New Ipod Nano 6th generation 16 GB Battery duration

Hi! Im from Argentina , and apple dont have support here.
I bought it in NYC 1 week ago.
I full charge the battery and i can use it , but when i turn it off and i pick it up 4 or 6 hours later the battery is empty.
I dont know why , i turn it off well and the baterry was full in the beginning.
Help?

I have this same problem but only on one or two PC's. I'm not sure if it an XP thing, as the other two PC's I transferred on were Vista and were quick. However, my transfer on XP is at a snails pace. It ****** me off and makes me not want to put anything else on here because I don't have hours on end to wait.
If anyone knows of a fix for this, I'm more than sure all in this thread will be happy!
PLEASE HELP!

  • New iPod nano 6th generation won't charge.

I just bought a new ipod nano 6th generation multi-touch. I opened it and it had no charge and a black screen, no surprise I assumed it just has no juice in it. I plugged it into my macbook pro via the USB cord included and after leaving it attached for over 3 hours it still has yet to charge or offer me more than a black screen. Is there any way to remedy this? Am I doing something wrong? Is it just simply dead and I need to return it for another? I have a half marathon to run in a week and I'd like to know soon so I can have it for the race x.x

If it does not get enough juice from the USB port, it will not charge.
You should NOT connect it to a USB hub. Connect it directly to the computer. If you use a desktop computer, use one of the ports on the back, not one on the front, which tend to be lower power.
You say you are using a macbook, which tend to be better about power. Make sure you don't have any settings that turn off power to the usb ports when the computer goes to sleep. Check your power settings in the settings screen.

  • New ipod nano 6th generation used 3 times. Screen remains black despite a full reset. Something special to do ?

Hi, I just bought a new ipod nano and used it 3 times. Today it did not work and I first believed that the battery was too low. I connected the device to the mac. Sync worked well and charge indicator as well. Nevertheless, the screen remained black. I therefore tried to reset the device and after the resetting, the screen remains as black as before. Any solution ? thanks and regards

  • Can I still buy a new iPod nano 6th generation from Apple Store?

I like 6th gen. really much and would like to buy a spare one!!

If it's from a local Apple Store, you would have to call them and ask.  If it's from Apple's online store, you only can from the refurbished section. Otherwise, you'll have to look on other retailer's websites to find and order them.

  • IPod Nano 6th Generation Pedometer

I have a brand new iPod Nano 6th Generation, which has the built in Pedometer into it. For some reason, when I go to use it with Nike+ and syncing it to iTunes it doesn't work. None of the Walks I have done actually go onto the Nike+ website. Nike+ claims I have no devices.
I have it set to Automatically Send to Nikeplus.com
I already have a Nike+ account, and I have alone tried to sync walks. It claims there sync'd, and I click Visit Site, but it takes me to http://nikeplus.nike.com/plus/?token=blahblah=2&wtype=pedometer, but then I click around and there are no devices.

    I have a nano6.
I am not able to synchro.
But reading Nike guide on the nano6 I have found that, you can read it on this discussion:
    ipod nano and nike plus
    or :
“Nike+ Active is taking a break.
The site will be down while we move to the new Nike+. Your steps, runs and gym workouts are safe and sound. When Nike+ Active returns this fall, your data will be there -- on a platform that lets you do more than ever before. Thanks for conquering the world with us, and, in the meantime, check out the new Nike+.”
Is this the answer? It is so...big that I am not even convinced. Have they closed the site for 2 month or more just to develop a new site!?

  • New iPod Nano 6th Gen just got it going today and it won't stay on. It starts playing a song and pauses (shuts down?) after a few seconds. It's fully charged what do i do? Help please!!

New iPod Nano 6th generation just got it going today. It is fully charged but shuts off a few seconds into a song, what do I do?

I received mine yesterday as replacement for 1st generation and yes I had exactly the same problem.
I don't think it is anything to do with headphone plug [jack].
I played around with the settings and have just managed to listen to three hours without problem.
Music settings; shake to shuttle off, sound check off, double click - play/pause, audio cross fade and group compilation on. Can't be all these but trial and error as to which one - unfortunately it came without instructions.
The only other thing was that I had it in pocket while i was moving whereas yesterday I was sat at desk with nano at rest.

  • IPod Nano 6th Generation Won't Eject

iTunes recognizes my new iPod Nano (6th Generation) and I can add music, playlists, etc.  When I go to eject (both through iTunes or through Finder/desktop), the eject process seems to freeze and the iPod is not completely ejected.  Furthermore, I have tried to restore the iPod through iTunes and the disk will just spin after decompressing the iPod software package.  I have also tried reinstalling iTunes and still have the same issue.  I'm looking for any suggestions on how to address.
    Thanks.

