad that both connect to the internet just fine. Safari and other apps reload when switched to from some other app.
Okay so i have safari, twitter and facebook apps opened and i am currently updating twitter. In between i jump to facebook by twice pressing the home button on my iPhone 4s running iOS7. What happens now is that facebook reloads and i am shown my home page even when i was on a friends fb page. I switch back to twitter and now twitter app reloads and show me the homepage and not the search i was doing earlier. I jumped to safari to search for this and safari app reloads and a page that i had earlier opened gets reload..
This is what is happening with all the applications. Is this normal? I have already disable background app refresh option in settings.Apple does not tell you that IO7 64bit is memory hungry and the memory on iphone/ipads are 1GB . Basically the iOS7 is running out of memory and reloading apps otherwise os will hang. Apple ***** for not informing their users also current devices come with 1GB memory and they never disclose it at any of their events going to 64bit the forgot basic concepts , they are becoming a fashion company not a technology any more.

Safari and other apps crash constantly. Why?
Safari and many other apps crash constantly - the screen just goes black and then back to the home screen. Is this a common problem?
1. Double-click the Home button to see all Inactive Apps in Task Bar
2. Hold the Apps down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close App
4. Tap center of screen to return to Home Screen
5. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider -
I've double clicked the home button and closed all other apps other than the one I'm using. That doesn't seem to help. Is there something else I can do?
When you close all of apps in the recents tray, it might help if you restart the iPad or maybe even reboot it like this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
For Safari specifically, this might help as well. I would recommend restarting the iPad after clearing Safari.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
Safari and other apps haven't seemed to update with Yosemite
I have updated to Yosemite on my late-2011 13-inch macbook. The software seems to be installed, i.e. the app store says it is and iTunes has changed icons, etc. but many of my apps have remained the same. Safari and messages, for example, have not changed at all.
Is there any logical reason for this? How can I resolve it?

That means you didn't update to Yosemite yet. Maybe you've downloaded it, so now you have to go to your Applications folder and double click the "Install OS X Yosemite" icon.
Follow the instructions and you'll be done.
But before you do it, backup your Mac and repair disc permissions.

New problem with PDF's, especially in Safari and other browsers (?)
I've had several PDF documents on my web site for several years. Today, a visitor brought it to my attention that several of these will not display properly in web browsers. It appears that the older ones display properly, but the new ones have problems. After successfully viewing them on my computer locally, I have reloaded all of them, to insure that they weren't corrupted.
I'm a Mac user with the latest system software, and a brand new installation (re-done, for safety) of Reader 7.0.5 Having read through many PDF-issue forums before posting, I can assure you that I have no unusual or "wrong" system settings. This problem only began recently. On clicking a link ( for example, http://www.nextcraft.com/media/dflitems/dfl1.8.pdf ) Safari reports "Plug-in cancelled" and then as you scroll the document, there are other reports, including font-missing reports for fonts NOT used in the document.
When I download these documents, instead of viewing them in a browser, I still get error reports, although they appear to display properly. It sounds like a font issue, but it seems to be out of my control, since the error reports state errors with fonts that I did not select for the documents.
These files were created from both "TextEdit" and "Pages", with the default PDF fonts... nothing that should cause such a problem. I have used the "Export" command to save this, as well as the "Print to PDF" option, but the same problems remain, and my viewers and I are both becoming frustrated.
This is a known issue, so do any of you know the answer?Thanks.
This is frustrating, because i'm an long-time Mac user, and familiar with all the usual system and software settings. I've been producing "perfect" PDF's for years, and suddenly, without me changing anything, this problem pops up. The "Plug-in cancelled" report doesn't help track the error, so I'm at a loss as to what else to check.
I can tell you this though, since I just went through the process yesterday. I re-wrote this document several times in Pages, and got much worse errors than the insignificant one that remains in the current (TextEdit-produced) version. The Pages-produced version had screwed-up images, missing text, and a long list of "bad token" and "unable to load embedded font" errors. (and... those reports were false, since the reports were for fonts not used in the document.) At least the TextEdit version displays properly.
