New iTunes buys wont sync from phone to computer - Help please!!

Hi,
When I have tried to sync up my phone to my laptop I have found that some of the music and films that I have downloaded to my phone don't come through to my laptop. Basically my question is if I restore my phone to the previous backup, will I lose everything that I have bought since that last backup? Or is there some way of getting them back from the store if I've already paid for them?
Sorry for being dense but I've had an Iphone for over 3 years now and this is my 1st problem so I've never needed to investigate further! - I'm one of the lucky ones ;0)

If you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab, Sync Movies selected under the Movies tab, sync TV Shows under the TV Shows tab (you aren't manually managing music and video with your iPhone), and you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, after downloading a song, a movie, a tv show, and a 3rd party app direct with your iPhone, the song, movie, tv show, and 3rd party app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
No iTunes content on your iPhone is included with your iPhone's backup. All iTunes content on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer. If you are manually managing music and video with your iPhone, then is a manual process in both directions. You must manually transfer music and movies/tv shows from your iPhone to your iTunes library. This will not be done automatically by iTunes for music and videos when manually managing music and videos - manual means manual all the way in this regard.

Me too. And I just noticed a newer post saying the same thing. Actually, my phone will show up as charging from the USB port -- but it will not sync. At all. Not just the itunes -- not calendar... nothing. The wireless sync for email seems to work, but the hard sync and iTunes don't show up at all.
Just wanted to second your question, so that perhaps we can get a reply more quickly.

New itunes library wont sync to my old ipod

i have recently got new laptop and installed a new itunes. my ipod was synced with another library a couple of years ago and i want to remove all the songs from the ipod and sync with my new library. When i connect the ipod itnes recognises the device but it doest give me the option to erase and sync. How can i get my new library onto my ipod?

Did you restore to factory settings/new iPod when connected to this iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Music I downloaded offline plays in iTunes but wont sync to my iPod. HELP

I just got a Macbook Pro yesterday so im definitely a newbie....anyways, I downloaded three songs from soundcloud today (so its legal). They downloaded normally and they play in itunes but they wont sync to my ipod touch!! Itunes doesnt give me a message about them not syncing either, so its like theyre not even there. HELPPPP. Is the problem with my ipod or the computer? i download alot of music from the internet and i dont want this to keep happening!

Why can't I move songs from my old iPod to my new iTunes acct and why can't i move new songs from my new iTunes acct to my old iPod?? Help please!

I forgot my user name and password to my old iTunes account. Apple was unable to assist me in recovering the old account so I opened a new iTunes account. I connected my old iPod to my new iTunes account but cannot move music from the iPod to the new iTunes account, and vice versa... if anyone can help me - I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

Was all of the music that is on your older iPod purchased with that older content or is some of it also other content imported originally from outside of iTunes? You won't be able to purchased content from the older account to your new iTunes library unless you can remember/regain access to that older account.
For other content, you can transfer it using one of the many suggestions mentioned in this older post by another forum member Zevoneer.

As to not being able to sync any new content to your iPod, it's likely because you are trying to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library. iPods were designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. So your iPod does not recognize this new library as the one it was originally set up with. In order to associate the iPod with the new library, you need to restore it to factory settings in iTunes by clicking the Restore button from under the iPod's Summary tab.
Of course you won't want to do this until you have successfully moved all the older content off it into your new library.

HT1296 Need help with sync from phone to computer

When I sync my phone to my laptop, I would like info I entered on the calendar on my phone to be added to the calendar on my computer. I can only get it to sync from computer to phone. I need to update both
any ideas. I have searched the help files and can't find this anywhere

My problem is similar. I just upgraded from the 4S to the 5 and I used to be able to sync the calendar on my iMac and iPhone using iCloud without getting duplicates by selecting/deselecting the appropriate calendars on the respective devices. Everything synced as I entered it.
I'm pretty sure it was working with the 5 until recently...
Today I noticed that an event I entered on the 5 for last week didn't show up on my iMac. When I checked the EDIT screen on the phone to see what calendars were checked, only the calendar for that event was (on the All on my iPhone). All but the Unfiled calendar are checked on the All on my iCloud. When I unchecked and rechecked the calendars under the Phone didn't help. Can't get the thing to sync...

how do I auto sync music from iphone to computer, but keep from auto syncing from my computer to the phone? There is not enough memory on my phone to handle everthing on my computer and want to back up purchases made from my phone without having to remember what I bought and manually syncing. Thanks

Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.
Connect device, right-click on it in the side bar and use transfer purchases.
Edit your sync settings so that a reasonable subset of your library is scheduled to sync to it rather than everything.

This just started happening to me this week but I've had the 3G iPhone since it came out. The Apple Tech Support lady said it has something to do with the phone picking up the signal from the closest tower but if that was the case then I would have had this problem in my apartment before. I asked if this meant that someone had built a new Edge tower nearer to me than a 3G one and she didn't seem to understand why I was asking.

New itunes 11 wont sync new music to iphone

I downloaded the new version of iTunes the otherday and this morning I downloaded a new cd I've been waiting for for a while. Now that its downloaded and on my computer I can't for the life opf me get it to sync to my iphone. Ive tried to manually update songs, automatically update them, turn it off and on nothing I do gets the new music to my phone and I'm going crazy over here

mine will appear to sync then after its complete the display bar showing memory usage immediately retracts to how it was before syncing. Purchased itunes music won't sync from phone to computer

I downloaded a preordered album today onto my iphone 5. The songs will show up under the artist name and album but NOT in (either) purchased playlists. I went to put the new album onto my computer from my iphone and it will not back up. I also tryed to go onto itunes via my computer and get the purchased album from my history but it would not give me an option to download it from the cloud.
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution??

Itunes won't sync from my home computer to my iphone 6

I bought my iphone 6 yesterday. It has no music on it. I went home to sync it with my home computer and got this message on itunes: "The iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone. To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store > Authorize This Computer."
I don't have any purchased items on my new iPhone.
I then followed their directions and slicked on Store > Authorize This Computer and put in the apple id and then got this message: "This computer is already authorized. Including this one, you have 2 computers out of your available 5."
Any ideas on what I need to do to get MY music from my computer to my iPhone 6?

How to I get my emails to sync from phone to computer

How do I get my iphone and computer to sync emails? If I erase an email on the phone it is still on the computer.

E-mails are not synced at all.
It sounds like you have a POP account (designed for one device/computer).
See if you can set up an IMAP account (designed for mutliple devices/computers) with your provider.

Trying to set up new iPhone to back up from iCloud...HELP Please!

The phone is brand new out of the box. When I try to log in to my iCloud it keeps saying "invalid device while updating mme delegate account". I have succesfully logged into my iCloud account from my Mac. Why would I get this warning!? Thank you!

Not sure why, but when I continued to try, it finally allowed me past that screen. Now, the "Choose backup" circle is just spinning. Proabably 5 minutes now. Any idea if it usually takes this long to find the backups available!?

I have a Mac os version 10.6.8. When I try and update my itunes on the computer it shows that this type of computer is okay to be part of the update. When I update it, it will show that the update is complete. I restart the computer and then reopen itunes and it says the same thing, and when I go to see what version it is it is still the 11.0. Please help I have no idea what else to do

I just bought "boulder madness" on my bold, i have the reciept and everything but when i try to find it on my playbook i cant find it, when i search it, it says i have to purchase it again!! Can someone please help me with this issue.

The vendor can choose whether the app is the same product on various devices or not. They could publish seperate products for each individual device, language, carrier, if it makes sense. Or they could bundle them all under one product. As the PlayBook and BB7 phone apps are very different, vendors often publish them as different products too.
