New iTunes Visualizer stuck at boring

Hi, people!
so, iTunes 8 is stuck in the Magnetosphere visualizer, and simply won't circle trough animations. I already tried clicking every possible command on the visualizer, including C, wich is suppoused to activate the circling thingy.
I'm posting a pict of the animation that's being showd -if it at least were one of the nice ones!-
at first it was working propperly, now it's just boring...

Did, you are absolutely correct. They 'broke' the Classic Visualizer with iTunes 8. I'm surprised more people have not reported it.
You can see the problem if you put the Classic Visualizer in the Random mode and notice as it goes through the different effects that approximately half of them now resemble two vertically arranged cones attached at their vertices (as in the letter X).
I have tried iTunes 8 (and 8.0.1) on a 17" MacBook Pro with Core Duo, a 21" iMac with Core Duo, and a 24" iMac with Core 2 Duo, all running 10.5.5, and all have the exact same problem. The only workaround I have found is to reinstall iTunes 7.7.1.
I certainly wish more people would report this problem to Apple. It's probably a simple fix.

Nothing is new to my library since the update and is never had issues before, aside from it not being able to sync a few songs. But wt the new itunes it is getting stuck like a skipping cd on song two no matter what song it is

Very sorry to hear that - can't imagine the frustration (and I dislike 11 enough over little things), but sorry my suggestion made things worse - all I can say is it ended up working for me =/
I think the next thing I'd try is doing a restore of a backup of that iPod on iTunes if one exists, and if that doesn't work, I think I'd try going back to iTunes 10.7 for the time being and trying the restore thing from that; hopefully it'll sync as it had been before the upgrade. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.

So, in iTunes, when you look at the shuffle's content (in the sidebar) and click on the playlist under the shuffle, over to the right, the songs are in your desired order, correct? Where do you look, or what do you do, that indicates the playlists are in alphabetical order? Are you saying that when you play the songs while using the shuffle, they play in alphabetical order?
If so, when you listen to the songs on the shuffle, are you using the playlist, or are you using the All Songs list? If you are in the default All Songs list, with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order (the middle position), the songs play alphabetically, I believe.
The 3rd gen shuffle uses VoiceOver. If you are in the All Songs list, you need to use VoiceOver to switch to the playlist (see manual linked below for details). When you are in the playlist (with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order), then the songs should play in playlist order.

New itunes 8.0 Visualizer problem

I've been using my visualizer on the new itunes and it freezes when i try to exit or i skip songs. My laptop is brand new bought it three weeks ago so i don't think it could be the problem. I was wondering if this is just a bug the developers didn't notice?

I also realized that if you connect your ipod to your computer when the visualizer is running it freezes itunes and you need to close it but force.

When trying to manually add new songs to ipod, itunes gets stuck on preparing to update and does not transfer songs.

While adding new songs to ipod touch, all was fine.
Then suddenly, everytime I tried to add new songs, Itunes got stuck on "preparing to update."
Now I can add no songs at all.

Somebody on twitter mentioned temporarily turning off their passcode before syncing and that seemed to help.

Okay, Ive tried for hours and need help! I tried to update my 3G to the new itunes. Since then doing so, im getting an error message that reads "We cannot complete your iTunes store request. The network connection times out." I trouble shooted and followed all the prompts it said to fix the issue, have unplugged and restarted, and now the only thing the stupid phone does is give me the "emergency call" screen! I set it to factory settings before downloading the new software.. Haven't seen another screen for hours! I'm getting frustrated.. Any thoughts? Someone? Please!!!

