New Iphone updated with wrong user
just got a iphone 5 and i just went to get some apps and some thing poped up and it said new iphone and i went threw and it said to backup on my moms phone i said yes and all her contacts are on the phone and songs.
how can i get it to say that it is my phone and i get all my contacts back and songs?

So what has been your phone before you get iPhone5?
If was an iPhone, did you have created a back up before in a computer or iCloud?
If your phone has been a iPhone and you backed up somewhere, you should sync your device with.
1. To get the back up from iCloud: In your iPhone 5, open Settings>>iCloud, then sign in with your Apple ID and password. Wait for a while and Voila';
2. To get the back up from your PC: plug your device in your pc and open iTunes, then select your device and click restore.
If you never backed up your old iPhone, I advice you to back up your old iPhone by iCloud. Then you can sign in iCloud in your new iPhone and all contacts, photos, calendars, notes and so on goes to your new iPhone automatically.

The iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. If you sync to another it will erase the current content from the iphone and repalce with content from the new computer.

Problems with SMS after new iPhone update
After downloading the new iPhone update my SMS messages started getting scrambled up. A few of my friends that also own iPhones are having the same problem and i was curious if there are others out there? And also if there is going to be anything done about it?
Search the forums for "Re: SMS conversations 1.1.3", this has solved that problem for a majority of the folks having it.

I am trying to set up my new iPhone 5s with iTunes, I've connected my phone to the computer and synced all of my apps and music, but the screen on my phone still continues to say connected to iTunes and doesn't seem to be continuing on with the set up. Any ideas on what's wrong?

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly when creating the account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) ? e.g. if doing it on your phone and you are currently logged into an account then log out of it, find a free app in the app store app, tap on its free price button, tap 'install app', and then tap on 'create new apple id' on the popup that you get. I tried those instructions on my phone a few days ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on the payments screen. -

I have synced my new iPhone 4S with my old iphone 3S and i can't invite any contacts with my calendar?

Please help!Go to iTunes Settings, on the Devices tab you will see a list of all available backups. If you don't see the one you're looking for there it doesn't exist to restore your phone to it. Also, if you want to prevent iTunes from syncing automatically you can check "Prevent...from syncing automatically" on the Devices preferences screen.
If you do see the backup you are trying to restore to listed here, you should be able to right-click on the name of your phone and select it to restore from. When you right-click on your phone you should see these choices, where "iPhone" is the name of your phone: -

I bought a new iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3 installed. When I connected it to itunes for the first time to activate it iTunes asked me to enter the password for an account that the iPhone is locked to like if the device was used before what shall I do? PLease reply soonI can't do that because the device was purchased from United Arab Emirates and I got it as a gift in Syria but the problem is that there is not even a single apple store in Syria so is there another way to fix that, I googled it and was told to jailbreak the device whitch I did and than hacktivated it but the problem is the device doesn't connect to any network and only shows "no service" and the battery draining too fast so is there any other way to fix this issue

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

Thanks. I can change the forwarding settings in Gmail to be either POP or IMAP. That is quite simple. I just looked at those settings on the Gmail server and, to my surprise, both are enabled. In order for outlook client on my computer to receive IMAP emails I have to change the email account settings in my current outlook from POP to IMAP. I don't need to be using the Exchange version of Outlook to receive IMAP. I guess I'll do a little research tomorrow on Exchange so i can figure out what, if anything, it might do for me.
I glanced at the link you sent me and it looks like it might be very helpful - another project for tomorrow.
BTW: I hit "This Solved my Question" by accident. I meant only to "like' your response so you would get some benefit from the help you've given me so far. I hope I haven't discouraged others from taking a shot at helping me. I suspect there is more than one way to approach this and, as you know, my problem isn't really solved until I have what I need all set up and running smoothly. -
Syncing new iphone 5 with a Mac with itunes 10.6.3. Error message says iphone cannot be used because requires itunes 10.7 or later. Unable to download Itunes 10.7 to Mac. What do I have to do to import songs from Mac to new Iphone 5 ?
iOS 6 (which runs on the iPhone 5) requires iTunes 10.7, which requires OS X 10.6.8 or higher.

Brand new iphone 4 with 0 bytes of storage
I just bought a new iPhone 4 with 8G of storage but prior to any restoring, 6.4 GB are already used and 0 bytes are available. This is silly, I can't even take a picture. Can someone tell me how to free up that space? Keep in mind it has no music, videos, photos, contacts, etc.
