New iSync 2.2 still not working with Nokia 6230

I was very pleased to see iSync 2.2 come out yesterday and have support for the series 40 phones - however after Installing 10.4.6 on my new MacBook Pro, and opening iSync, the phone is found by Add Device, but when I go to add it I get the message:
"Your phone, 'xxxx' does not work with this version of iSync.
To enable this phone to work with iSync, contact the phone’s manufacturer or your service provider to update the firmware on your phone. For more information, visit the iSync Support website."
The picture comes up but even if I drag the phone icon to the iSync window I can not sync it - 'Turn on Device Synchronization' will not stay ticked and clicking on Sync ends in a window saying it can't sync until I add a device to iSync.
The Phone is properly paired with the computer through Bluetooth Device Setup. (Address Book works with it just fine, as does file browsing)
Has anyone been able to get their series 40 or more specifically 6230 phones working with iSync 2.2?
Many thanks

  • Bluetooth in Subaru still not working with ios update

Bluetooth is still not working in my Subaru with my iphone 6.  I've updated the iOS to 8.1, done most of the suggested tips I've read on line and my phone will still not find my car's (or my plantronic headset).  Bluetooth does work with my jawbone speaker, but that's it.  I'm looking for any new suggestions. Thanks

  • Canoscan 9950F still not working with 11/26 fix from Canon

Just reported this to Canon. Image Capture and VueScan both work. I can get the scanner to work on a MBP but not on the G4 iMac .... except on a fresh install and only one user account. I you create a 2nd user (not even migrate data, just create a 2nd user), the Canon Toolbox appears to lose its pathing to the scanner driver. Bizarre.
I've deleted the TWAIN driver manually and using the Canon utility (from the web site). I've installed, reinstalled, uninstalled every combination of Toolbox and TWAIN driver imaginable. So it's back with Canon .... close but

This may not help you, but here is what I found.
I have a Flatscreen G4 iMac 1.2G. I have had no end of trouble with the USB ports since moving to Leopard.
The first problem I had was that TimeMachine would not work with my Seagate 500G FreeAgent disk. Sometimes it would not mount, file corruption etc. Thought I had a stuffed USB adaptor.
Somewhere amongst this greif I notice that my Canon LIDE50 scanner would not work any more.
There are numerous threads around the place on this issue. This scanner is claimed to not work with Leopard. Anyway, at this point I disconnected the scanner and also upgraded to 10.5.1. TimeMachine now works fine.
Since then, the scanner has been on our MacBook Pro using BootCamp. I did try Vuescan, it does work, but I'd rather use the Canon tools for what I'm doing.
Tonight I did a bit of poking around to make sure all the files for the scanner installed in the right places. During this process I notice the USB disk had gone missing again. To cut a long story short, the USB disk and the Canon LIDE50 scanner are mutually exclusive. Plug only the scanner in, it works. Plug only the disk in, it works. Plug them both in, neither work! At this point I'm shutting down and restarting to change them over, but at least I have a work around.

I've branched this to it's own thread, since the issue you're experiencing is unrelated to the one you replied to, and it would be confusing to try and handle them in the same thread.

  • Caller ID not working with Nokia 6600?

I have a T-Mobile (US) Nokia 6600, and I can't seem to get address book to display incoming SMS or the caller ID of incoming calls. I've successfully paired the phone via bluetooth, and I can make address book dial the phone and send an sms. I can sync via iSync, use my phone as a modem, etc. etc.
But regardless of what settings I tweak, I can't seem to get Address Book to show a bezel of any kind on incoming calls - not even an 'Unknown Caller' message! Am I missing something obvious? Third party apps like BluePhoneElite work just fine, so I'm pretty sure it's something wrong with Address Book...

The Caller ID issue was due to an outage. It should be resolved anytime soon. Can yu log out and log back in. Go to app settings and in notifications and turn CAller ID off and on.

  • New iTunes still not working with 64 bit operating systems?

When will iTunes support advanced 64 bit operating systems...
Would seem that a next generation phone would work with the next generation of operating systems...

iTunes does work with vista 64 bit. I can sync my iPod with it. It's the 'Apple Mobile Device Support' portion that is required by the iPhone that isn't working.

  • SDM still not working with Java v6u15

I keep waiting for Java to work some day with their updates on Cisco SDM. Update 14 at least allowed SDM to open. But the new update 15 still hasn't passed the test of clicking on the Configure button and then the Additional Task button. It just doesn't do anything. If it is something that Cisco can fix, please be aware.
    Thanks,
    .. Jim ..

Hi Jim, you need to downgrade the JAVA version on the computer you want to use SDM.
SDM does not support java after: 6u3.
Cisco SDM requires Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE). The following versions are supported:
    •JRE 1.5_09
    •JRE1.4.2_08
    •JRE 1.5.0_06
    •JRE 1.5.0_07
    •JRE 1.6.0_02
    •JRE 1.6.0_03
    As per the release notes.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/cisco_router_and_security_device_manager/software/release/notes/SDMr25.html
    This will resolve your issue.
Cisco does not plan to fix this as SDM is end of life.
The product that replaces SDM is CCP: Cisco Configuration Professional, that one works with JAva 6 update 14, but it's a different product. It's also a freeware you can download from our website.

  • "Push" E-Mail still not working with iPhone!

