New iWeb podcast feed-iTunes only has my 5 newest podcast...
Hello, I'm new to the whole Podcast thing, but I just Published my podcast to the iTunes store through iWeb. (I have a website where I have been posting the podcast(s) every monday.) iTunes excepted my podcast, and I went to my Podcast on iTunes, and it only has my 5 newest podcast episodes. I should have 8 more podcast.... Any ideas?

Is there a setting in iWeb for the maximum number of podcasts in the feed file? - some programs default to only the latest handful. Look in the preferences to see if there is a setting for this.
Otherwise it's not possible to comment unless you would like to post the iTunes URL and also the feed URL (please include the http://) for your podcast.

Bought a new iPad 2 and iTunes only includes Movies and Music tabs at the bottom of the screen, ie no TV Shows. If I search on the Store, say for Homeland I get albums, podcasts, etc everything but the actual TV show. Can anyone help.

I did an icloud backup on my old 4S with iOS 8.3 and wanted to install on my new iPhone 6 but it only has iOS 8.1.3! Can I do/use the backup after I chose "install as new iPhone"?
Because I cannot update the software until I chose if I want to begin with a new phone setting or download a backup.
But the backup is of course not compatible with the old iOS.
So will it be possible to get the new iPhone going, then do the software update to 8.3 and then download / use the data from
my 4S icloud backup?1. Settings > General > Software Update > Update the to 8.3
2. Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
3. Reactivate phone and follow prompts to restore iCloud (or iTunes) backup. -
My Iphone 5 says it has 7552 songs on it, however my iTunes only has 4125 on it. How do i get my phone to stop saying i have that many songs?
It seems to happen with songs that were purchased before synchronizing the new iPhone
I will tell you how I fixed it.
Note: I have iTunes in spanish so I will try to translate and figure out the commands that appear on ITunes in english. I will put my translations into brackets. English is not my native language. I will do my best.
The workaround is:
1.- Dragg no working songs from iTunes to a folder on the hard disk. (Only for backup purposes)
2.- Deleted those songs from iTunes library.
3.- On the left panel in ITunes click on "Purchased" under the STORE option. All your purchased songs will appear on the right panel
4.- At the bottom and right there is the option : "Download Previous Purchases". Click there.
5.- Click on the option "Are not in my Library" (top right)
6.- The songs you deleted from iTunes will appear.
7.- Downloaded them again. (You have the option to download at the bottom right)
8.- Syncronize your iPhone and that's all. -
After I did the update it deleted my phone contacts trying to restore but itunes only has memory of last restore yesterday when update was done.smhh
Yes all contacts checked and getting pop up message that says "your contacts, calendars,& bookmarks are being synced with ICloud over the air, so it isn't necessary to synch these items using itunes. icloud sync can be configured using your devices mail, contacts & calendar settings".
I have that setting as referenced above and only contacts showing are the 9 contacts I renetered manually today after losing all 3oo contacts. I then restored my iphone back to orinail and still no contacts. Please help -

The computer I use for Itunes (my laptop) only has XP so I can't use ICloud:(
I have a desktop that operates using with Vista.
I downloaded 10.5 and sought to sync my two iphones and two ipads with the desktop in order to use ICloud. However I got warning messages that if I synced with this computer that had none of my extensive library of apps, music, podcasts, etc. would be on it, I would lose it all.
I did authorize the computer. I knew enough to do that but am terrified that I will lose everything that I have accumulated and still won't be able to use ICloud.
Isn't there a way to do this? Shift my library FROM my devices to the desktop?
ThanksThis is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge! -
ITunes only has categories for ITunes-U, Podcasts and Downloads.
I cannot find music category. How do I get Itunes to show music and any other categories?
You can't - in each country Apple can only sell what they are licensed/allowed to sell (a full list of what is available in each country is listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3599). As you appear to be in one of the countries where music and films are not available then you cannot buy those types of content from Apple (and the terms of use of the stores state that you cannot use another country's store). You will need to find another music download purchase site or just copy your own CDs.

iOS devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) don't need authorising/deauthorising, that only applies to your iTunes account on computers. If you have already 'deauthorised all' in the past 12 months then you will need to try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can 'deauthorise all' again so that you can then reauthorise the computers (up to 5) that you still have and need : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

