New iPhone coming in Feb

HI.
While in LA last week I heard that Apple are bringing out a new iPhone in Feb with a much bigger memory.
Does anyone know if this is true as I intend to get one for Christmas and would rather wait for the bigger memory so I can watch movies on it.

It would be fair to assume that a 16GB iphone would be an easy upgrade for apple as the ipod touch already has 16GB in the same form factor. Assume that some minor hw tweaks such as this are most likely after xmas rush has stopped to generate the next set of customers, and most likely a price drop on existing 8GB model. (all assumptions from me of course!).
One thing that you might consider is when deciding to delay purchase is this term & condition from the O2 web site, it appears to suggest that current iphone contracts can be upgraded to a new iphone (assume that this would mean a rev 2) without penalty as long as the customer agrees to another min term contract. That appears to suggest that there is lower risk on future upgrades, not sure if the US have a similar deal? Check out 8.3 & 8.4 on this link,

They are still on stage talking about the new iPhones. They haven't announced the dates yet. That will probably be toward the end of the 5S segment. Hold on and someone will post it.
They announced earlier that iOS 7 will release on 9/18.

Fearful of a new iphone coming out in next few months

I'm intersted in buying an iPhone and like most new technology its being replaced and upgraded constantly. Does anyone know if the iPhone or the AT&T service is destined for any major changes which make it wise to wait a 3 or 4 months?

3G is more relevant to europe and asia. Apparently AT&T has very little, to no 3G coverage in the US.
Here in NY, they only have 3G out in the hamptons (rich exclusive area full of celebrities.
And the other place is CA, SF area.
I dont think theres 3G from at&t anywhere inbetween the very few spots in NY and CA. In other words, none in the middle of the country.
a 3G iphone is mostly for foreign markets where 3G is standard. AT&T's network in the US is behind in this manner.

New iPhone vs iPod Touch

I want to get an iPod Touch 8 gig to replace my 1st generation Nano, but I saw the new iPhone coming out and am considering waiting to purchase it instead of the Touch. I am currently an AT&T customer, but I don't know if any changes will need to be made to my contract if I buy an iPhone. My phone is only several months old and doesn't need to be replaced, but it seems that the iPhone is the cheaper way to go. What do you suggest?

You should contact AT&T regarding your contract. Any answer you may get here would be speculation at best as only AT&T can advise you on this.
As for the Nano > iPhone I would be cautious of such a leap. You need to look at your monthly charges for your current phone/plan and see if moving to an iPhone is a viable option for you financially. iPod Touch may make more sense financially.
However, iPod Touch pretty much does everything the iPhone 3G does accept it will not have GPS and requires a WiFi connection for data. If having everything in one device is essential then you need the iPhone 3G.

No, but since your computer's cap lock key must be broken, Apple is having a sale on replacement cap lock keys - you might even get a replacement for free. Or, just press it to turn it off.

Hello there! I got called into work today so I couldn't watch the conference today. I have tried searching everywhere but all I can find is IPad this, IPad that...I think the new announcement has flooded the internet to cover up any new IPhone news.
Anyone that watched the conference, could you tell me what they said about the IPhone? Is there a new IPhone coming this year like the previous three? Updated operating system? etc.?

has anyone got any details on how the iPad might act more like a computer in allowing editing, saving of MS Office documents? I work with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and would like to have a gadget such as the iPad that would handle Office.
I own the iPod right now, but no iPhone and would like to have an Apple device that can handle a lot, be sort of a laptop in addition. I don't need the storage, processing of a laptop computer and i like how different this device actually is from a regular computer. Setup your new phone, then update to iOS 8.1.3. Once done: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings". At the setup screen you'll now be able to select your old phone's backup.

Some free advice. If your son is 8 years old, put him on your account, and set parental controls so that he cannot accidentally run up giant charges within the games.
If your son is 25 years old, get him his own AppleID and make him responsible for his own bills.
In between ... use your judgement.

I am a very new customer of yours, have bought a iPhone 5s on 25th Dec '13, but unfortunately someone stolen my phone in a MELA in my city. I immediately call my iphone but getting it switch off, as the thief had put the phone in switch off mode. I search it in iCloud with find my iphone apps but getting offline till date. I use pass code & finger print protection that's why probably it can't be use by the thief, but it can be sell as spare parts by opening up its parts . I had do all legal formalities & inform my carrier to lock my sim. Recently I again bought a new iPhone 4s 8GB from amazon.com & using it now.
It is the time to welcoming new iphone probably iphone 6/iphone air in this fall. I have plan to buy it & a apple laptop but first iphone 6 followed by iwatch if you launch & than laptop.
Now coming to the main point why I have written this mail let's explain it - I think you should put a switch off protection in this new device so that someone can't put the phone in switch off mode except the owner, at-least phone can be track till the battery last if someone stollen it. Because I know the problem & pain when someone lose a smart phone with all personal details. So please consider this in your new device as a new feature.

As for your suggestion, as much as I can understand what you are requesting, if the device is turned off, it is off. There isn't anything Apple or your carrier can do about that. Having a device that is OFF continue to send a signal suggest all sorts of privacy and battery management issues.

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

Open itunes store, click Purchased under Quick links.
Where is your backup copy of your computer? You can use that as well.