I'm not sure what the problem is here with Yahoo and Apple but to this day I still encounter very big issues with push E-Mail regarding Yahoo and Apple...it just doesn't work! I now have a new iPhone (2G, 16GB) because I dropped my old one and the screen cracked (cement ouch). Anyways I got my new phone last week (via eBay) and once again push mail is not working. I either have to manually check or mail comes in when it feels like it...in some cases HOURS later! Or if my phone is locked/asleep the mail doesn't come into my phone until I pick up my phone and start using it. Yesterday I went to go use my phone, I slid the slider to unlock it to bring me to my home screen, the mail icon showed no mail. The next thing I know all this mail starts pouring into my phone (22 messages to be exact)! I was like geeze...this is so messed up!

Push email continues to not function properly for me as well. The only time it ever works is if I'm actively on the phone after its been sleeping for a while, or when it polls for my other email accounts (in which case I get my "push" email at the same intervals as my regular email, making push worthless).
None of the other functions of the iPhone does this. When I receive a call or SMS text message, my phone notifies me immediately. What is the purpose of having "push" email that notifies me when I received new mail if I have to still manually check my device? This has been one of the iPhone 3G's weaknesses since launch and STILL has yet to be fixed.
Running iPhone 2.2. Software 2.2.1 did not address any changes with Mail.

  • FireFox 3.6.16 still not working with Flash!

Since updating to the latest version of FireFox 3.6 I have not been able to watch flash video's on YouTube and other sites, also any flash based content is blank or black.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a G5 PPC so Flash 10.1.102.64, the latest for PPC Mac's.
I've gone through all the usual steps of disabling plug-in's and extensions with no luck.
I'm also using the latest Safari 5 and it is still working with YouTube and other Flash sites.
ETA - Just found something weird, if I launch the QuickTime Player (not the plug-in) after launching FireFox then Flash appears to act normally, even after quiting QT.

    @cor-el
Thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding. As i understood now it is in fact only a "DOM storage data" topic.
    Quote from betterprivacy:
''"Disabling DOM storage (instead of deleting the file on shutdown) causes a website script to throw an exception. This means that the execution of the script is aborted immediately, not just the DOM storage instruction is ignored. None of the following script instructions would be executed, even if those instructions have nothing to do with DOM storage. That is the reason why -with DOM storage disabled- sites like CNN.com will cease to play videos."''

  • IPhone 5 still not working with 5GHz wireless frequency?

Even with the latest 6.0.2 update, for sure the iPhone 5 has some sort of bug that prevents it from streaming properly using the 5GHz frequency in dual-band routers.  I just got a brand new Netgear 600N wireless router (for home) and brand new Belkin 750 dual band (for work).  Both have 5GHz band frequency option, but on either one, the iPhone 5 hardly downloads, or at all.  It's as if a 14.4 K modem and molases had a baby.
Switching to 2.4GHz, and download speeds are normal relative to my service provider.
It's not the distance of the iPhone to the routers either, because they're literally an arm's length away when I'm testing it.
APPLE, what do you have to say about this?

Hi Tom from Jabra - One question - I got IPhone 5 do I NEED to spend the extra bucks on a HALO2 Apple version, or save the dollar for other accessories ?
In other words: Will the HALO2 (not the Apple version) work with Apple and non Apple devices?
In advance thanks for your time!

  • HP photosmart c309g still not working with os maverick???

i dont understand why this is still not fixed - over a year later!!
I'm not sure wether to get rid of my HP pinter scanner or my mac!!
Everytime i scan i get a black page- using apple preview is a joke.
According to the threads people were complaining about this in 2013.
Please if there is a real solution to this problem let me know!

Hello @mpaige , and Welcome to the HP Community!
I read your post about how when you scan with Apple Preview, the scan turns up all black.
Although there is no driver or software available for the Photosmart C309g model on Mavericks, meaning you do not have the option to scan using HP software, you do have two other method options to try and scan.
Click this link and see under "How do I scan with the built-in driver":
Installing Your HP Printer Driver and Software for Mac OS X
Also, you can try downloading this driver from Apple, that might help too:
HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X
Just a tip: Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Also a basic reset might help as well:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
If you find that when you make standard copies from the front panel of printer, that they also turn out black, the printer itself may have a hardware problem. If this is the case, I'd suggest calling HP directly.

  • Palm Pre still not working with IMAP on Lotus Notes

Even after Web OS 1.1 I still can not get my Palm Pre to Sync with my works IMAP Lotus Notes. We use a self siged cert, so I did a manual move of the cert to my Palm Pre (instructions I got on this site)  Next I instlled the cert  with the Cert Mgr. It installed fine. When I run a manual sync all I get is the yellow error triangle. It does pull down all my Lotus Notes  E-Mail Folders but no E-Mail. I know this config is fine, becuse I can duplicate the setup in my PC E-mail Cleint Thunderbird and it works fine to send a rec mail. Can someone from this site or Palm  Support help. I am going to have to move to the I-Phone if you can't get this working soon. Other people must have the same problem.
    Thanks Again....
    Post relates to: Palm m515

Don't feel alone in this, I have the exact same issues, folders show up but not emails.
I am a network engineer by trade and have tried all of the listed solutions and many unlisted solutions.
I think its a case of IBM not caring about mobile phone users in general and IMAP standards in particular and Palm not caring  a great deal about Domino users with Palm Pre's because there are likely not too many of them.
But hey, they got their money from me for the phone so why should they care anymore?
Some of us have to use Domino, no choice, we had hoped to use Palm Pre's.  I can get IPhones to work with Domino and IMAP so I guess thats going to be one part of the market Palm is going to lose... Its Palms choice.