I've seen many versions of this question, but mine has some key differences.
The problem is that my iPhone 4S has multiple copies of almost every song that I've selected to copy from iTunes. The easy answer is to delete all the music from the phone and then re-sync from the iTunes library, except that I don't sync, I manually manage, because I have a 9000 song iTunes library. According to iTunes on my laptop, I have 835 songs on my phone, but there are actually over 2000 on the phone due to the duplicates. The fact that the duplicates do not show up in the iTunes library means I also cannot use the "Show Duplicate Items" tool.
I'm thinking that the only two solutions are:
1. Manually slide and delete all 1200+ dupes on the phone
2. Delete all music from the phone and then go back through the library and cherry pick what I want on the phone. This seems okay, but I don't know why this happened, so I'm afraid it will happen again.
I'd be thankful for any advice!The cause was probably a USB glitch during a sync or when copying. The music resides on the phone in separate files. A master file contains a database with an index to the music, an entry for each track and a "pointer" to the file containing the track. Somehow the index got corrupted with duplicate entries. It's likely that the music itself wasn't duplicated, but some tracks had more than one entry in the database. I've seen this happen when syncing (rather than manually managing) also. In my case deleting the track from the Music tab in iTunes, syncing, then adding it back fixed it.
A related problem I've seen is an album may be split, with some tracks in each of 2 or more album entries in the listing. Fixed the same way. -
Multiple albums on ipod even though itunes only has 1

Please help, I've been downloading my CD collection using iTunes and when I sync it to my ipod (7th Gen) there are multiple albums with the same name and songs(14 on some occasions) even though when I check in iTunes there is only one. This problem is not just related to one album but 5, the one thing they do have in common is similar album names i.e. Circus and The Circus, Greatest Hits and The Greatest Hits.
Coincidentally, Circus has 14 tracks and duplicated 14 times ??????
I've searched online and tried to find a solution but unfortunately not found anything which helps.
I'm tempted to reset the Ipod and start syncing all the songs but there is over 6000 and hoping there maybe a simpler solution.

AndyiTunes and iPod have slightly different rules for ordering and grouping content. In particular the iPod does not observe Album Artist, each may have different settings for how to treat compilations, and inconsistencies in certain fields can have unexpected results, such as generating multiple covers for the same album.

Transferred all my music to my new F:\ HD & now iTunes only recognizes some
I finally spent the time to transfer all my music to free up much needed space on my laptop's HD.
I would copy some at a time and then Recycle the original after making sure the copy worked. I messed up and lost some music, and am trying feverishly to replace it now.
I installed iTunes from F:\ making my iTunes music path F:\itunes\itunesmusic. I have double checked this by going to advanced then general and viewing the path.
I have tried to consolidated to no avail. iTunes recognizes music that I directly import from a CD,but not all my MP3 files UNLESS I open the individual songs separately from within their folders (I have wayyyy tomuch to make this an effective strategy). I have the library set to keep my folders organized.
Please Please Help Me!!!!!!!!! This is taking way more time than I had anticipated andis very frustrating to say the least!
I am moderately computer literate but no programmer - so hopefully I can handle your advice!

GurlHey, If the following is true then you should not have difficulties importing your mp3 files: your mp3 files are stored in a folder/in more than one folder on drive f:\. Go into Edit - Prefs, Make sure that the item "Copy Files To iTunes Music Folder When Adding To Library" is not checked - i.e. no green tick. Go to iTunes menu - File - Add Folder To Library and select the folder containing the mp3 music files that you want to import from your f:\ drive, iTunes will now import all of your mp3 files - in that selected folder - into your iTunes library. If you mp3 music files are contained in more than one folder repeat the above import procedure for each of the folders. This may take some time if you have a large collection of music files. Always ensure that your external hard disk is connected before you start iTunes otherwise iTunes will get confused. Also don't forget that any future files that you may place in any existing folder that has already been imported will not be dynamically updated by iTunes. And lastly any mp3 files that are already listed in your current iTunes library will be duplicated if they are also present in a newly imported folder.

Yes I had the same problem with my iPhone 4. What I did was connected my phone to my computer. itunes popes up and said that they have discovered a iphone in recovery mode. it asked if i wanted to update and restore. I clicked yes and it download the ios6 update on iTunes on my computer and then did the update on my phone through that. I got the same message and I thought that I would lose everything too, but I did not.
