New ipod classic is has been stuck in restore mode (160 gb) version

Hello, i have 160 gb  ipod classic which is old about 7 days and im using Windows7 to transfer my songs. When i syncing songs and ipod was about 2/3 full it has begun to transfer songs very, very slow.. Then i tried to reconnect it but both itunes and ipod report that it was corrupted and after restarting ipod it shows that has 0 songs instead 10000+.. tried to put it in disk mode to save libaries, but it would not let me do that.. Then i restore it and it was successful and fast.. Later i have began to sync it again and when i have transferred about 2500 songs it have begun to slow-sync again.. I have waited to finish syncing and restarted my pc.. After it was completed ipod was not visible in "my computer", neither in itunes but i could play songs with no lagging in shuffle mode.. I left it connected for maybe 15 minutes and it appears in windows  which asked me to do disk check  what i accepted to do and waited about 4 hours or more to complete it but without any errors.. Then i tried to shuffle songs  and it was very fast but it was still invisible in my computer.. Apparantely, after 20 or so minutes connected to pc it shows up in itunes and says it was corruped and then i did restore again but it was very, very slow (it was fast to half bar but other half needed about 1 hour to complete) and when it was done it was still invisible to computer and ipod says that i have 80 gb used and other is free.. I have left it again some time connected to pc, and this time i tried to format hdd with windows uttility in both NTFS and exFat file system and after i done it and reconect to pc it shows up immediately and i could transfer files like i do on any external hdd but when i tried to restore it in itunes i am waiting for maybe an hour to complete but  after it has been done, it again shows me to my ipod is corrupted..
I tried several times with varius formats and files system and still nothing... Sound of hdd is good, like it was before this issues.. In "device manager" and "devices and printers" it shows up right after i plug it in everything it seems to be ok but it is invisible in "my computer" and itunes for long time.. When it shows up, its offten unresponsive and to get it to restore i have to replug it few times.. Sorry for long post but it is detailed as much as my english let me describe it (its obvious that it isnt my main language)..
I would be very grateful if someone can help me :-/ Thanks in advance!

i forget to mention that i tried to sync it on other computer and same issues occurred..

  • My Ipod Touch 4 has been stuck in Headphones Mode for no apparent reason.

    Tried everything:
    Hair Dryer
    Blow/Sucking
    Q-Tip
    Headphones in and out
    RESET
    RESTART

    Anything else?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • I getting no sound out of the USB connection in my car from my new iPod Classic. Has anyone encountered this problem?

I getting no sound out of the USB connection in my cars from my new iPod classic. The song name artist display on the console in the car but no audio. This is happening on 2 cars - Nissan Rogue and Acura TL. My older iPod classic played fine in these cars. Has anyone encountered this issue?

I have a similar problem with a 160 gb Classic, about 5 years old - if I move the plug one channel may be heard and tehn the other. The interface works but not the sound. Different ipods eg nano work perfectly.
The two cars I have are an Audi and a BMW and both have manufacturer connectors

  • New ipod classic...been able to use it for 10 min on itunes

I just got my ipod classic 3 days ago and i've only been able to use it for about 10 mins on itunes since i bought it. At first it ran ok and i put music then some films and lastly photos onto it at which point i lost the movies that i put on it and lost my connection to itunes, and haven't been able to mount/dock it again since except for brief seconds after its been plugged in for a while it suddenly recognizes it and says its corrupt and needs to be restored, which i do, only to have a look at the ipod an hour later to find nothing has been deleted from all of the 2gb being used onit and its disappeared from itunes but i still have 'restoring ipod' on screen doing nothing!!! I've tried numerous other ipod recognizing programs to try and recognize it with no luck. The only place i can see it is in device manager as 'Apple iPod USB Device' in 'disk drive', as a 'unknown device' in 'other devices', as a 'cd-rom device' in 'DVD/CD-ROM drives' and as 'Apple iPod USB Driver' in 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'. I can't do anything to the unknown device or cd-rom device but have uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled them (uninstalling/disabling the 'disk drive' USB driver ejects the ipod so i can disconnect) , reset ipod, tried disk mode, tried every port on my computer, all drivers are up to date, changed disk drive letters, reset internet explorer security and god knows what else. If anyone has anymore ideas please let me know or Apple are gonna get their ipod back....

