!-Will Photoshop CS-4 work with windows 9 ?
2-it is going on a laptop that I will use in the field.Do I have to acsee the internet to activate it ?

Though I am not a fan of any trials, I think that you have the best solution. I would highly anticipate that CS4 will run perfectly on Win7. Now, the Internet connection might be an issue, but I know tons of folk, who do not have their workstations hooked up to the Internet at all, and many have the Adobe suites which include PS, as well as other programs. I cannot recall one, who has had an issue.
Now, I do admit that my PS does "phone home," when I launch, but then I do have Internet on all computers, so that would be expected.
To the OP, if the trial gives you any problems on the laptop, please update your post, so others can learn from your experiences.

There could is likely a compatibility problem between the old software and the newer operating system.

If the media that you are attempting to sync plays in iTunes, try removing the preference to sync music as this remove the media from the device. Once this is done, try syncing the media again.

(when I click on the Sync option I get the warning: "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." I fear that if I click this I will lose all of my important Voice Memos as well)

Just to add to what ChrisJ4203 said. You can sync them to your new computer using iTunes by selecting to Include Voice Memos on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. However, you still need to re-establish syncing with the new computer without iTunes erasing all the iTunes media from your phone (as the warning mentioned).
If you copy your entire iTunes folder (not just your music) from your old computer to your new one, along with other non-iTunes media you may be syncing with iTunes (such as contacts, calendars and any photos synced to your phone from your old computer) by using migration assistant of following one of these methods: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527, then when you sync again with your new computer it will recognize your phone and sync as it did before. You will still have to authorize the new computer for any Apple IDs used to purchase from the iTunes and App stores (in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer).
After that you can sync your voice memos to your computer as mentioned earlier.
If you want to archive your voice memos before you do anything with iTunes, you can use a 3rd party program such as PhoneView or Touch Copy.

A single user license provides for having it installed and activated on two machines.
If you are unable to deactivate on the broken machine then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations. If you do this before installing and activating on the new machine you can save yourself the problem of reactivating it.

Brand new laptop: Incredibly slow and laggy.

My mum received a brand new laptop on Saturday (this exact laptop) it hasnt been overly used as yet but the laptop seems very VERY slow. Browsers take a good while to open, sites like Facebook take ages to load - Farmville 2 for example takes an age to load and even when it does its very laggy.
Why is this band new laptop so slow? Nothing has been installed on it other than Firefox and the spec of the laptop seems pretty reasonable. Windows 8 is horrible but thats another issue.
Can anyone help or give any advice?

Do you open farmville from the laptop or from the internet? Have you checked the speed of your LAN or wireless?
Which are you using wireless or LAN NIC?
When you open application on the laptop is it slow?
Trying to determine if it is the connectivity is slow or if it is your laptop.
Also what version of AMD Catalyst are you using?
Here are some things you can do to make sure you are fully updated.
Make sure you have the most current .NET Framework 4.0
Make sure you have the most current DirectX 11.2
Make sure all of the other Microsoft Updates are complete as well. Missing Updates can cause issues.
Uninstall the AMD Catalyst you have now, before installing the Beta version.
I know most are trying to use the AMD Catalyst 13.9, which is used Windows 8 64-bit.

New laptop, existing iPad and snyc issues

Ok. New laptop installed. iTunes installed. All apps transferred. iTunes music and other sourced music available in iTunes. All my PDF files in iTunes
And yes the new iTunes is authorised on my Apple ID.
But...
     I need to sync my PDFs and I get "The iPad is synced with another computer..." do I want to "Erase and Sync".
This leaves me with questions:
     Why can't I migrate to the new laptop?
     This is from Apple, it should be easy right?
     Will "Erase and Sync" mess with my layout (experience tells me yes)?
     My iPhone has my music, so it's going to be worse when I move it over right?
Important items to note. All items (music,apps,pdfs,...) are on the new laptop, but I know where everything is on my iPad/iPhone and I don't want it to change.
Thoughts and advice appreciated.

Copy the entire /Music/ iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.
Everything will sync fine as it iis the same library.
You won't get the Erase & sync message.

Why is Firefox 6.0 very very slow on my new laptop (Asus G74) under Windows 7 x64 ?

Hello everyone ! Today I've received my new laptop. An powerfull G74. The first thing I have done was to install Microsoft updates. And then, install Firefox. And then.. waited about 20 sec for beeing able to type something in the url bar. Same thing about tabs. Open a new tab take about 10 secs. I Don't know what I need to do to have the same speed as on my old laptop with Firefox... :/

Hi iamjoshuaclark, I am sorry to hear that you are having problems getting Firefox to sync to with your account. The good news is that I am here to help get this problem fixed.
I see that you said that you are logged into your account but you do not see the option to sync. So right now I am going to make sure that you are logged into your Firefox Sync account. If you want to look at the article about this topic the link is [[Firefox Sync troubleshooting and tips|here]] .
First click on the three horizontal lines in the top right. Then near the bottom of the pop out menu you should see your email address. If not click on sign into sync. If this was the problem after you do this everything should be fixed. If not then the problem might be that your old computer in using the new vision of Firefox sync. The new vison uses email and passwords the old one uses a code to pull up your information. If your old computer is using the old system this can be fixed by updating Firefox and logging into Firefox sync. I will leave it there and if it still is not working let me know.

If you have the latest iTunes, an easy way to create a new library is to hold down the 'alt' key whilst opening iTunes (for Macs), or hold down the 'shift' key (for Windows).
This will give you the option of either using the current iTunes library or creating a new one.
There are various methods of transferring different songs to different iPods with a single iTunes library.
One is to manage the songs manually.
With this setting, you can drag and drop songs/playlists etc onto the iPod from iTunes, and also delete and/or edit songs which are currently on the iPod without affecting the iTunes library.
If you wish to keep the convenience of automatic sync, then you could set the iPods to sync with "selected playlists". This setting can be found in the iPod summary screen under the 'music' tab. With this setting, different playlists can be transferred and later deleted from each iPod without affecting any playlists stored in iTunes or the playlists on the other iPods.
Also, on the 'summary' main page you will see the option to "only sync checked items". With this setting selected, if you remove the check marks from any songs in iTunes, they will not be transferred to the iPod. You can restore the check mark if you want to put the songs back on the iPod at a later date.
Be aware that when playing songs in iTunes, any songs that do not have a check mark against them will be skipped over and will not be played.
