New iphone ios7 calender - crap

Is there anyway to get the old standard calender back on iphone? I updated the software & find the new calender isn't as user friendly.
I have downloaded other calender/ daily planners but they take too long to load .
If there is no way of getting the older calender back, can anyone recommend a decent app that works quickly?

There's no way a software update causes a hardware issue. This is just coincidental. Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Old iTunes on iMac power pc won't sync with new iPhone ios7

I have an old power pc iMac with all my iTunes library on it, I also have a newer intel dual core iMac & an iPhone 4. To add a playlist to my iPhone I need to be able to sync with iTunes on my old power pc iMac but the versions of iTunes are no longer compatible & I can't update my power pc iMac as it won't run the later versions of iTunes. If I connect my iPhone to my dual core iMac it will erase all the stuff I put on before it was incompatible. Is there a way that I can get all the devices to talk to each other ( particularly to share my iTunes library on all 3 devices) ?

The short answer is that you'll have to start syncing your phone with the Intel iMac. Probably the easiest solution is to move your music library to the newer computer with an external hard drive (unless the computers are connected via ethernet cable filesharing would be very slow). Since I don't have access to such an old computer (and the version of iTunes it is running) I'm not sure if you can use Home Sharing to share the iTunes library of the old Mac with the new one and whether that would solve your problem.

Voice memos in iOS7, on new iphone 5s cuts off recordings

Voice memos has always been super reliable in previous versions but on a new iphone 5s with ios7 I'm finding it cuts off recordings very unpredictably - sometimes after less than a minute sometimes after a quarter hour or so.
I've seen other threads where the issue has been described but this has been explicitly on longer recordings or where the recording is finished so wanted to raise this again as an issue on new hardware with recordings of any length where the recording stops by itself.
The bug is making the app unusable at present which is a shame as it looks like it could be a greatly improved app.
Any ideas?

The worse thing about this is that Apple Support does not appear to know about it and steered me in the wrong direction. Today I tried it again and lost another 50 minute recording.
Apple needs to fix this and let users and tech staff know ASAP.
This has now cost me 2 hours of client time, plus 3 hours of tech support. The client information is priceless to me. I will not be able to retrieve the content of those discussions, even if I conduct the meetings again. Too many variables were at play.
I am beyond disillusioned that this issue is being reported in various threads throughout the fall and has not been addressed, and that phone support is unwaware, so more users will end up with the same terrible losses.
It is, in my opinion, highly irresponsible and a show of disrespect to customers to permit this to be occuring without warning users or applying fixes.

No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.

Set up the new phone as a new iPhone (without using your backup), then update it to the latest iOS (7.1.2). Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. New iPhone 5s/iOs7 Won't Send Text Messages to 4s/iOs 6.1

My husband got a new iPhone 5s (iOs7) yesterday and when he sends a text message to my 4s (iOs 6.1), I don't get it. On his screen, the texts from him are blue. If he holds down the message and sends as text, I get them, and on my screen they are white.
I did do a bit of research and tried resetting the network settings and turning on SMS but it didn't work at all.
Can anyone give me a hand please? The poor man has been dealing with a belligerent, messed up Android phone for months, waiting to get this iPhone and now we can't text each other :-P Is this something we will have to live with until Apple fixes it?

Sound crapped out on the new iPhone 4

so after using pandora for may be 2 minutes into the new eminem song ... sound just went kapoot ...including ringtones/sms sounds basically systemwide meltdown of sound ...only sound that i get is thru ear piece...just did couple of restores and set it up as new iphone but still the same problem ... tried toggling silent switch a couple of times but does not seem to get it off ... roughly 14 hours into getting this iphone and already crapped out on me ...im afraid to go to an apple store to a genius bar due to all the launch day madness...wonder when i will be able to resolve this issue ... First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

Caller ID doesn't work in IOS7 on new Iphone 5s. Apple have told me there is no fix!

Caller ID does not work in my new Iphone 5s. It has never worked, IOS is completely up to date. Calls just come through as numbers regardless of whether the caller is in my contacts.
I have tried a factory reset and restore but no change. A call into my carrier was no help and they put me on to Apple who said that there was no fix. I am on the Three network in the UK.
I was told to change the language and then change back and that this would help but it didn't and the result was that my predictive messaging started completing words in French despite having been changed back to English. This was resolved with a factory reset but still no caller ID.
I've also had a problem with highlighting emails to delete but the tick box won't stay highlighted (although this is a little off topic).
Any help would be appreciated.

Check to see if in Settings > General > Restrictions and if Restrictions is turned on, look at the Require Password section and see if it is set to Immediately. If it is, then that will be what causes Touch ID to not be used when making purchases and would need to be set to a different time. Check out the article below for more information to make sure you are setup.
