New ipod cant see my music

Hi,
I got a new 30 gig iPod and tried to sync it to my pc. I've also tried others. first of all, it says it holds 605 gigabytes and there are 60 gigabytes used. It says it is all synced and I push eject and unplug my ipod, but it wont see anything on the iPod. has anyone else experienced this?

with those symptoms, we'd better check for a Windows drive letter confusion on your PC. see the following document:

Plug your iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, click on it from under Devices in the left hand pane. This brings you to the Summary tab. Locate and click on the Music tab. What configurations do you have made from under this tab? Is your iPod configured to sync those playlists?

The red exclamation mark indicates that itunes cannot find your files.
Are the music files still on your harddrive. Look n Finder
Username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media
If the files are there then keep the option key pressed and open iTunes. A dialog box will open asking you to choose your library. Select Choose and then navigate to the Music/iTunes Folder and click OK

My brothers id is authorized on my comp but i cant see his music in my libary

New ipod - cant get a tv episode on it

ok. i just got a new ipod. Replacing an old one. i wanted an ipod with video on it. I got all of my music videos ect on it. but i cant get a tv episode that i bought in the past to go on it. I dont know if i did something wrong when i registered the ipod or what. Any help or suggestions?????

So you can manually drag/drop TV shows onto the iPod but you can't get them to sync? I honestly don't know why that's happening if you have enough free space on your iPod.

New iPod started to load music, now pc won't recognize it.

I just bought the video ipod the other day.I hooked it up to my computer and it started to load music to the ipod right away. I had to leave so I ejected the ipod from itunes and shut the computer off. The next day I continued to download songs/videos to my ipod. Had to leave again and ejected the ipod. Since then, iTunes does not recognize the new ipod. I have installed and uninstalled itunes and the ipod software but nothing seems to work..HELP!!

New iPod touch, adding library music and got duplicates of some albums?

I was wondering if anyone could offer me some help. I got a new iPod touch today in replacement of my old 8G one, and i transferred all my music okay, but when i went onto my albums option on my ipod, it listed several of the same albums with same songs on them, eg. my Watchmen soundtrack appears at least 7 times, all with the same songs. why is this? and i was it only with some of my music? can anybody help me please?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

New ipod unable to play music

Old ipod crashed and now have a new one. after syncing of new ipod occured i noticed i couldn't highlight a song my ipod within itunes and play it. is this normal?

scroll down to the bottom of your ipod summary tab (so that you can see all the entries under "Options"). do you currently have "manually manage music" checked? if not, try checking that. are you able to play songs off the ipod through itunes now?

Bought a Brand New iPod touch, my entire music library WILL NOT SYNC (stuck on waiting for changes)

I just bought a new ipod touch, and I'm really struggling to not throw this thing against the wall.
My music won't sync. Its stuck on "Waiting for Changes to be applied"
Im not trying to sync anything else, no video, pictures, apps, anything. Just music. My old iPod touch syncs just fine. I can't restore it, because the restore takes it back to when I was setting the ipod up. I factory reset my ipod many times. I've tried manually syncing songs individually but it hangs on the same spot.

I have been able to get SOME songs on by doing artist one by one. I also took off all album art. I have only 10 songs or so that I have bought so this is all my own stuff. I just bought a refurbished ipod touch from the apple store. It seems weird to me that it is not all ipods, just some and with the searching I have done, it was mainly Sept to Nov of last year there was issues.... Got new iPod, deleted iTunes, lost music

My friend recently got a new iPod (and turned the old one in for a discount). My friend's new iPod would not sync with old iTunes, so she tried to upgrade it. For some reason it wouldn't. In frustration, she deleted iTunes from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Now she realizes that iTunes is gone and her iPod is empty. Is all of her music gone forever? Or 1) is there a remaining library of music or 2) does the iTunes store allow you to download your purchased music again? Thank you for any assistance!

I fear there is something wrong with my current ipod. It will not allow me to update from my existing library.
Question:
If I just go out and buy a brand new ipod, will I be able to plug in to my computer, and then transfer all the music that is currently in my itunes library?

so long as your ipod updater software and itunes meet the minimum system requirements for the ipod, it would be fine. (attractive beast downloads precisely the same music as mauve, from the same library. back in the day, all i had to do was upgrade my ipod software first.)

I filled up my Ipod the other day on a PC and subsequently bought an Imac. Now, neither computer can see the music on the Ipod. Itunes on both computers shows that it is full of music (the memory bar is full). When I try to access the music playlists, nothing turns up. Any ideas? Thanks
