New itunes license agreement in weird symbols

i'm not going to accept a license agreement written in boxes and other weird symbols. is there a fix for this?

In the 'Apple Software Update' program, I'm also getting this little blurb below the availabe software list that describes the new iTunes as such:
'Rent and download your favorite movies with iTunes on your computer or directly to your living room on Apple TV. Enjoy rented movies in sizes up to 720p HD with surround sound on your Apple TV and sizes up to DVD-quality on your computer. Transfer your rented movies from iTunes to your iPod or iPhone and enjoy them on the go.
Also, purchase and download your favorite TV shows, music, and more directly on your Apple TV. Effortlessly transfer purchases made on Apple TV back to your computer with iTunes.'
Is this indeed the case for Canadians? (That would be sweet, of course, but I'm doubtful). I should just accept and find out, I suppose.

  • New user iTunes license agreement.

I am new to ipod, but the licensing agreement and registration page are cut off on the screen and the buttons to continue on are cut off or non existant. There is no horizontal scroll bar, and I can't seem to adjust the box large enough to see the rest of the page, even when maximized. You cannot continue to use ipod until the terms are agreed upon, but it won't let me past due to this error!?!?

Try increasing your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 so you can see the whole page, you'll find the instructions on this Microsoft page: Windows XP - Change your monitor resolution

  • Shuffle contents not showing in itunes, license agreement wont go away

When my shuffle is connected it does not show the contents in itunes. It shows that it is connected and the license agreement shows up in the window. After accepting the agreement it saves it to my computer but then still remains there. How do I get to the list of the songs on my shuffle?

Set your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 and click Continue at the lower right of the iTunes window.

  • Gettng past iTunes license agreement

    Hello
After buying my girlfriend an iPod Touch for xmas, I am trying to install iTunes on her Toshiba NB505 running Windows 7. This is a mini-laptop already at max resolution of 1024x600.
I am unable to scroll to the buttons in the license agreement, that appears when first starting iTunes so I am stuck on the agreement. Researching, I find that the medicine for this problem is to raise the screen resolution. But since the laptop is already at max resolution, this is not an option.
Anybody know how to get around this problem?
    Thanks

  • IE10 Windows7 - iTunes opens maybe 3 times and then it thinks i am a new user.  I ge the license agreement again.  Apple SR Techs cannot figure it out.  Does this have to do with IE10?

Windows 7 - installed IE10.  Now every few times iTunes is opened I get the 'user license' agreement as if i am a new user.  Apple SR techs have been working with me for weeks and have NOT solved this problem.  i have a iPhone 4S, but this happens before I even plug in.  Can you help?  Also, second question:
Also, I have two apple accounts (mistake) and apple says that they cannot delete the invalid one!  When I finally can get on iTunes it asks if I want to merge or replace - I am told to do neither (i am syncing by plugging in the 4S to my computer - i have Outlook).  SO... right now i am unable to sync.  SR Tech says having the 2 accounts is not the problem - actually - 2 techs said it was and 1 says it is not.  SO frustrating!  Is there a way to resolve this?

Not so sure about the suplemental question, but see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for tips to make sure you don't lose content from the device.

  • ITunes 10.5 won't run after accepting license agreement

I've been searching message boards for the past 2 days trying to figure out what's going on but have found nothing. I'm running Windows XP Pro. I updated to iTunes 10.5 only so I can update my iphone to IOS5. The install went fine without any errors. When the installation was complete, I double clicked to load iTunes 10.5 and it opened up the software agreement screen, I clicked agree and then agreement window disappears and then nothing, just nothing...
I have done this several times. I've uninstalled itunes and reinstalled itunes, still the same thing. Then I went drastic and I uninstalled every single bit of apple software on my computer and then downloaded new versions from the apple site and reinstalled everything only to get the same result! No matter what I do, everytime I try to run iTunes 10.5 it only opens the software license agreement screen and does absolutely nothing once you click "accept."
I've looked at all of the processes running and itunes appears in the process list once I run it but then after I agree to the license agreement, it dissappears from the process list after a few seconds.
    This is ridiculous.

