New Itunes refuses to get isntalled; but Quicktime does (????)
Everytime i try to install the new itunes version, it stops...it tells me something about my server and that i should contact the amnufactored or some stuff like that. however, quicktime installs just fine. I really REALLY hate this problem because im unable to buy ANYTHING from itunes and when i try to syn my iphone it goes at the speed of a snail. help help HELP!
i use a gateway laptop running on window xp.
try this tell me if it works
#1 first go here-http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301 read the important information about the software.
#2 Click the "Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package now" link on that page to download a file titled msicuu2.exe.
#3 Open the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install it.
#4 On the Start menu, point to All Programs and then click Windows Install Cleanup; the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
#5 Select iTunes from the list and click Remove.
#6 Click OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
#7 Repeat steps 5 and 6 if you have multiple iTunes entries listed.
#8 Select QuickTime from the list and click Remove.
#9 Click OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
#10 Repeat steps 8 and 9 if you have multiple QuickTime entries listed.
#11 Click Exit.
#12 Restart the computer.
#13 Install the latest version of iTunes from

Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

It depends on what iPhone you have.
If it's an iPhone 4S or earlier, click here.
If it's an iPhone 5, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, and that requires an Intel Mac with at least 1GB RAM.

I loaded the new iTunes (11.0.0.163) on my computer and also just purchased a new iPhone 5. Prior to loading the NEW iTunes, I was able to sync with my new iPhone 5. After I loaded the new iTunes, I now get an error message: 0xE8000084. What's up?

I just upgraded to 10.8.2 and Mail is having a problem. It won't remember my password for getting mail; but it does remember the password for sending mail, i.e., smtp. Does anyone know of a fix?
The solution surprised even me, and we've been using Macs since 1984 (still have an original 128K).
I contacted Apple support, and because we had just upgraded yesterday, clicked on the "exception" button as opposed to paying the $19.99 one-time support fee. An Apple tech called and the problem was solved in two minutes.
Somehow during the installation of OS 10.8.2 (over 10.6.x) the key chain data for my email ISP login password got corrupted. The solution was to delete both the POP mail and SMTP entries in my keychain.
Back to Mail, it asked for the POP password, I entered it and bingo, mail got busy downloading. Interestingly, the password was also entered into the SMTP panel.

i just got a new itunes acount because my other one wasnt working and it was fine i still had all my music on my phone, but then i had to restart my whole laptop back to the way it was when i first bought it because it was so slow, so when i downloaded itunes back and signed in none of my music was there. how do i download all my music from my iphone 5 to my laptop
I would not suggest starting anew AppleID as you will have problems with previous purchases.

Because it is part of your old AppleID (and your library does not just magically appear).
Did you make a backup of your HD?

Authorize your computer for your old AppleID then File > Devices, select your device then Transfer purchases.
I highly suggest you sort out the issue with your old AppleID and continue to use that. Remove your personal info from the new AppleID and don't use it. -

That could be some combination of the username or password, the SMTP server name, the TCP port, whether or not SSL is in use or not. It's more common to have SSL enabled. All have to be correct. The required SMTP server settings do vary by mail provider, unfortunately. You can use Connection Doctor to get more details on the particular error; Window > Connection Doctor, then open the drawer for a look at additional details. If you're not able to resolve the error from that output and from the mail provider's available documentation, and establish the connection, please scrub any personal details from the detailed diagnostics, and post that output here.

Hello, when our phones were purchased the wife set up both to her itunes account, We have since set up 2 laptops, and now have setup my own itunes account on that laptop. How do I change the phone account to match, Do I loose data? at the moment there are no apps or music or docs, but I dont want to loose messages, or contacts. We have turned of auto sync on itunes on the laptop. So I need to backup the phone, then do a ios upgrade to the phone as I am on v6.1.3 The wifes is all up to date on her laptop, but mine is so far behind and I am nervous about taking the next step. Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.

No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer. -

I have an iMac with a 10.4.11 operating system. When I click on iTunes Store, I no longer get the iTunes screen, instead, I get a new iTunes download screen.

New field in Cj20n getting populated but not in cj01.

I need to enhance a standard transaction CJ01, CJ02, CJ03, CJ20N by adding certain new fields to that.
I also need to add these fields to master tables PRPS and PROJ.
I also need to ensure that the new fields get populated in tables PRPS and PROJ whenever they are entered in transaction CJ01, CJ02, CJ03, CJ20N.
I used the following process.
First create a project in CMOD and attach the enhancement CNEX0006 to the project.
1. Go to se11 and in the PROJ table u will find ci_proj include , in this add the required custom fields.
2. Go to se51 give SAPLXCN1 in the program name with screen number 0600 , create the subscreen and in the layout
choose Dictionary./Program fields and drag and drop in the screen .
3. If u want to write any logic before the screen is displayed do it in PBO.
4. Now in the function exit EXIT_SAPLCJWB_002 , go in the INCLUDE ZXCN1U11 and write this logic
5. move-corresponding sap_proj_imp to proj.
6. Now in the function exit EXIT_SAPLCJWB_003 , go in the INCLUDE ZXCN1U12. and write this logic
7. move-corresponding proj to cnci_proj_exp.
Activate the project .
But in CJ01, the new fields are not getting displayed. If I have created a subscreen
0600 of SAPLXCN1, where should the fields get displayed in CJ01?
Please suggest if I have missed something.

i have tried everything and nothing works. when i installed itunes i saved it in a folder under tools. after i downloads a windows installer box appears saying "preparing to install." after that box disappears, nothing happens. the only time the itunes installation window appears is when my computer is shuting down. but i can't finish it because my computer is already in the middle of shutting down. it says that there is some sort of error, but i can't read it because the window only appears for less than a second. i've repeated this process several times, sometimes opting to "open" instead of "Save."
i tried installing an older version of itunes and it gave me error number 0x80040707. but it still managed to install successfully. but since it's an older version, it's not compatible with my ipod.
i've looked through the site and the forum, and nobody seems to have this particular problem with the installation.
i'm completely desparate and any help would be greatly appreciated.