I took my iPod back next day and the guy in the shop plugged it into a xp machine and it came straight up on iTunes. So i had no argument for taking it back as it clearly worked and was probaly vista messing it up so i've now gone back to xp (which just looks crap, btw) just to get it working! Its been a nightmare to get it working (3 nights google searching, looking on many many forums, about 50 restarts, 5 system restores, 6 hours making dvd disc back ups of files on harddrive and finally a total restore back to factory settings, (thank god for hp recovery)) And now its working i'm sticking with xp.

  • My ipod touch kept crashing and not loading apps, syncing did not solve prblem so i did the 'restore' option. now it has been stuck 'verifying restore' for more than 8 hrs!! help

i pod touch is stuck 'verifying restore' for the last 8 hrs... help??

Try putting the iPod into DFU mode and restoring again:
    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
If that still doesn't work, then the jailbreak may have cause a corruption which is now fatal; that's not uncommon with jailbroken devices. If that is indeed the case, your iPod may be irrecoverable and you'll be shopping for a new one.
    Good luck.

  • My iPod Touch 4 Generation is stuck in restore mode

I've tried restoring it numerous times but it won't come out of restore mode. It keeps saying it's up to date but won't let me sync it. What should I do?

    Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

  • My iPod has been stuck in recovery mode for 3 hours

I was trying to downgrade my iPod 5th generation from iOS 8.1.3 to 8.1 in order to install jailbreak, which, if I do somehow manage to get my iPod working again, I swear to god I will not try again. During this process, which I done using a tutorial, downloading the older version then selecting 'update' with the shift key on iTunes, with my iPod plugged in. Above as it was attempting to downgrade above was the words 'extracting', it was after this process my iPod went into reocovery mode and I have not been able to get it out since. I've tried clicking the home and off button about a million times, it just shows the apple logo briefly and then goes back to the recovery sign. I have no way of contacting apple support as I have no access to a phone and obviously can't input my serial number to perform diagnostics as it instructs via email as I can't get it on. Please help.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple. You will get errors/it will not work
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My iphone 4 is brand new and for some reason is stuck in restore mode, ive tried uninstalling itunes and almost everything else for troubleshooting. how can i get it out of restore mode?

screen shows USB cord, and an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon. After many attempts to troubleshoot & restore the iPhone 4 with iTunes its still in recovery mode. It  has shown a few error messages like 9 &1013. Can anyone shed any light on this its been two weeks and still nothing?

Actually, the phone is in recovery mode.
Error 9 indicates USB connection problem.
Error 1013 indicates security app interference or alteration of your hosts file by prior use of iphone hacking apps such as tinyumbrella.

  • The location service of my iPod touch has been stuck

I've an 4G 32GB iPod Touch, iOS 6 it have a problem, my location service has been stuck on Caracas, but I'm on a trip now, and when I conect it on a wifi network and try to get some directions it give me the location of my house in caracas, plz help.
    Greetings from venezuela.

Are you connecting to a public network or your own rrouter that you brought with you?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
    If a public network
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset network settings: Settings>GeneraL>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

She has had it for about 6 months and this is the first time we have plugged it into the computer since then.  I can not exit out of itunes either.

If you still have the problem after retoring the iPOd to factory defaults/new iPod then The iPod is likely defective and replacement is required.  You can make an appoinment at the Genius Bar of an APple store or take it back to BestBuy if within warranty

when i try to reset my ipod it stops at 10minutes and the ipod turns itself on and acts like ive done nothing to it, it has been stuck on the "connect to itunes screen" and it wont reset. why?

After you place the iPod in recovery mode using
iOS: Unable to update or restore
You have to then connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. Are you doing that?

  • My ipod has been stuck on the apple logo for two days

Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restore via iTunes:

    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot

RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:

    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too
