i have been downloading music to itunes straight from my iphone and now have to get it all on to my laptop and new iphone. how do i do this and i dont want it all through icloud

Try using your computer password. I tried any password I could think of relating to my phones, but it was none of them; it was, in fact, my computer password.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

I hope someone can help me, my old iphone is no longer working and i have gotten a new one. Problem is that i dont know how to get all my contacts off my itunes and onto my new iphone. I always thought i was doing the right thing by backing up all the time Help!!!!

When you say iTunes, what exactly - Just a back up or were you syncing them to Outlook/Address Book app?
If it's a backup then you can only do a full restore to get them back (that's the point of a backup!). If you were syncing them (different to a back up) to Outlook (windows)/Address Book (Mac) then it's just a case of setting the sync back up on the new phone in iTunes.
I suspect you did a back up from reading your post though..

HT4009 I bough pinball arcade in app purchases ( all pinball machines that were available ). Now that I have new iphone, Itunes charged me again to download them on new phone. They then told me they could do nothing. Help. They are ********.

I bought and downloaded pinball acade from itunes in the last year. I bought all in app puchases possible ( all pinball machines). Downloading them to my itouch an ipad as necessary. Sometimes they would crash and I would simply reload them. I bought a new iphones this week and while putting this app on my
new phone (with in app puchases) I noticed my balance on my Itunes account was going down faster than my gas tank. They were charging me again I contacted Apple and Itunes and they told me it was not there problem and I needed to contact Pinballarcade.com. That is like buying a washing machine from Sears and after having problems, they tell me to contact Kenmore. I have bought thousands in music and apps over the years. I will start switching to other services in the future. I also have an occupation that allows me to interact with the public. Whenever the opportunity allows, I will tell them of my experiences.
I did try to contact pinballarcade.com, but the website is not working, and I am running out of patience.

The Same thing happened to me! I lost about 15 Tables from all first 3 seasons and I contacted their shoddy support email, and got a response saying that I should do this that and the other thing and I followed their advice only to get the same result....All of those table are still only available to me if I purchase them! I am so upset, I think I lost about $60.00 in purchases for which I have all my receipts for....Anyone know an answer? No snarky replies please, what do you have to gain from that..I'm sure we've all been screwed by in-app purchases before and you know what a shock it is. Thanks in Advance!

Without knowing what happens when you try to restore via iTunes as the screen is telling:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I can't save a picture from e-mail to photos on my new iphone 5S, help!

When I send or receive photos from e-mail and I want to save them to my photos app on my new iphone 5S, it does not work when I push the arrow and save image button.
I can tap on the photo, then push on save image, which is a whole extra step.
Why is this such a problem? my iphone 4G worked better than this one, help!

You have a new Mac.
You have a new iPhone
You have a wireless printer that I am sure supports WiFi. If it doesn't it supports USB, which your Mac supports
You can create an ad hoc WiFi network on the Mac that will allow the phone to sync to it and also print from both the iPhone and Mac.
Alternatively you can get a WiFi router and use it to connect the 3, even if you don't have an Internet connect.

Problems with new iPhone 5S HELP!!!

Hi so i recently got the new iPhone 5s. I have been experincing problems since two weeks after purchase. People have problem hearing me during phone cals not network also on facetime i have tried holding the phone in numerous postion with tierdless effort but no result also the phone itslef get burning hot whilst playing the simplest of games like candy crush and no its not because i play it for hours on ends it gets a such a temprature after 3 minutes of use. I recently attempted to purchase infintey blade 3 it couldent complete the download because i have used up the capacity and then a notficaton pops up on my lock screen saying 'you have used up all your storage' it has been only a month and couple of weeks how can this happen with only 72 apps 132 songs and i have used up the suposed capacity 12.9gb what should do?

Search these forums for hints on how to maximize your battery life. after trying the many suggestions on these forums you still feel your battery is draining too fast Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

New Computer - iTunes Help!

Having a huge problem moving my iTunes file from my old computer to my new computer. i have already backed it up to an external drive using preferences>advance>copy file to iTunes music folder and copying the iTunes folder to the HDD.
How do i go about resorting everything just exactly as my old itunes library. Like playcounts, date added, playlist, apps, etc.
I also have an iPod that i sync with the old iTunes library

There are several ways of copying music from your iPod to your computer. Just do a simple google search for your question and should receive a plethora of sites that can help you.

Iphone/Itunes help

I have an Iphone and download all my music directly from the Itunes app. I usually transfer my purchases onto a laptop for safe keeping and so I can make cd's. Today I connected my Iphone and somehow lost about the last 5 songs I downloaded, this is really irritating because Itunes doesnt seem to have its own back up system where you can redownload your purchases at any time (at least if it does, i haven't discovered the easy way to do it?). I tried to redownload one of them again but had to pay for it. How can I buy songs and know that if I happen to lose them through no fault of my own, I can re download them at any time? and also, How can I connect my iphone to another laptop without losing either all of my music on my phone or all of the other persons music on their laptop?
Is it just me or is it really frustrating for anyone else that using itunes is really not as simple as it could be!

Music purchases can currently only be re-downloaded if you are in the US , if you are anywhere else then you will need to pay if you want to re-download them. The only way to be sure of not losing purchases (even if you are in the US then there is no guarantee that content will remain in the store) is to make and maintain backups . An iPhone is designed to only be synced with one computer at a time, so unless you also have all of your content on other computers that you connect it to then it is probably best/safest not to connect to them.
