New IPhone Update

I connectd to Wifi to download the new update and when I hit the update button the phone asked me to connect to Itunes. I connected to Itunes but the computer won't even read my phone. I have hard reset and everything and cannot figure out how to fix this. Please help.

Put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.

The iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. If you sync to another it will erase the current content from the iphone and repalce with content from the new computer.

Problems with SMS after new iPhone update

After downloading the new iPhone update my SMS messages started getting scrambled up. A few of my friends that also own iPhones are having the same problem and i was curious if there are others out there? And also if there is going to be anything done about it?

If you restore from backup.
You should have made sure that everything was on your computer bef ore updating anyway. Did you fail to do that?
All pics taken with iphone should be imported to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update/restore/etc. Did you fail to do that?

[iTunes 8.0.2]: I cannot download new iPhone updated applications

I am suffering something very weird since three days ago. Well, I have iTunes 8.0.2.20 with QT 7.5.5, so everything is up to date.
I can connect to iTunes Store, I can buy/download new songs and I can buy new iPhone applications at the iTunes Store. But the problem is that the iTunes says that I have 55 Applications updates (and this number grows everyday because there are new updates released), but when I press the button: "55 Updates available" at the Applications section the iTunes says me:
"We cannot complete your iTunes Store request. There is an unknown error (-50)."
And I have been trying everything: Re-install iTunes and QuickTime, flush the DNS with the WinXP 'ipconfig' command, disconnect completely the firewall, etc.
But, it continues happening, although 3 days ago didn't happened and I didn't changed anything in my PC. But suddently began to happen this issue.
Can you help me, please?

Download new iPhone update - CRASH

i just downloaded most recent iPhone update (for the old 2G phone). it downloaded everything correctly and then when phone reset it came back with an error that my SIM card is not in properly and wont activate my phone. Itunes wont recognize my phone so i can't restore.

Try removing and re-inserting your SIM. To do this, insert a paperclip into the small hole on the top of the iPhone, then push the tray back in.

New Iphone updated with wrong user

just got a iphone 5 and i just went to get some apps and some thing poped up and it said new iphone and i went threw and it said to backup on my moms phone i said yes and all her contacts are on the phone and songs.
how can i get it to say that it is my phone and i get all my contacts back and songs?

So what has been your phone before you get iPhone5?
If was an iPhone, did you have created a back up before in a computer or iCloud?
If your phone has been a iPhone and you backed up somewhere, you should sync your device with.
1. To get the back up from iCloud: In your iPhone 5, open Settings>>iCloud, then sign in with your Apple ID and password. Wait for a while and Voila';
2. To get the back up from your PC: plug your device in your pc and open iTunes, then select your device and click restore.
If you never backed up your old iPhone, I advice you to back up your old iPhone by iCloud. Then you can sign in iCloud in your new iPhone and all contacts, photos, calendars, notes and so on goes to your new iPhone automatically.

They will be gone from the iphone, but you should be syning all contacts to your computer regularly and should be importing all pics to your computer regularly, particularly before any update.
Have you failed to do this?

Remember you need itunes 10.5 first. Instead of using the update button on the summary screen, go up to Help then Check for Updates. A window should pop up checking the version of itunes first, then for the iphone. I suggest selecting Download Only for the iphone file update, then clicking Update later after the download.

So is the iOS 8.2 update not downloading to your iPhone, computer or both?
You have synced it to iTunes, that is an option to update if it's not updating wirelessly. Please see if other steps help.

Don't quite understand what you're asking but I think you mean the apps running in the background?. If thats the case do this:
- double tap the home button
- swipe the app up you wish to close

Also a new feature in iOS 7 called "Background App Refresh" can use a bit of battery life so it wouldn't hurt to also turn this off. You can do this by going to settings>general>background app refresh.

The new iphone update *****. How can I uninstall it?

The iOS7.0.2 update is terrible.
The icons for the built- in apps changed. I can think of no good reason for this. It's now more difficult to find what I am looking for as I don't recognize the app icons. The background in the phone app is now gone so there is no contrast between the address book info and the screen making the info harder to read. It looks like apple just made the cosmetic changes because they got bored. There was no intelligent thought put into the changes.
I used to be able to open the notification center with a quick flick down but now the notification center only comes down halfway. It now takes a much more deliberate downward swipe to open.
The task bar of open apps (or whatever they call it) is bigger and clunkier. It used to be simple and quick. Somehow apple found a way to ruin a good thing.
If they are going to make stupid changes part of an update then they should add them as options in the Settings, such as "Use the simple and fast interface or use the new more difficult, hard to read interface that we thought would look cool."
Is there any way to uninstall this horrible update?

I cant download new iphone update. i have turned off firewalls disabled security cleared dns cache and still nothing. i get this message err = _3259.

try taking Thunderbird offline File menu (Alt+F) > offline > workoffline
Close Thunderbird
reboot your computer
Restart Thunderbird and try compacting while Thunderbird is still offline.