You should try to put the phone into Recovery Mode so that iTunes can restore it.
1. First, make sure that your computer has an active internet connection (you can open the iTunes Music Store and make sure you can navigate around as a way to check your internet connection).
2. Turn the phone off (hold the top button until the slider appears, then drag the slider).
3. Hold down the Home (round) button while you connect the USB cable to the iPhone. The USB cable should be connected directly to a good USB port on your computer, not on a USB hub, monitor, or keyboard.
4. Continue to hold the Home button down until the Recovery Mode screen appears (it looks like this: http://tinyurl.com/mhsje5 )
5. When you see that screen, release the Home button.
iTunes should tell you that it has detected an iPhone in Recovery Mode and that you must restore it.
iTunes will probably give you the option to set it up as a new phone or restore it from a backup. Choose setting it up as a new phone.

When downloading the new itunes, my computer stuck at half way point.

Well i have an Alienware laptop and i know theirs a WinAMP plugin i installed but with the new itunes layout i don't know how to get to view ==> Visualizer and so on so yeah can someone help?

It should be clearly visible when you're on an album page, e.g.
If you're looking at individual tracks, it's always been the case that you click the button with the price.
If that doesn't help, please post back and let us know what specific item(s) you're looking at so we can check it and see if there's perhaps a problem with a particular item.

How can I get my new iTunes account to allow me to Sync my iTouch? The only option it gives me is to "transfer purchases" from my iTouch to iTunes, but that is only about 25% of my iTunes library-most of it is CDs I have uploaded. How can I Sync without losing all my music from my iTouch???

I've tried a few of the iPod copy programs-the free ones and the ones you have to pay for, but I can't find one that will work for ALL my content on an iTouch.

IPhone won't sync properly since upgrading to new iTunes and iOS5

Hi,
I'm having great difficulty syncing my iPhone properly since upgrading to the newest software of both.
Ever since upgrading to iOS5 and the newer iTunes (10.5), my phone will start to sync but then get stuck on 'waiting for items to copy' and most of the time doesn't copy across (or back, depending on what it is). Sometimes if I sync a few times it eventually works, but other times, like at the moment, it won't do it properly. For instance, I've bought a song on my phone but now it won't copy across to the computer, and iTunes on the computer thinks I've already downloaded the song so I can't get it off there. It's incredibly frustrating but it used to work so well!
What can I do to make it sync properly? I was hoping a fix would be in iOS5.0.1 but I upgraded to that yesterday and it still does exactly the same things. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Is there a way to transfer purchased songs from one iTunes account to a new iTunes account?

This is a bit difficult to explain so bear with me! My two little sisters, years ago, started buying music off the iTunes store. It was my account so now i have all their purchased songs and apps on my account. At the time they were too little to have thier own email so I just let them do it on mine, I didn't see any problem with it. However, now that I am on iCloud and they all have iphones, I am stuck with all their contacts, music, games, etc. I do not want their music so I am wondering if there is a way to transfer their purchased items onto a new iTunes account that I will set up for them (they are in high school now and have their own emails, etc.) I have searched online and haven't found a solution to this. Please help! I understand that only one account can have rights to a song, but I would like to transfer their purchased songs to a new account.

Purchases cannot be transferred to a new Apple ID.
You can stop receiving their info by signing out of iCloud.

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

IPod not working ever since I downloaded new iTunes

I have an 160gb iPod Classic and am running Windows 7 on a PC. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes. First all of my album artwork disappeared off iTunes and wouldn't get the artwork for me. I had to manually put the photos in but only when they were saved onto my computer, copying and pasting left me with a black box. I didn't plug my iPod classic in for a while because I was awaiting the shipment of my new USB cable. When I finally did plug it in, my iPod refused to sync and then said it needed to be restored. I tried restoring, it got stuck in disk mode for a while, then I got a red X and it told me I needed to restore with iTunes. After many tries I eventually got my iPod back to the normal mode but it keeps telling me that I need to reformatt F: drive and various other syncing error messages but I can't get it to do anything. Now the home screen on my iPod where it shold said Music, Video, Settings, etc. is there but all the text is gone. Apple wants $150 to fix this iPod that I already got a replacement for less than 2 years ago. I did nothing for my iPod to stop working!! I think this has something to do with the new iTunes because it worked fine before this.
