New laptop wont read TC

Hi, I've been using my TC for itunes storage....and yes it's backed up I recently purchased a new macbook pro and am trying to have it's itunes read the TC so I can reroute it's library selection to the TC. However, everytime I click on TC on the laptop, it tells me it's not connected and that it is password protected. It's not! How on earth to I get it to read the TC?

When you write "everytime I click on TC on the laptop", do you mean the TC entry in the sidebar of a Finder window?
Could the Time Capsule disk have been password protected for so long that you don't remember that? Try using AirPort Utility to investigate the TC configuration. You also might use the Keychain Access utility on your old Mac to look for a password for that disk.

New laptop wont play any of itunes.

i have a new laptop. i did the step-by-step advice on apple help website to move my itunes library to my new laptop. at first it was only importing 300 of my 2000 songs. now it has imported all the names into itunes. but when i click on it to play or make a cd, it says that the file cant be found. then once i click to find it, it really is no where to be found. i have dont everything i know to do. does anyone possibly know how to fix this

Content does not magically appear just by signing into an iTunes account. Upon closer inspection I'm certain that you will see a cloud icon to the right of the content. That indicates the content is available for re-download from iTunes.
Save yourself some time and hassle, copy the content from the original computer.

Changed itunes library to new laptop - wont open!

Having recently moved home and purchasing a new laptop i have downloaded itunes to my new laptop and copied my library from my old laptop to my external hard drive.
after installing itunes on my new laptop i copied the library to the itunes folder in the programme files folder as instructed to do so from the apple website now once it has completed and i try to open itunes it is telling me the library was created with a newer version of itunes so can not open but i've downloaded the latest itunes software, any suggestions people??

thank you for this it did work and i've managed to open it but once it opened all my music on my playlists has exclimation marks next to them to say the files can not be found. any ideas??

Jukebox Zen--new laptop not reading MP3 pla

I bought a new laptop and it's got all the power I need. I installed the Zen software, and plugged in the MP3 player to the laptop to download the updates from this website, but the MP3 player is not reading the laptop and vice versa. The only thing that happens when I plug it in is the MP3 player goes on and plays music. How can I fix this?
Also, I downloaded some of the updates and a warning came up that I shouldn't download further b/c my O/S (Windows XP Home) may not be compatible with the program and could screw up my system. What now?

Try uninstalling all the MediaSource application and driver from the computer. Next go to the website and download the latest driver, MediaSource application and Nomad Pack. You will also need to install them as in the order above.
When installation of the driver, the player need not be connected but after you have finish installation of the driver, it will prompt you to connect the player and then follow which, you can install the MediaSource application and the Nomad Pack.

New laptop wont accpet music off ipod

I recently bought a laptop, as i have moved away from home and need my own personal computer. I downloaded itunes tonight but it wwon't allow me to take all of the songs on my ipod, some three thousand, and put them on my laptop, because the ipod is synced with another computer, and to sync it with this one would cause it to delet all the songs off my ipod, which i do not want.
How do I get around this?
basically, I'm looking to sync my laptop and ipod together, with all my songs, including albums that were ripped onto my itunes on my computer at home, songs downloaded, and some bought off itunes.
is this possible or is it an annoying protocol set up to stop music being shared among computers?

Yes it's possible and yes it's to discourage large scale file sharing.
1). Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you only want to copy your purchases to the computer that can be done using iTunes, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (including purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

Brand new laptop wont open sd card

I put the sd card in laptop and nothing happens. I can't find where to open it myself. I want to upload my photos that are on the sd card.

Welcome to HP support forums. "dell inspiron 15 3000 series" is from a company called Dell. Have you pout the card in properly ? If yes, open File Explorer (old Windows Explorer) and you can see SD card as a drive on your computer. You can open and access files like any drive:

New laptop wont install/uninstall anything

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite L775 yesterday and it wont install anything. I tried to install TrendMicro antivirus and the CD drive wouldn't even read it...I tried to manually open the folder and run it, but not even that worked. So I went to the website to try and download it there, but still - nothing. iTunes as well as Skype will get as far as the download option, but when I click to run the setup nothing happens. I was told I need to uninstall Norton before I can install another antivirus, but once I tried that, it's been stuck at "Preparing to Uninstall" for about 20 minutes.
A little help please..?!

New mobo, wont read mouse/kb

Hello everyone, I just got a new Msi Mobo, amd cpu ram and a video card. I put everything together and went to go download drivers but there is a major problem. When I am in Bios I can use the Keyboard and Mouse but when I go to log in to my username for the computer I get no Mouse or KB support. The mouse and KB I am trying to use are both USB and show up in the Bios.
Things to note :
1. I am running Windows Xp
2. When I plug in a Ps/2 KB I can enter my username and pw but when I get in I have to re-activate my windows but cant select anything with only a KB.
3. I have tried all usb slots and nothing changes.
4. My Mobo only has 1 Ps/2 slot.
5. I have tried booting in safe mode and get the same result.

when i first got my airport extreme, my problem was my iBook G4, eventually i figured it out and fixed it, yay me, but now i recently received a Dell LATITUDE laptop, its windows xp, and no built in wifi. I received it with a chip thingy that plugs into the side (made by linksys) that connects to wifi, i've connected to my WIFI, but i cant connect to the internet.

Laptop wont read pdf files and I do have adobe and used it many times before. Using firefox as always and cannot locate download after I have asked it to be saved to my computer

Have you tried deleting all previous versions of Adobe first?
If not, do a search for it on your mac and then uninstall. Then download the most recent Adobe and search for that, then launch it from the search window.
I'm no expert, but I had the same problem and this worked for me. It's on the Adobe help page, follow the link from where you're downloading it, there's a few good suggestions there.

You need software installed on your computer to use all the advanced features of the printer.
Select your printer HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One Printer Series
Drivers control hardware connected to the computer (wired or wireless)
Software controls the programs that interact with the User
General Installation Instructions
Open HP Drivers & Downloads
Enter your Printer Model information
Select your Printer from the “Results” list
Enter your Operating System in the Drop-down menu
Click NEXT and Scroll down
Look for category Driver - Product Installation Software
Select the Basic Driver, e-print, or Full Feature Software
Save the *.exe installation package(s) on your computer
The file(s) will likely save to the "Downloads “folder.
Next:
If available, you may wish to download the Print and Scan Doctor and / or other programs from Category – Utilities
HINT:
Install the Utilities / Tools first; the little installation packages are smaller in size
· If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, Select run as Administrator and install.

If your in the photoshop elements 6 editor (not organizer) and don't see Help>Deactivate, then your version probably doesn't have activation.
Not all versions of pse 6 had activation.
Do you have the original media so you can install pse 6 on your new laptop?

Have to install my CS2 Premium DK on a new laptop with xp pro

Found out it is not possible to activate CS2 and that I have to download the CS2 Premium in Danish with my adobe id. Went there but I only found 2 files -Acrobat st. and pro. Does anyone know how to find the Danish CS2 Premium ?

Purchased CS3, installed it on a new laptop. Serial number provided by Adobe not accepted by Dreamweaver.

I have a new laptop. I logged into my Adobe account and obtained the serial number for CS3. I also downloaded the applications. When starting Dreamweaver, it asks for the serial number, but when entered, does not recognize the number as a valid serial number.

If you have a retail license and need to download a fresh copy of the installation files then they are available at Download CS3 products.
If you continue to experience difficulties then did you migrate/transfer/copy over any applications or files to this new laptop?
