New Kodak plugins for Photoshop

When reading the News items at the dpreview.com site, I noticed the announcement of some new plugins for Photoshop and compatible programs.
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0702/07020101kodak.asp
The asf.com Kodak site seems to say compatible with PSE 1, 2, 3 for the non-pro plugin.
Does anyone know about PSE 5?
The color restore of the ROC plugin looks interesting.

I have installed the Pro Version of the ROC plugin. It works with PSE V5.
During the installation, I specified that it gets installed in the folder C:\Programme\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins
This seems to be important (in my first attempt to install it, I did not override the folder specification, and PSE 5 did not find the plugin).
Personally, I find the plugin very expensive: nearly 50 US$ for the normal version, nearly 100 US$ for the professional version. This seems to be especially expensive when comparing these costs with the PSE license costs and when considering that each one of the Kodak Plugins cost these 50/100 US$
But of course, for those PSE users who have an important need for it, the 50/100 US$ might be worth it. I wonder however, whether there are similar plug-ins that are much less expensive or even free.
Personally I would welcome a decision of Adobe, to provide in future similar plug-ins (or sets/packages of similar plugins) at a much more reasonable price. Perhaps Adobe could provide reasonably priced sets of plug-ins that include among other some of the really nice photo-enhancements capabilities/dialogs of Lightroom. I should probably describe this in the "Feature Request" forum.

Is it still possible to purchase the Adobe Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop 7?
If so, can the plugin read *.raw files from an Olympus C-8080?

    HI mattscreative,
Yes I've installed that but that imports .orf files and my camera saves .raw files.
    Thanks,

Have you tried using the software for your camera? Looks like Olympus has one available for PS 6.0 and up. C-8080 Software:

  • Trapcode Form/Particular like plugins for photoshop?

    Hello all,
I would like to know if any of you knows about any plugins for photoshop, that work the same as trapcode form or trapcode particular...
I found the Ulead Particles plugin and haven't tried it yet, but it seems from what i saw that its not that important, what it does looks to me like it can be done with brushes...
I am looking for a plugin that can shatter text or images, turn images or text into particles, and everthing trapcode form and particular can do...
I know everything can be done using the available standard tools, but i am looking for something faster..
    Thank you for your help

    Hello, John!
I think that those guys have a filter : http://www.frischluft.com/
I would search google for rays of light photoshop tutorials...
but most of them will be rectangular to polar> wind, wind, motion blur>polar to rectangular... I guess that you already tried it.

  • EXIF plugin for Photoshop CS3 MAC version

    Hello everyone,
Question: Does anyone know of an industry-standard, reliable EXIF plugin for Photoshop CS3 for MAC? I already have an EXIF tab in my File > File Info tab, but I specifically need a plugin that reads Shutter Actuations from an image. I need to know how many times a camera I just bought has been fired.
    Rambling Backstory:
I just bought a used Canon 1d Mark II on eBay, and I think it may have been misrepresented in the auction. The seller claimed that the camera only had around 29,000 shutter actuations.
She based this number on a program called "Cancount." When I received the camera, I took a test shot, and attempted to download cancount. Unfortunately, I ended up on some German web site, which asked me for 13 euros to download it.
Instead, I downloaded the free, and much more detailed Simple EXIF reader for Mac. This program said the camera was closer to 160,000 shutter actuations.
    Here's the screenshot:
    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3295/2681473080_c22f82591f_o.png
All I want to know is which program is more reliable, Cancount or Simple EXIF reader. OR, does anyone know of an industry-standard EXIF reader that everyone agrees gives a reliable shutter actuation count? Thanks everyone.

Maybe i am looking at something different here, but i usually check my frame count under photoshops file- info ,and once there i go to advanced, and under the fourth arrow called http-exif, i can see my frame count. it says aux-image number. not sure if that will help you.

  • Optional plugins for Photoshop CS6 - installation advice?

Where should I / how should I install the Lighting Styles folder and the 8bf, 8bi and 8ba files included in the optional plugins for Photoshop CS6? (Win 32)
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Heather

    Hi Heather,
If you  have the 64-bit version of either of these OSes, then:
Windows 7 and Vista (32 bit): Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder
If you have the 32-bit OS version, then: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder
The Lighting Styles folder just needs to be in the same directory as the LightingEffects plug-in.
Secondarily, why are you wanting to use the legacy plug-in? Is it because you don't a video card that can enable OpenGL drawing?
    regards,
    steve

  • Icone plugin for Photoshop Elements?

Is there a Icone plugin for Photoshop Elements?

I installed the free 32-bit Windows version (as PSE for Windows is 32-bit) plug-in from http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/product/ICOFormat by copying ICOFormat.8bi to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\Required\Plug-Ins\File Formats and it opens .ico and .cur files fine. The same link also has 64-bit Windows and Mac versions of the plug-in.

  • Adobe Camera Raw Plugin for Photoshop Elements 4

I have downloaded the latest Raw Plugin for Elements 4 successfully and have gone through all the steps except i havent installed Raw Plugin as yet, i would like to know if i have to unzip the files in the downloaded Plugin before i install into Elements 4 or install as is and unzip when it's installed into Elements 4 ? Many thanks Lloyd fro OZ

In order to use the new plugin in Photoshop Elements 4, you will need to run the 4.0.1 Updater. Support for this version of ACR is the ONLY feature of the 4.0.1 updater.
Unfortunately, the new ACR plugin came out before we could get the PSE 4.0.1 updater out, so we need to do a workaround for the time being.
Until the Updater gets posted (which we expect to be on or before May 20), you can use the converter to convert your Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 files to RAW, then use them in the program.
The Converter can be found at: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3604
Sorry for the delay between the ACR posting and the PSE Mac updater posting.

