Send it back to the repairer, most likely the connections are not properly re-install, we cant solve hardware problems here.

  • My new iPod doesnt work!!!!!

I was just minutes ago working on my new iPod, and suddenly it froze, and all buttons would'nt work. even when i plug it to my computer, it doesnt show anything, not even that (do not dissconnect) message!!!!!

try resetting the iPod. Turn hold on, then off and press and hold menu and the enter button in the middle of the click wheel until the screen goes blank.

  • Ipod doesnt turn on?

i connected my i pod to the computer when i was installing the itunes and it started to get hot and the lcd display slowly faded and turned off, and doesnt turn back on. tried to charge it and nothing happened, i also tried to reconnected to the computer and nothing happened.

A common problem which could have resulted in this, is a power spike going through the USB port to the iPod.
When iTunes looks for a connected iPod during installation, it could happen that a power spike occurs.
That is why you are advised not to connect your iPod when installing or updating iTunes. It says so in the manual.
Apple used to have a lot of those problems with previous iPod moddels and thus added that advice in the manual to cover their ***** when it happens again.
    Good luck with your iPod!

  • New ipod wont turn on

I've just been given an new ipod nano 2g that was still in its box wrapped up. I've plugged it into my pc and downloaded some music. When it showed fully charged, I unplugged it and it switched itself off, but it wont turn back on, unless its either plugged into the pc or into the docking station. I've tried everything, resetting it, restoring the settings and nothing works. It looks like a battery problem, but how can this be if its brand new??

I am assuming while it was connected to your computer the computer did not go to sleep, as this can deplete the iPod battery.
You might try Restoring the Nano, Resyncing and Recharging and see if that works. If it does not, and this "new" iPod has been sitting around somewhere in the box for quite some time, the battery may have died as they need to be exercised. How long ago was this iPod purchased?

  • Why isn't my brand new iPod touch turning on?

I just got a brand new 4th generation 32 gb iPod touch and when I press the power button to turn it on, nothing happens. I plugged it into my computer to charge it because I thought the battery was dead but when I try charging it, nothing happens either. There's no apple logo or anything. Do I have to leave it charged for a specific amount of time for it to start working, or do I need to return it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • New iPod Nano Turns off in the middle of any track playing - Apple Bummer

So, I just received my iPod Nano as a replacement to an early generation of iPod Nano's that are subject to recall.  The new Nano has been updated as of 21 Jan 2012.  Songs loaded into iTunes under MAC OS X Lion, iPod Nano synched with my computer, and I'm ready to go.
What - not so fast!  Guess what?  The Nano turns itself off in the middle of any track you play.  I turned the shake and shuffle mode off to make sure that is not it.  And it is fully charged.  I even went through the reset procedures.
So its less than 24 hours new/old so I go for Apple support.  My original iTunes etc accounts are associated with my house in America.  But I live in the UK right now.  So drill through Apple support and guess what?  Well, I live in London so no support is available.  And the Apple web site as usual does not provide much help in making calls.
Apple's web site says there is no coverage on this as it is out of warranty?  24 hours new?  No warranty.  It says it comes with a one year warranty. And Apple UPS'd it to me yesterday.
So question 1 is:  Does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it?  I hope it isn't operator head space but who knows, maybe it is.
And question 2:  Does anybody have a good 800 number for me to call in the USA?
    Many thanks.

I have the same problem and wondered if it was loosey goosey headphones which were just cheap 10 dollars buds.  So are you saying I should get new ear phones that fit tighter?
That would be my guess....Here is what Apple has to say about the problem.
       http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3700
My guess is that it is a compatibility problem with older or aftermarket ear buds.  My daughter has a 6th generation Nano and does not have this problem but keep in mind she is using the ear buds that came with the 6th Generation Nano.  With the replacement program they are not sending new ear buds.  I just did a test with my daughters 6th Generation Nano using an old set of aftermarket ear buds I had in my desk and I was able to duplicate your issue.  I then used the ear buds from my Iphone 4s and did not have an issue with the Nano going to sleep and the music turning off.

  • Ipod doesnt turns on

well just a few seconds ago, i got the "20 percent battery" message, so i pressed the on/off button to lock my ipod, then i just tossed it to my bed, then got it again, all this happened in less than 2 minutes, so i tried to get a new app, but after pressing the home button, the on/off button nothing happened so i though " ohh maybe it has not battery, so i plug it to the charger, nothing happened, un plug it and plugged it to my computer and nothing, i tunes just popped out but my ipod didnt show, i try to turn it on but nothing happens NOTHING, i dont even have a day with it !!! its an iPod touch 4g

Ok, at least I'm not alone. I was just on my 4th generation 32g itouch, I put it down for 15 seconds, and now the **** thing won't turn on. The battery was fully charged, it's never been dropped or mistreated, and I've had it since Dec 20. What the **** is going on? This was an upgrade from the 3rd generation yet I never had any problems. Apple help us, you get us addicted to these things like they are an extra limb we can't live without. And then it goes kaput. • IPod doesnt turn off

My iPod doesn't turn off, it does go into sleep mode, but that still drains my battery. Perhaps because of this, I only get about 6 hours of battery life. I have tried Holding Play/Pause, as friends of mine have theirs turn off, I have tried reseting several times, I have tried any and every update I can find. And as far as I have been able to tell, the Support site has no idea that this is a problem and because of that I cannot get service for it.

Try placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then restoring.
If not succesfull, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try again.

  • My ipod doesnt' turn on!
