New laptop. Do I have to uninstall LR3.6, CS5, & El 8?

I bought a new laptop. Windows 7, 64 bit. I spend 99% of my time in Lightroom, and I would like to upgrade to LR4. I also have a 14" laptop with XPPro+, SP3, Core 2 Duo [email protected] From what I've read, LR4 probably will not run on this machine. If I install LR4 on the new machine, will there be a problem if I leave the old one on LR3.6? I am keeping this machine, and due to its portability, I carry it when I shoot. It is the newer 17" that I have given up on and I am replacing. I also have CS5 and EL8. Will 8 upgrade to EL11 with Premier 11?,

Thank you for responding to my question. Let me clarify it a bit.
I have these three programs running on two laptops already, one of which is giving me problems. I plan to quit using this laptop as it will not reliably hook to the internet. Do I have to uninstall these three programs from the laptop I am retiring before I try to install on the new laptop?

the installation files work the same whether from a disc or download, but there are other ways to mismatch a serial and installer.

If you did register it back then, open your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and you will find it there: Find your serial number quickly
If you still have it installed, open the System info in Help menu or look here:

Do the following:
rename the old library to something other that iPhoto Library.
copy the library to the Pictures folder on your new laptop.
launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select the old library to open it and convert it to the newer version.
Note: if the older version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 on it before opening with iPhoto on your new laptop.
If you want to merge the two libraries into one library and keep the edited versions, keywords, titles, etc. you'll need to use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to do the merging.

I own PSE 7 on disc. The laptop it was loaded on died. My new laptop doesn't have an optical drive so I downloaded PSE 7 from the Adobe site. It downloaded fine but I cannot start using it until I enter a S/N. The S/N on the disc box doesn't work.

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

Normally you can find your serial registered to your AdobeId. To find it please login to the Adobe website and check if you did register it to your account.

In general you will go true a educational verification afterwards you get the serial. So its in your email or account. If you still have issues get in contact with the chat team to get help.

The "activation server" at Adobe, which let you install and use it, was turned off years ago. You cannot use your CD in any case. (Though in fact external plug-in CDs are cheap, easy to use, and pretty much essential).
There is a special download of Acrobat 7 for licensed users (with new serial)... but it won't work on current systems. Unless you have Windows Vista, 32-bit, or older you probably need to buy Acrobat again. (No upgrades any more, sad to say).
