New iPhone6 won't accept password

Just delivered. Backed up old 5s to iCloud. No problem.
But when I want set up new iPhone using iCloud, it won't accept my password.
I'd call support but new phone's serial number not available.

Thanks, but weirdly, it wasn't!
But when I went online again, the apple site suddenly knew about my phone and showed me my serial number (probably because I bought applecare)

MasterBinker, have you tried using the Forgot Password link in the sign in page for ePrintCenter? This should send a new password to the email address.
You may also want to try using a different web browser.

Was the FCS on your old machine an upgrade? You will need to enter your original, full version serial first, and then you will be prompted for the upgrade serial number.

New won't accept password

I'm a teacher who has written for numerous grants to get Macs for my classroom. I'm having a bit of trouble setting up new accounts on some of my older machines. The computers I'm having problems with are all iMac 700 G3's running 10.4.7. I'd like to set up student accounts to keep the computer settings etc. secure.
I can create a "student" account and assign the account a password. However, when I go to log into the student account the password is never accepted. The screen shakes its happy little head. The hint I provided for the account is correct, but the password doesn't work.
I can log back in as an administrator without any problem, and the students can use the computers using that account, but it'd give me a little piece of mind if I could limit their access by having them log in using a different account.
So, in a nutshell...I can create a new user account, assign a password and provide a hint for the password. But...whenever I try and log into that account I am not allowed.
The students have never had access to the new accounts, so their is no chance they've gone in and changed passwords etc.
Any hints, clues or words of wisdom would greatly be appreciated.

I did return the unit, but haven't yet picked up another one. I will some time in the next two weeks, but will try it on my home network first to rule out any unit-specific problems. (I have an Apple TV at home and it works very well, and always connects without fail.)

Won't accept password after leopard install

I just upgraded my iMac OS10.2.8 to Leopard and all went well until the restart. I normally have auto login since I'm the only user but now the password login pops up and it won't accept any of the passwords I enter. Help!

All these messages started to come up including Mail wants to use the login keychain; PubSubAgent...Dotmacsyncclient... They keep popping up and my old password won't work. It also seems to be interupting my email sending as well. It asks repeadily for my email account passwords (they work though) Help! I work from home and am really nervous about these problems. Wifi won't accept password

IPhone connects to home wifi easily; iPad suddenly won't - no changes were made from yesterday, so..? Already tried hard reboot on iPad, unplugging wifi box from power source, set to WPA, putting in name of network/password - all over and over. No wifi connection. Then changed home wifi channel back to 6. Did all previous steps again, still no go. Name of home wifi shows up every time on iPad..but when it asks for password, it won't accept it to make a connection. iPhone still connects and stays connected easily. Infuriating, Apple. (newer retina iPad)

My ipad and iphone suddenly stopped recognizing wifi password after returning from holiday.
This worked for me:
Settings>Wifi>click on your Network >click on right arrow to right of name>Forget this network>Forget> click back to settings>wifi.
Your network name should still be there. Click on it and re-enter your password. Bingo!

Mail won't sync with my .mac account - won't accept password

I have a MacBook running the OS X 10.6.8. Recently I have found that I cannot sync my Mail with my .mac account. I can log on through the internet to iCloud and read emails (I know my password is valid), but when I try to get them synced to my Mail account it won't accept the password. It looks like this may be a conflict with Mail not being updated to iCloud, but I am unsure. I have not found an update that will update the Mail to link with iCloud. My computer is also not new enough to update to the new Lion OS. Am I stuck? This has been very discouraging and I have been wasting hours of valuable time trying to figure out how to fix this.

Did you turn on iCloud Drive by any chance? If so, then until Yosemite comes out, you won't be able to sync your documents and data to your Mac:

New macbook pro wont accept password

I moved everything over from my i5 MBP to a new i7 via utilities migration assistant. However the new macbook pro wont accept my password, nor will it recognise the other user account passwords. Works fine on the i5.
In Disc Utilities, change password asks me to select an image, but does not light up "change" when I select user.
Any ideas?

Is you new MBP the 2010 model or is it a newer model running Mountain Lion?
If it's a newer model running ML, you can simply boot into your Recovery partition (hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and when you get to the Recovery window, select Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type
resetpassword
and hit Return. A small app will open that will allow you to change the password for the user that you select. Then just reboot and use the new password.
If, indeed, you're running 10.6.4, you'll need the installation disc to use the Reset password utility.

Won't accept password when waking from sleep.

a client of mine is having an issue where her mac won't accept her password after waking from sleep. The same password works when she restarts. She has confirmed that caps lock is off. Any Ideas?
I left her a message trying to find out more details about her computer like OS version and stuff. Will update this when i hear from her.

She still hasn't returned my call, but i know that she is able to type. Whether its wifi keyboard or not I do not know.

Windows 8 Won't Accept Password

Bought new Windows 8 computer. I didn't like it, so gave it to my husband who reset with his user account and password. After working perfectly fine, all of the sudden wouldn't accept password. Although KNEW the password, went through process to reset Microsoft
password. Nothing. More reading. Started in Safe Mode (after LOTS more reading). Nothing. After lots and lots and lots of more reading, finally was able to use the command prompt feature and create a new password. It worked! Turned machine on and off several
times to make sure password was fine.
All okay until let daughter use the computer. After successfully using the computer and password several times, she turned it on, typed in the password when requested and it wouldn't accept it. She called us to verify password she was using was correct.
It was. Finally, after about the 4th-5th attempt, it accepted the password.
What is happening and why? What can we do to keep this from happening again?
We don't have a back-up disc, and obviously, many "fixes" cannot be used because we can't log-in to the machine to use them. This is really frustrating and certainly makes us wish we had spent more money and purchased a machine with "a different
operating system."

For this problem, it's hard to verify why this thing happen. Gererally speaking, it can be caused by User Profile crash. The workaround method is belows:
Use SFC /scannow command to fix system file.
Create a new account for test.

Please disregard, I've figured out the problem. In case it could help someone else, when asked for the User Name, you have to include the "@gmail.com" where with Apple Mail, you don't have to.

HELP .. mail 3.2 won't accept password

I have several email accounts that have been working until today.
One of the accounts will not allow me to check email. It keeps asking for the password and then it won't accept it.
I have tried going into preferences/accounts to re-enter the password and it still won't work.
Nothing has changed and all the other accounts are working fine.
I even went into keychain and deleted the account file and it will not accept the password.
Please help me .. I need to check my mail.

I suggest running Keychain First Aid on your login keychain via Keychain Access.
Have you tried logging in to this account via webmail access using a browser to confirm you are able to login and access the account with this password separate from the Mail.app?

ITunes won't accept password on MacBook Pro

This is a recent problem that just started happening - everytime iTunes opens it won't accept my password. No error message - it just keeps prompting me to enter password. I can use itunes but can't log in to my account for app updates or itunes store. Password works fine on iphone and for logging in to this forum, and i Message. Tried reseting and also repairing permissions as suggested in other posts - neither of those worked.