Both itunes and ipod flash "sync in progress", then it stops and says sync complete, but no music was transfered. I restored the ipod thinking that was the issue, but it continues. I unchecked manually managing the music and in devices i unchecked "stop ipod from automatically syncing". What is wrong?

  • Standby mode iPod nano 6th generation

I have a new iPod nano 6th generation. Whenever it goes into standby mode the music turns off. What can I do? Shouldn't it continue to run?

Make sure your headphones are plugged ALL the way in.  When the backlight of your iPod goes off and the music stops playing, it means that your Nano is not properly detecting your headphones/earbuds.  So give the headphones a litlte bit of an extra push and make sure there is no metal part of the jack showing.

  • My ipod (nano, 6th generation) won't sync to a new computer with different stuff on it. It *appears* to sync but when it's done it still has the stuff from the other computer on it. What to do?

My ipod (nano, 6th generation) won't sync to a new computer with different stuff on it. Itunes on the new computer doesn't give the usual warning that you are about to lose all your existing stuff and the ipod *appears* to sync but when it's done it still has the stuff from the other computer on it. What to do?

  • Something new about for new update for ipod nano 6th generation

Hello, something new about for new update for ipod nano 6th generation , clock faces and others..

What on Earth are you talking about???

  • The battery life on my ipod nano 6th generation only lasts about 2 hours.  Is this standard or should it last longer?

The batterly life on my ipod nano 6th generation only lasts about 2 hours.  Is this standard or should it last longer?

    - When sleeping the iPod can use wifi and if it has trouble connecting it will keep trying and drain the battery.  I leave mine in airplane mode when sleeping. Otherwise it is frequenlty drained like you see on yours.
    - The rapid drop whe playing vido seems to indicae that something is wrong.
    - If your iPod is defective and under warranty, Apple will give you a refurbished one of the same model.

  • The volume increase button is stuck on my iPod nano (6th Generation) and I can't turn the volume up. Is there a way to fix it?

I have the iPod nano 6th generation, and I have had it since Christmas 2011 so it isn't that old; recently I went to listen to my music and found that the volume increase button is stuck (basically it's like when you press the volume button down to increase the volume, except it is stuck down like that and won't come back up) but it was only stuck about 3/4 of the way down. For about a week this was ok, I just had to press the button harder to make it go down and increase the volume, but now it won't increase the volume at all and it feels and looks as though the button is stuck the whole way in, even when I press the button with some force. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could fix it or if I need to take it to an apple store for them to fix it?!
Sorry if the way I have explained the problem is confusing, it's difficult to explain but it's extremely frustrating.

This happened to me a few weeks ago.  Instead of taking it to the Apple store and paying $ the 99 service charge ( I did give Apple 139.00 13 months ago! for this ipod), I saturated the end of a q-tip w/ WD 40 and carfefully rubbed around the perimeter of the power button.  I waited a half hour and then cleaned of the excess WD 40.  This unstuck my power button.  I guess the WD 40 dissovled all the dirt under and around (also the consrtuction of the buttons is done w/ double sided tape-- maybe a design issue) the button.  A friend tried isopropyl alcohol w/ great results.  Try this before you give Appple any more $$ or get a new ipod.  It's been 6 wks. and my button functions perfectly,

  • HT1459 MY IPOD NANO 6TH GENERATION WILL NOT TURN ON I GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS AND PLAYED THE RADIO ON IT WITH OUT PLUGING IT INOT ITUNES AND I WAS WONERING HOW TO FIX IT ?

hi my ipod nano 6th generation will not turn on what should i do ...no batery left and never pluged it into itunes

    Hi meganisawsome,
If your iPod will not turn on and you are getting indicators that there is no battery left, the first step would be to make sure that the iPod has been charged correctly. You may find the following article useful:

Good afternoon, I would like some information I have an ipod nano 6th generation and has the same one-year warranty is only 2 months of use, and it fell down and broke the glass of the display, I called technical assistance in Brazil and informed me that Brazil has no repair services for Apple, which was the basis of its price change in the exchange is not worth half the value of the product.
I wonder how I do to change this device without the expense of 50% for the same product is in warranty?
    Thanks in advance.

yes agree, plus a multinational seeing a product and has no technical assistance to do the maintenance then it's no use I buy a new product if it is damaged I will always be because it has no prejudice in this maintenance.
sorry but even more products coming from China to Brazil in technical assistance.
