New iphone connecting to itunes
Hi,
I got a new iPhone 4s from Verizon. I am wanting to connect it to iTunes so I downloaded iTunes and have installed it, problem is I keep getting the error saying "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing the package. This may indicated a problem with the package. The error code is 2349"
I have done the standard google search and tried various things from deleting temp files and uninstall/reinstall to connecting to a different wireless network and then redownloading itunes. Nothing has worked.
Can someone offer any suggestions?

questions #1 and #3 answered perfectly - and I very much appreciate it. But I need further clarification on #2. Tell me if I have this right:
I can add an alias (but not another account) to the Mobile Me I already have, meaning '[email protected]' but it will come to me on my phone, iMac, etc, also (in other words, it's the same account). If she replies to hers and I reply to mine (to the same person), the person that sent that email to her and me, may see her alias and mine, but the actual email will show it's coming from the same account. Does that make sense?
Conversely, if she does need/want another account, 1) we need to get family Mobile Me, and 2) THEN, it wouldn't just be an alias, rather the person on the other hand would have to email to different email addresses (accounts) if they wanted to reach us both, w/ the same email. Correct?
Epilogue: I bought Family Mobile Me when I bought this iMac last spring. However, the one I've had for years was renewed last October. I can load/buy/install the family version whenever I want, however, correct; and it will simply supercede the MM I currently have?
Do I need to put in a new password/ID, and give us BOTH a new [email protected] or should I keep the the one I've been using?
One last question: once that's all sussed out, she can get her .me account on hers, and I can my.me account on mine, but neither of us will get the others on each other's phone, right?

I've posted a bunch of issues the last few days preparing to load her new iPhone and straighten out my current non-synching of address book and iCal, and NO other Apple folks/experts have responded on here. I'm surprised - not to mention dismayed. everything I've ever posted in these discussion forums prior to this are always answered same day.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off. -
I was transferring information from my old iPhone to my new iPhone 5S via iTunes and I have completed the process but my phone will not restart, it is stuck in the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Any ideas?

After connecting my new iPhone 6 to iTunes, i transferred my music as i always have done. After opening the music app and selecting a playlist there is a download cloud next to each track... this is also the case with each podcast. Also once i reconnect the phone to iTunes go to add another playlist, at the top the "sync music" check tick has disappeared. when i re check that box again it says "Do you want to sync this iPhone all data will be erased"
can anyone help at all?

I am trying to set up my new iPhone 5s with iTunes, I've connected my phone to the computer and synced all of my apps and music, but the screen on my phone still continues to say connected to iTunes and doesn't seem to be continuing on with the set up. Any ideas on what's wrong?

I need to add new phone serial number to icloud, itunes. Find my phone keeps locating old phone. Any suggestions as to how to sync?
I don't understand. Won't the new iphone sync with itunes and icloud, assuming you have provided the Apple ID and password for the icloud? Serial numbers cannot be used to connect to itunes or icloud. Or am I misunderstanding your post?

I just tried to sync my wife's new Iphone with "my" ITunes. Bad mistake!! I guess "my" itunes thought her phone was mine and "somehow" went into "restore" mode and basically turned "her" phone into mine - ie. contacts, photos, etc.
Can your have two phones one Itunes?? Or should I just open a new Itunes account on her computer and "start" from scratch?? If I do the later, how do I transfer all the music on "my" Itunes to hers???You can sync as many iphone/ipads/ipods as you like to one computer/library.

I have not ugraded, but I can on 1 of my apples, to Mountain Lion. Much of the software I use is not compatible, or the compatible version is unacceptable (Quicken, etc.).
iTunes is 10.6.3, and it says it is the CURRENT software for my system.
The new iPhone 5 requires iTunes 7.
I may be dense, but is there no way around this problem other than upgrading to Mountain Lion? Maybe it is a strategy to sell more computers? In any case I may simply bypass the new iPhone. That isn't what would be the ideal scene, but it's an option.
Any thoughts on Apple coming up with a solution and having the iPhone 5 at least partially compatible with iTunes 10.6.3? Like they did with iCloud?

I have problems syncing my new iPhone 5 to iTunes. I read somewhere to disable iPhotos and that has allowed me to sync but my photos are not on my iPhone. How can I fix this?
Try updating to iPhoto 9.4.1. If it's not appearing in your Software Update yet, try updating using a .dmg installer downloaded from the following page on the Apple website:

I added my husbands new iphone to my itunes acount......all my contacts were on his phone so he delated them and added his own. Now my contacts are on my phone and mine are gone!!! Please tell me I can get them back and how?!?!?!
Unless you have a pre-DH backup of your iphone and/or Contacts to restore to, you can add this to your list of grievances when consulting a divorce attorney.

I have a brand new ipad2 connecting to iTunes 10.7 for the first time... It is not recognizing it in iTunes. It on windows and anti virus is off. What do I need to do?

how do I add custom ringtones on new iPhone 5, using iTunes 11.04 and Mac OS 10.7.5?
Are you meaning rintones that you create from existing files?
If so - then Google and you will get lots of hits on 'how to'.
Once you have the ringtones in your iTunes library then make sure in iTunes prefs>General tab - the Tones option is selected. Once your device shows in the Devices list make sure you select from the Tones tab in the Devices window the tones you want to d/l.

tunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your iphone. an unknown error occurred (1635)
any ideas? thxI get the same error (although in Dutch ;-)).
It also says something like (I'm translating): "Make sure your network settings are correct and your networkconnection is active or try again later." Is there a way to find out these "correct networksettings"?
I now get it for a week, eacht time I connect my iPhone to itunes...