  • Plugins for Photoshop CC

    Hi,
According to CANON's web site there is no plugin for the iPF 6300 printer.  Have I missed something?
I note the advice not to cut and paste the plugin from a previous photoshop version i.e. 6.
    -Keith-

    Thanks for the additional info.
I'm not familiar with that plug-in nor OSX, but I can say this:  The general "best practice" approach to getting plug-ins into the new version is to get a new version from the maker of the plug-in and install it.
Failing that you may (and I emphasize may) be able to copy some files from the locations they're at in your old version into the equivalent places in the new version.  The challenges are to a) find all the related files, b) ensure you don't copy anything extra that could break the new version's operation, and c) that the plug-in is fully compatible with Photoshop CC (2014).
    Good luck.

  • Plugins for photoshop cs4 64bit

Do you know if there is any plugins for the above version of photoshop? Thanks!

    There are plenty.
Did you have something in mind?
A lot of plug-in suppliers had to play catch up when 64-bit CS4 came out but I think most of the popular ones are now available in compatible form.

  • New serial number for photoshop elements 9

I have photoshop elements 9, my computer has ceased working and need to reinstall on my new computer.  How do i deactivate or get a new serial number for my programme.  I am desperately trying to use the programme.

You shouldn't need a new serial, just use your present serial for pse 9 and if you have trouble activating pse 9 on your new computer or want to get back the activation you lost, use the

  • New Pond5 plugin for PPro CS6

Just got an e-mail from Pond5 about a beta plugin for PPro CS6. Curious what everyone thinks about it:
    http://www.pond5.com/adobe
This is definitely something I was hoping to see one day (had actually mentioned it in a recent survey).

    First off....Anyone install this yet?
This is kind of funny....I just saw this for the first time on Pond5's website and thought it was something that was new, due to NAB15.....after a search here, I'm shocked. It's been a thing since over 2 years ago?? Wow, I never knew....I think its a great idea, but had some reservations about the integration. Wondering if it screws up anything or runs smooth as butter? I too think it is amazing that you can edit with the proxy and conform right to the HD after purchased. Still scared to install, due to my system running very well lately after getting my hands on a new Mac Pro. Don't worry, I've been part of the whole discussion about the 2013 Mac Pro render glitch thingy...Hence me grabbing one of the new ones when they got to the office and I did the switcherooo.

  • Camera raw plugin for photoshop 5.5 (windows) not updating

Hi, I'm trying to update the camera raw plugin (min 8.2) in photoshop 5.5 for windows. I downloaded, ran, installed camera raw plugin 8.6 and rebooted. The installation wizard shows as installed but when I open photoshop it still has camera raw 6.7.0.339. Please help!! (The dng converter works but the camera raw plugin has not been updated)

That may be because the latest version of ACR that works with CS5 is ACR 6.7
Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh
You can install ACR 8.7.1 in CS6 to get new Camera support without ACR new features

  • [ANSWERED] Where can I download the "Touch App Plugin" for Photoshop CS 5.5 for Photoshop Touch?

Just need the link to download this plugin. All of the links I searched for redirect to https://creative.adobe.com/products.
UPDATE: Here's the answer! You must download and install the "Creative Cloud" application with your existing Adobe ID. There you will find all of the "Try" buttons for the new CC applications, but also an actual "Install" button for the "Touch App Plugin" application!

You can try re-installing Reflow, the plugin gets automatically installed as long as Photoshop is already installed. You can also download it from this link:
    http://adobe.com/go/reflowpsplugin
Scroll to the "How It Works" section and click the download it here link (the link changes based on your platform)
Hope that helps and thanks for using Reflow!

  • Outside plugins for photoshop (cs4)

I'm using Photoshop cs4, and dl'ed a lot of plug ins for it. However, the regular photoshop extensions are uppercase 8BF, and the ones I dl'ed are all lowercase 8bf. I tried to rename the file and change it, but it didn't work.
Is there a way to get PS to recognize it, or will I have to get all new plugins?? I'm looking for some new and different effects to create graphics to use on paper and web... (preferrably free)

    There are plenty.

  • New Mac Pro for Photoshop

    Hi,
I currently have a 2008 Mac Pro 2 x 2.8 Quad Core Intel Xeon that I am thinking of upgrading.
    My questions are as follows.
Which set up would be best for photography based work, mainly Photoshops CS6 and Lightroom 4
I use a Drobo as my main working raid style hard drive.
I'm happy to spend money on a quality system but want to know it will be optimum for what I am using and dont want to just go for the 'top of the range' if it is pointless for the type of work I am doing (I never use video software at all)
Would there be a 3rd party company that would be better suited to set it up exactly for photography based work.
Am I right in saying the current Mac Pro's do not have thunderbolt or USB 3.0, so with that in mind, how long do people speculate that the new Mac Pro's will be available.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jason

YOU can see what Intel says (said?) at the Intel Conference this fall where they lay out for their vendors and everyonne what they plan and have in the oven for the next year.
Intel fell behind last year's plans with the complexity and issues they ran into, plus changes in the landscape. So did Nvidia with their new line. Hence everyone's plans went bonkers. And any IvyBridge Xeon? doesn't look like anything until this time next year, end of 2013. 2014 does have the next tic-toc and improved chips and memory architecture. DDR4 may get out of the labs.
    That much is knowable.
But what you can do today: 2010 6-core 3.33 w/ 4x8GB and GTX 670 plus some nice storage hardware.
See this guy's articles and advice, a heavy graphics perspective:
    www.macperformanceguide.com
Oh, and just my own personal.... a lot of 2008 owners are not happy campers for various reasons with power, stabilty, sleep/wake/freezes and maybe that 'first Mac Pro w/ EFI64" is showing crack in seams.
2010 for $1800 and up to around $3k - and your system is worth over a grand still once you can move over.
