New iphone, new computer, lost ringtones

I previously had an iphone 4 that lasted me quite a long time, when it shut down unexpectedly and the battery swelled I replaced it with an Iphone 5s. i have everything i have ever purchased as far as songs and shows go. But not one single ringtone I had is on my library and i have not seen many of them available as far as i can see on itunes. They are just gone. i spent money on these and would hate to repurchase them, however some tones just don't show up anywhere. Can i get some help? Please and thank you in advance.

Ringtones (and audiobooks) are a one-time only download from the store (other items are only redownloadable whilst they remain in the store). If you don't have copies of them on your backup of your downloads/library, and if they are still in the store and you haven't moved countries since buying them, then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

PSE 2.0 is long gone from the Adobe site, but you could probably get a cheap copy on eBay. Or, just take this as a chance to upgrade. Photomerge was improved in PSE 3.0, but I don't know whether they made any further enhancements in PSE 4.0 for Windows.

  • I synced with new computer, lost apps. reinstalled but Office HD docs that we're not lost when I reinstalled will not cut and paste. Will I need to use only new documents to cut and paste?

I synced my IPad2 with a new computer and lost all apps. I reinstalled apps. When I reinstalled the Office2HD, all documents were still ther, but I am trying to cut and paste one and it is not allowing? Will I need to save new documents there for this function to work?

There are dozens of possibilities, Lisa.
Which C50-A do you have? There is a label on the bottom.
What security applications do you have installed? Webroot is a common offender.
Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If so, which version?
    Do you use Bluetooth?
Did you upgrade to Windows 8.1 properly, following carefully the instructions here?

Then see if that trouble occurs after a clean boot.
       1. Open the System Configuration utility (msconfig.exe). You can do that by typing msconfig at the Start screen and pressing Enter.
       2. On the Services tab, set the Hide all Microsoft services check box and then click Disable all.
       3. On the Startup tab, click Open Task Manager, right-click and disable each Startup item. Then close Task Manager.
       4. Back on the System Configuration screen, click OK, and restart the computer.

  • New computer; lost all messages

    Hi-
I've lost my messages and I sent myself a test from my hotmail account, and it wasn't received. Something is going on with my new computer. I just bought and set up a new iMac 20".
I migrated files via the method described here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1872713
In terms of mail, the only thing suggest to bring over was: /Home/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
I did so. But, when I opened mail, there's nothing there. Nothing in inbox, sent or deleted. And, like I said, when I sent myself a test, nothing came through.
Can anyone tell me how to get my messages and how to get my mail working again? I'm stumped. Thanks.

Also, just another piece of information that is weird, and I don't know if it helps. When I got to preferences in mail and click the "accounts" tab. I see my account there in the left but it says:
    .Mac (inactive)
Sounds to me like my account is inactive but I have no idea why, and how to get it back. Everything was fine with my old Powerbook. This is a recent development with my iMac. Thanks.

    Hello Miz C,
As I said in answer to your other post, pressing "Yes" when iTunes brings up the dialogue window asking whether you want to replace the songs on your iPod with the songs in iTunes does exactly what it says. If you linked to an empty iTunes or one with only a few or completely different songs it will have erased your original iPod song list. Unless you have the original PC to connect back to the songs you had are gone. You could check out what data recovery programs are on offer but I have no experience of any to fully recommend.

  • New computer , lost purchases

I have a new computer and tried to transfer 80 some songs that have already been
bought on i-tunes. The songs are listed in my account info, how can I get them back??

If you still have the song files, drag them into the open iTunes window. If not, fill out and submit this form, or purchase them again.

  • How to sync music/videos from iphone to computer - lost ext hard drive

I recently lost my external hard drive where I was storing all my music, videos and photos.  Long story, but the backup was not occurring.  I have precious video and music on my iphone (some original, not purchased) that I don't have the data for, but the iTunes libraries are still intact.  But the libraries are pointing to a drive that doesn't exist.  I have purchased a new hard drive that has the same drive letter as the original one.  Will iTunes create a new folder and sync my music and videos to the same place, or do I need to recreate exactly the same path?  Also, if something like this will work, will it sync, bringing the files from the iPhone to the new external hard drive? Please, can anyone help?

Thanks for your reply, KiltedTim!  After reading on some additional resource sites and evaluating suggestions and reviews, I did try a 3rd party software which worked beautifully!   The software allows the user to store the data into different folders by content type, including subfolders, too.  I completely understand Apple's theology to make the sync a one way deal for copyrighted content, but when the unthinkable happens, it sure is nice to at least have an option to preserve anything personal and legal that you have on your iPhone that you lost on your hard drive, mainly music, videos, voice memos, text messages and notes.  I am completely respectul of the protection of copyrighted music...I am just very glad that the people that created the software "had my back" this time for my precious family memories and the time saved trying to reimport all my music CD's!

  • Whilst transfering to new computer lost libary

Help. Whilst following instructions for transfer to new comp, I have mangaed to wipe all information of I pod. Ihave dragged file to desktop and still have music files in when I connect and find i pod in My Computer. I am very un IT and in a panic. Any suggestions

    Ihave dragged file to desktop
What file have you dragged to the desktop?
You said you'd lost all info from your iPod, then go on to say you still have music files on your iPod when you look at the iPod through "my computer".
If they are still there, you may have success using this method of retrieving them.

  • New computer, lost ipod, still get itunes?

My computer crashed.  I got a new one and installed itunes.  I no longer have my ipod, can i still get the songs and games I paid for earlier?

To get the music and playlists from one computer to the other you have to physically move your music and iTunes library, they won't appear automatically on another computer. If you had any purchased music and didn't make a back-up to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on the link at the bottom of this page you'll be able to email your query: iTMS Customer Service

  • New computer - lost playlists.

I have allmy songs but lost the playlists. Do they need to be recreated?

SUCCESS!!!!! I just wanted to thank you - I did what you said last night (and a little more). I deleted everything from my Vista Music folder, including running an uninstall on the Vista iTunes. I deleted all the music from my Vista computer, completely. Then I pasted the iTunes folder that I had copied from my portable drive into the Music folder on my Vista computer. Then I installed the newest version of iTunes for Vista and voila! All my music just magically appeared, with all my playlists in perfect order. Thank you so much for your help and patience.
FYI new Vista users - these processes took me literally HOURS to do, so have a book to read while you're waiting. For some strange reason, deleting files takes longer than copying and pasting them. Each process took about an hour and a half, but the deleting of all the music took over 3 hours! (I have about 9,000 songs) Vista is REALLY SLOW and I have a fast computer. Just thought I'd share that speed issue.
    Thanks again!

  • Getting New Computer (Lost installation discs)

I have a *iMac G5* running Panther. Soon I will purchase a *Macbook Pro* with Leopard. I have the *Macromedia 8 suite* on my iMac, but I lost the installation discs. What should I copy over from my iMac to my *Macbook Pro* to run the Macromedia programs on it ( Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc.). I know how to connect two computers firewire to firewire to make one act as a external hard disc.
Thank you to anyone with help.

Your G5 uses PPC; your new MBP uses Intel. The two OSs are worlds apart.
There is no way you will be able to use your old PPC programs on the Intel Mac, especially without the disks, but I doubt that they were Universal Binary anyway, unless they are very new - a few years old at most.
You can copy your old data files over very simply, using Migration Assistant on your new MBP. The programs might copy over, but I am quite sure they will not run. You will need the latest software from Macromedia in order to run them on your MBP.
