New keyboard for eMac

Hi peeps,
Will the latest 'Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad featuring an extended layout; an elegant, ultrathin anodized aluminum enclosure; low-profile keys; and two USB 2.0 ports' 'plug and play' immediately when used with my old eMac version 10.4.11?
Also, if I bought a second-hand keyboard like I've got now would it work straightaway trouble free?
Cheers.

Unless your "old" eMac is a eMac G4/1.25MHz (USB 2.0) or eMac G4/1.42MHz (2005) you only have USB 1.1 ports, so you won't have USB 2.0 speeds. The kbd will work however.
 Cheers, Tom

  • Where can buy a new keyboard for my netbook?

I have Nokia Booklet with water damaged keyboard... where can buy a new keyboard for my netbook?

Sorry to hear your bad experience with Nokia Care Point in your region. Are you able to go to the retailer you purchsed the netbook from and ask if they could provide you with that part?
Also, you may want to try call Nokia Care Line and they may have more recommendation as to where you can get a replacement. For now I would suggest you to plug in a external keyboard until you manage to track down a retailer which will replace your keyboard.
Hope this gets sorted out for you soon.

Certain older Macs can't use later version Apple keyboards.
Various aluminum models were compatible with later model
G5 PowerMac and iMac, while the older could only use older
model keyboards. Third party USB keyboards from a variety
of makers other than Apple may work OK.
Be sure the Mac OS X is updated to the last Combo and
then see if there is any other software update is available.
Not sure now (years have gone by) if there was a firmware
update applicable to the older Macs so they could use later
metal keyboards. I'd found several white USB polycarbonate
    Apple keyboards to work with most of the last PPC Macs;
and bought spares as available, metal / newer didn't work
with mine. Several white plastic ones can work w/ intelmac.
There were keyboard model numbers (Apple) noted to work
with aluminum PowerMac G5, while others that look other-
wise identical (except number on keyboard) did not work...
Too new, and they weren't supported. Worked w/Intel-Mac.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • New Keyboard for TiBook

    Hi,
I'm looking for somewhere in the UK that supplies new keyboards for 667Mhz PowerBooks. I have been looking on ebay for the past couple of months, but have had no luck.
I have a PowerBook G4 667Mhz with a VGA output, the only one i can find that is close is for a PB with a DVI output
There seem to be plenty of sites in the US that sell PB parts, but it seems a little silly to buy a British version of the keyboard from the US
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks
    Mike

there was another one the day after even cheaper, but i didn't buy them as i'm after one for a DVI. if you know of any DVI ones (for a comparable price!) let me know!!

  • Find a new keyboard for a laptop HP ENVY15-j101sf

2 weeks ago, i spilled water on my keyboard. Therefore, there are now some buttons not functionning correctly, so i want to replace my keyboard. Could someone tell me where i can find a new keyboard for my HP Envy 15j101-sf. I am in France, so probably it is not possible to find one, but still hoping. Thanks a lot.

And you want to replace it yourself you have to remove the keyboard by looking online to see how to remove it and then go to ebay and find a matching keyboard based on the Part Number on the sticker on the underside of your keyboard and order the right part and replace your keyboard.

  • Where can I get a new keyboard for my Tecra A3 in the UK?

I spilt some water - damn! - a couple of days ago on my Tecra A3 and I think it is beyond fixing, though please correct me if I am wrong.
I haven't been cleaning it regularly and I think there was probably quite a bit of dust - and other foreign matter - under the keys and I think some dust has got, via the water, into the electronics connecting the keys to the white connecting tissue - I don't know what you call this - which links the keyboard to the rest of the machine.
Most of the keys aren't working, and some of them, whey they work, add in for free, for one tap, extra letters.
I removed the keyboard, and left it and the machine to dry and, when that didn't do the trick, dried the keyboard and surrounding parts thorougly - working delicately - and cleaned it using a tiny bit of alcohol and ear cotton wool cleaners. I also used a little air pressure producing machine to try to get rid of any dust. I think I did a fair job but It is still not working.
I think I will have to buy a new keyboard. Do you know where can I get a new keyboard A3 in the UK or a second hand keyboard that would be in perfectly good working order?
    Thanking you in advance,
    Conor Joyce

    Hi
On the Toshiba website you can search for the nearest authorized service provider. They sell all original Toshiba spare parts. Call them and ask for a new keyboard, they can order a new one for you.
Here you can search for the nearest ASP:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Find an authorized service provider
Second hands you get from eBay for example but normally keyboards are not so expensive so I would buy a new one.

  • Need new keyboard for Portege 4000/4010

Anyone know where I can get a replacement keyboard for this model notebook? The part number on the back of the keyboard is UE2025P03KB-EN
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Ray
Sorry but I dont understood why you ask this question. It is logic that you can choose between brand new or used parts. New parts you can order by Toshiba service partners in your country or by some independent PC shop. You have part number and I recommend you to use Google to find out where it can be ordered.
If you will used parts you can check eBay or also see if you can find something on the net.
    Thats all!!!

  • New keyboard for MSI GX660

I was wondering where can I find replacement keyboard.
Is it possible to get it directly from MSI?
I live in England. I need somewhere in UK. I saw one in ebay but delivery cost is too expensive because shipment is from the us.
    Thankyou

Its a long process. Its my fault.
Some tiny bits of biscuits went into my letter"C" key. I took it out for no reason without thinking. Try to put it back on. Wont fit in. It broke
I need C key for copy pasting. I am trying to fix it myself rather buying a new keyboard. I think warranty voided.

Is there any way that you guys can have the phone side ways and type with a larger keyboard for those of us with normal size hands lol. It would give us more room between the buttons and allow for fast typing. Just a thought

  • New Keyboard for an eMac

Will a Apple Keyboard; Wired; USB; Mac OS X v10.4.10  ; White; Aluminium (MB110Z/A) be OK for my eMac with OS 10.4.8?

The aluminum keyboard will work with your eMac, but you have to update to 10.4.11 to use it because you need to update the keyboard's firmware and the keyboard firmware updater only works with 10.4.11 and greater OS.

  • New owner for emac

I have given my old emac to my mother to help her get started w/ her first computer. I want to be able to update the software, but it won't accept my id or log in and password, and it won't accept hers, even tho I thought we had changed it properly. it would be fine if it would accept mine, it fills in my full name when the box w/ id opens up, and I tried using that and adding the password, but it will not take it. Where in the software, do I go to find the original settings and make it hers? We've already managed to do it with the mail program, with the help of Earthlink tech support, so I thought it was changed everywhere, apparently not.
it's driving us crazy, especially since security updates are overdue for it.

The best thing to do when changing owners is to use the System Restore discs to erase and reinstall the whole system. You mom will then be presented with the welcome screen when she first boots it up, where she will set up her own account and passwords. Software Update will quickly launch on its own after that, and present her all the latest updates to download and install.

  • New keyboard for Qosmio G50

    Hi
I have a laptop Toshiba Qosmio G50-10T and I want to replace it with the keyboard on the Toshiba Qosmio X500-110.
I know the topic is niezabardzo forum but maybe someone knows where, how, where you can order the keyboard.

Qosmio X500-110 uses a A4+10key flat half glossy black keyboard.
    Key Stroke 2.5mm
    Keyboard Height 5.5mm
    Key Pitch 19.05mm(W) x 19.05mm(L)
Unfortunately, I didnt find any details about the Qosmio G50-10T keyboard therefore I could not compare both keyboards.
However, you should always use the parts which are 100% compatible with the notebook. The ASP in your country could provide more information about available keyboards which support the illumination feature.