Configure Internet Options (for Windows computers only):
Run iTunes Diagnostics. If the "Secure link to iTunes Store" section does not pass, do the following.
    Open Internet Explorer.
From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.
    Click Connections.
Under "Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking," choose "Never dial a connection." It may not be possible to choose this if you’ve never used dial-up Internet; if this is the case, skip to the next step.
    Click LAN Settings.
In the window that opens, enable the option to "Automatically detect settings" if it is not enabled.
iTunes uses Internet Options proxy settings. Apple recommends removing proxy settings that interfere with access to the iTunes Store if needed.
    Click OK.
    Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security section and look for the option to "Check for server certificate revocation." If it is enabled, disable it.
Look for Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0. Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and click OK (You can select both checkboxes).
Apply any changes, and restart your computer if you modified the option to "Check for server certificate revocation" (step #11).
    Rebuild network information.
    WindowsWindows XP:
From the Start menu, choose Run.
In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7:
From the Start menu, choose All Programs > Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose "Run as Administrator" from the shortcut menu. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store.
If you want to have Windows try to restore the hosts to default, follow the "FixIt" in How do I reset the hosts file back to the default?.
Note: Work systems may put information into the hosts file. Consult whomever is responsible for supporting Windows on your system before resetting the hosts file to default.
If restoring the defaults did not resolve the issue, you can find your hosts file at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC .
Select the hosts file. Choose Edit > Copy, and then choose Edit > Paste.
There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7).
Drag the original hosts file to your Desktop. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
Drag the "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) to the Desktop.
Right-click "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
When Notepad opens, choose Edit > Select All, and then choose  Edit > Delete.
From the File menu, choose Save. Quit Notepad.
Drag the "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) file from your Desktop back into the original location (given in step 2). If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
Right-click the  "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) file, and choose Rename. Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
Restart your computer and try connecting to the iTunes Store.

  • Is anyone else afraid of the new 14,338 word iTunes license?

I opened iTunes today, went to purchase a song and was presented with a new iTunes (Australia) license which scared me a little, the thing is over 14 thousand words, of which I don't have a great deal of time or effort to read. Why is it so long? Couldn't it be more consice? I'm sure that there would be a lot of people that would see how long it is and simply click `Accept'.
Does anyone else agree with this?
I'm considering not using iTunes anymore because the license has gotten a little too complicated for me.

Why is it so long? One word: lawyers. Not only Apple's but those of the content providers, all of whom want to cover all possible contingencies. The other download stores that offer similar content and services have agreements of similar length.
I haven't gone over the new agreement word by word to compare it with the former version, but I don't see anything significant that's changed. If you don't want to agree to the new agreement, though, it's your call. But you'll need to wade through similar legalese on any download store you want to use.
    Regards.

  • Itunes Won't Launch After Licensing Agreement

Whenever I try to launch Itunes, by double clicking the icon, the licensing agreement flashes by very fast and then Itunes does not launch. I believe I had 6.0, but when that wasn't launching, I downloaded the new version (7.0), I believe. I've noticed quicktime is similar and will not launch. I've deleted and reinstalled multiple times, but the same thing keeps happening. Any suggestions?

I've tried looking in preferences, itunes help doc. and stretching the window using the mouse, to no avail.

  • Itunes 6.0 stuck at Software License Agreement

    Hello,
I am having a great deal of trouble with running the new itunes. I downloaded the itunes 6.0.4 and quicktime, but when I click to open it, the itunes software license agreement shows up for less than a second, then closes by itself. If I click on it again it does the same thing. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. Also, when I try to open the quicktime it opens for less than a second and closes automatically.
Will someone please help me fix this problem because I just bought a video 30gb and I need to have this version of itunes to transfer my songs

    Hi there and welcome.
Tell me, what antivirus programs do you run on that PC? Many times, they interfere with the successful download and install of iTunes. Can you get Quicktime to open at all? Make sure Quicktime was installed because iTunes cannot work without Quicktime.
If it was not installed, try the standalone download of Quicktime. I have the link if you need it. Turn OFF antivirus and firewall programs prior to downloading iTunes. Instead of running it over the internet, save it to your desktop or Harddrive. Post back and let us know

  • HT201304 Where the heck is the 'agree' button on new iTunes conditions e-mail

Where the heck is the 'agree' button on new iTunes conditions e-mail ?

I was certain that that couldn't be the problem because I could play music from my daughter's computer and she could play stuff from mine, so I was positive that home sharing was all set.  When I went through that article, however, I found that I had missed a step.  It's weird that you can access a family member's computer even though home sharing isn't set up entirely!
In any case, thank you very much for your time.  I'm embarrassed that the answer was out there, googleable, and even a page that I had looked at already, but you were incredibly gracious anyway.    Good karma to you, sberman!

  • License Agreement Screen Appears Every Time I Open iTunes

iTunes acts as if this is a brand new install every time the software opens. Viewing settings are no longer saved forcing me to reset the menu and sidebars. Playback is not seamless between CD tracks. I have uninstalled software and all related programs, re-installed all and continue with the same issues.

I am having the same issue since yesterday.  Every time I launch itunes, the license agreement comes up.
I decided to upgrade to itunes 11.1.3 to see if the problem might go away, but the problem is still there.
    I am on Windows 8.

  • ITunes asking me to accept software licensing agreement every time.

I just got a new PC, and downloaded iTunes. Every time I opened iTunes, it prompts me to agree to iTune's software licensing agreement terms every time, OR it will open straight to iTunes and an iTunes tutorial will pop up. iTunes changes my preferences every time I open it too.
This is frustrating beyond all measure. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.
    Thanks.
